      @@Teacher-Val Sorry for the misunderstanding; by practical, I meant that when you describe the steps and process of lesson planning, it would be great if you could also demonstrate it inside the class while applying each step. Thank you so much for your attention!

I will go through each element of my lesson plan and show how the written word comes to life through various games and activities in a real classroom. The point is to show that lesson plans help you "see" the lesson before it happens.

    As a Tech-Edu, we appreciate your insightful video on lesson planning and preparation. It's crucial to understand the benefits of a well-planned lesson. By organizing your thoughts and objectives in advance, you can ensure a smoother teaching experience and enhance student engagement.
    Starting with the question of why plan and prepare, you provide four compelling reasons, and we completely agree. A planned lesson allows for clear learning objectives, helps maintain focus and structure, promotes effective time management, and enables seamless assessment.
    Your lesson planning process is comprehensive and well-structured. We particularly appreciate your emphasis on lesson objectives, target language, lesson procedures, assessment methods, and lesson reflections. These elements ensure that the lesson is purposeful, engaging, and adaptable to students' needs.
    We would love to learn more about your personal experiences with lesson planning. Have you faced any challenges or discovered unique techniques that have enhanced your planning process? How do you incorporate differentiation and student-centered approaches into your lesson plans?

    • @Teacher-Val
      @Teacher-Val  Год назад +2

      Thank you for your feedback! I don't think I use "unique" techniques when I plan my lessons. I always start with lesson objectives or goals and include the target language. Most of my classes for primary school include two sentences (one simple and one complex) that cater to my weak and strong students. Also, I try to gear my scaffold towards the dialogue utilizing pair work or group work so students can practice the target language at the end of my class.

    I have 2 questions:1- what do you mean by target language?
    2- what do you mean by teach your students not your lesson plan?

    • @Teacher-Val
      @Teacher-Val  Год назад +1

      1) Target language means the language your students need to learn by the end of your class (vocabulary, sentences, dialogue, etc.)
      2) It means that you, as a teacher, need to focus on your students. If you see that something doesn't work, change it to meet your students' needs. Lesson plans are important because they are the road maps of what your students need to learn, but they are not holy books. They can be changed.

    Hi, teacher Val. I really enjoy your videos. Can you make a video with the different methodologies to teach English in the classroom? :)

      Hi Solari! Thank you very much!
      What do you mean by 'methodologies'? ESL Methods and Approaches (Task-Based Approach, TPR, Communicative Approach, etc.)?

    • @kartanineo
      @kartanineo Год назад

      @@Teacher-Val exactly. I could see in the sample of the lesson plan in the section Methodology: "task-based approach" and I would like to know more about this and other approaches.

    • @Teacher-Val
      @Teacher-Val  6 месяцев назад +1

      Your warm-up activity can be unrelated to the topic of your class. You do it to help switch your students from recess to learning mode.
