Thank you for this. I'm certain I have done horribly on these test in the past. Like the first question, "I'm working better when no one is bothering me." The correct answer for everyone is Strongly agree. do you think anyone would do better on say and aptitude test if they were taking it while being asked to get up and do something for let say a puppy every 4 minutes, or would they do better in a calm, well lit and quiet room. Everyone works better when they can focus. That's why I hate these questions. I CAN work in highly distractive environments, and do it well. I'm an RN on a sick and busy floor. distractions go with the job, but to say I work BETTER being distracted versus being able to focus is ludicrous (which is why I don't do side conversations when passing meds). I see others make mistakes all the time because they aren't focused on what they are doing. It's SCAREY tbh Thank you for the tip. What I'm taking away is, don't focus on what they are asking, but what are they REALLY asking, what they are wanting to know.
This is counter effective, because nobody likes to be bothered while working hence all those who answer this question "correctly" are dishonest people. Hiring them would be a gross mistake.
I'd be thinking answer a) or b) as well, because a large majority of workplaces require teamwork, so a job requiring a solitary effort are few and far in between. Thank you for the explainations.
Nonsense. Being bothered has not much to do with teamwork, it means a chaotic working environment. If I were an employer, I would use these questions to detect dishonesty. Nobody likes to be bothered while working 😂

Job interviews are always two way interviews. I'm looking at the employer if I want to work for them. Being bothered while working does not mean teamwork at all. It means the working environment is chaotic and, no matter how much it would be my 'dream job', I don't wish to work in such a place. (It reminds me of the statement: "work well under stress" - no, darling, there should be no stress in a workplace. You, as an employer, should create a calm and peaceful working environment.)

This is stupid. They phrase it as "bother" not as team challenges.
Go Team "Actually reads and answers the question" Why can't they just say what they mean and mean what they say?

Complete corporate BS.
