Unfortunately the main character Jim Hutton died soon after. He had a son, which became a famous actor , is name is Timothy Hutton.

I always thought this was one of the catchiest TV themes.

This opening of this show always used to scare the shit out of me (especially the busted spectacles) when I was a kid! I love it now because it still scares the shit out of me! I've only seen a couple of episodes of the show, but it actually looks like a great show! I'll have to catch more episodes on You Tube!

I still tend to say this when watching a TV show or movie.
"In a few minutes, this person will be dead. Who killed them? "

Ahhh… love me my Henry Mancini! While Elmer Bernstein wrote all the music for the actual show, Mancini wrote the Theme.

I loved this show. If I remember, however, it was up against 60 Minutes and I guess it didn't have a chance.

They rehashed the idea some years later and had much more success with Murder, She Wrote. No match for EQ imho. It was set in contemporary times, so added nothing to it's appeal. I love the period piece that is EQ tho' it was only 30 yrs. previous when originally aired.

OMG thank you : ) that was THE CLUE of a LIFETIME!
Catholics and Eastern Orthodox Christians believe this Jude is the same person as Jude the Apostle; Catholics hold that Jude was a cousin, but not literally a brother of Jesus, while the Eastern Orthodox hold that Jude is St. Joseph's son from a previous marriage.
