@sylverbullet1 your doctor is right. I too had pain in that area at one time, but I also walked with a SEVERE limp on my right side. Turns out it was severe osteoarthritis. Bone rubbing up against bone. The orthopedic surgeon I was referred to immediately recommended a hip replacement bcz it was so bad. I had the surgery and am now pain free in the groin area. I don't know how bad your case is, but please do not let it get too bad that you require surgery. Don't get me wrong, my surgeon did a phenomenal job, but orthopedic hip replacement is no joke. Good luck to you!
Thank you for sharing your experience! It's always helpful to hear from others who have gone through similar situations. Hope all continuing to go well.
I had arthritis in my finger. I went to the Middle East and it went away. I had an X-ray for hip pain while i was there, he saw a spur and it also turned out I had a degenerated disc I was 48. I went to osteopath and chiropractor to strengthen back etc. All good till I came back to England. It’s all kicked off 3 years later so environment certainly effects it. I would go back except its too hot dust and outrageous air pollution….
Why does my groin hurt ? The Dr said that it was hip arthritis. I thought hip arthritis would hurt on outside my hip area not in my groin area

Get an anterior hip replacement, and it'll be gone. Dude you'll walk out same day and be good to go in no time
groin and "front pocket" pain is a common symptom of hip pathology. anything that has helped?
