    Lyrics
    Scott-Yeats
I went out to the hazel wood
Because a fire was in my head
And cut and peeled a hazel wand
And hooked a berry to a thread.
And when white moths were on the wing
And moth-like stars were flickering out
I dropped the berry in a stream
And caught a little silver trout.
When I had laid it on the ground
I went to blow the fire a-flame
But something rustled on the floor
And some one called me by my name.
It had become a glimmering girl
With apple blossom in her hair
Who called me by my name and ran
And faded through the brightening air.
Though I am old with wandering
Through hollow lands and hilly lands
I will find out where she has gone
And kiss her lips and take her hands.
And walk among long dappled grass
And pluck till time and times are done
The silver apples of the moon
The golden apples of the sun
The silver apples of the moon
The golden apples of the sun.

Is tthere not an award for the waterboys for what they have made the last 30 years. The high quality of the live performance, for the brilliant compostion they have created. etc etc. I know this is a poem not written by them but the music is brilliant.

Lovely piece from The Waterboy's best album since Room to Roam... I love the passeist edge of some songs, the rich and varied orchestrations, which remind me of the band's earlier days... And Scott has penned such strong melodies throughout the album.

Aengus, (or Angus) Celtic god of love
Angus is depicted as a young, handsome god with 4 birds fluttering around his head (symbolizing kisses): those who heard his trillion were charmed; It also has a cloak of invisibility, with which it would envelop its protégés.
    History
    Boann was married to Nechtan (or Elcmar, according to sources) ... to hide his infidelity with Dagda, this made the sun shine for 9 months;
Angus was conceived and born on the same day.
His adoptive father was Midir (or Midhir), son also of Dagda and Danú (matriarch of the Tuatha Dé Danann).
The legend of Angus and Caer.
One night, while Angus slept, a beautiful young woman appeared in the dream; When Angus woke up, he was in love with her, so much that he could not even eat.
The next night the same young woman reappeared in the dream, this time playing with a harp a beautiful melody ... Angus awoke even more in love with what he already was, so much that he fell ill with love.
Informed Boann of what happened to her son, he ordered the girl to be found all over Ireland; After a year of searching without result, Boann requested aid to Dagda.
There are sources in which they say that Dagda also searched for a year without results before resorting to Bodb; Others point out that Dagda directly ordered King Bodb the Red to conduct the search. Bodb the Red was looking for a year, until he located the girl in Lake Mouth of Dragon.
Angus traveled to the palace of King Bodb, where he was received with honors; Informed of the situation, was taken to the lake, where there were 150 girls walking in pairs, tied with a chain of gold ... Angus recognized his beloved immediately ... was (as told by Bodb) Caer, daughter of the king Ethal.
Informed Dagda of everything, he went to ask Caer's hand for his father; Before his refusal, an army was sent to the palace of Ethal, making him prisoner.
Ether explained the story of his daughter: Caer, like the other maidens, spent a year of their lives in the form of humans, and another year (alternate) in the form of a swan (the change took place on the first day of November). If Angus could identify Caer as a swan, he could marry her.
On November 1, Angus went back to the Lake of Dragon, where he saw the 150 swans, also in pairs and tied with gold chains.
Angus identified Caer, introduced himself and told him that he would like to submerge with her in the lake; She also became a swan, she corresponded in her love, three times they immersed themselves together in the lake, and then marched together to the palace of Angus, Brug na Boinne, singing a beautiful melody, beautiful and enchanting melody that left during Three days asleep to all who heard it.
Since that day, Angus and Caer are a couple

hmm I dont know... I kinda think that the music arrengement simply does not fit the poem... I'm not saying that it's a bad music, technically speaking it's a very good work, specially at 3:14 - 5:15... but for me it hasn't fit...
