You should definitely check out the live version, imo it's quite a bit better because it has much more emotion (and more screams lol). It's officially posted on her channel for a couple days now.

I would say Ado and TK convey different type of desperation in their performance, especially the part after the guitar solo.
TK conveys more of a desperation in a sorrowful way while Ado conveys more of a desperation because the character is going insane. This pretty much justify the more aggressive treatment in the second part. The guitar sustain after the solo paves way for an even more aggressive second part as there’s no need to tone down the mood that much as in the TK version. That’s just my feeling on both versions.
But I agree that the guitar solo itself is a bit too much.

I honestly wished you would see the live prefomance, as in most people's opinion it's far superior to the studio cover version 💔
Please check the live version now that is also posted on her yt channel. Its one of the few time a live performance sounds better than the studio version
I do think you need to listen to her live version. it's superior. But also, i like when covers stray away from the original a little. makes for new points of interest.

I find the fact that Ado's version tried to give its own twist to the original COMMENDABLE! She tried to bring something that matched her vibe rather than copying TK. Anyways, as the other comments recommend, plz react to her live version
It's grown on me since this video was recorded. I still think it doesn't quite match the other instruments, but it does have so good energy behind it.

i love seing taste differences, i loved that guitar solo and the way it persisted at the end, i like that even more than the original for like being on the pc with headphones or using the speaker
the music would be very boring with all people having the same taste of music

i would listen to the original by TK and the studio version of Ado more as background but with the live i just want to crank up the volume to max and just do nothing more than appreciate the amazing performance

Definitely suggest the live version it helps and takes away in different ways but over all I say its better
Another standout "Unravel" cover is by Amane Kanata from Hololive. She can sustain a note for an almost inhumanly amount of time
I don't normally have this opinion on videos on utube, but the live version is definitely better
This is an ado cover so she does things differently so when listening it doesn’t totally bother me that the composition isn’t the same because with any ado cover she’s going to change it because that’s her style
I understand your complaints with the guitar, personally it's pretty eh it's fine, but I honestly love the changes with the drums, I feel like the build up at the end before everything drops out makes that drop feel more special

I don’t think I’ve seen anyone be so down on the solo but it was interesting to hear why
It's definitely grown on me since I first listened to it, but I still think that it doesn't musically compliment the other instrument as well as the original. But its definitely an interesting take on the solo

If you like hard rock and want to discover one of the best bands of the world if not the best IMO check any song of band maid, and bcs you are a drummer i recomend to start with "freedom live video" you will be amazed by the drummer, her name is Akane, remember her name, she never disapoints 🔥🔥

TK from Ling Tosite Sigure. He's the singer from the band Ling Tosite Sigure, but he does his own solo music. Thats what this song originally was.

The guitar solo is the more interesting, beautiful, dramatic solution...not like TK's approach. you don't notice anything, do you!! THIS IS NOT A COPY!!!! That's an interpretation...your reaction is worthless because you judge from the beginning whether it's a good copy...I think you're a TK fanboy, right? This isn't supposed to be hate speech. But you yourself are so trapped in this "small room without windows" that this reaction almost hurts physically. ...."No, I don't like that...they didn't do it like the original!" ...aaaaargh...do you always do it like that? And no, I won't bother looking at the rest of your content to see if you always do it like that. thank God, tastes are different. But checking covers to see if they do it exactly like the original is narrow-minded and ridiculous.
Everyone has their preferences. I love this cover, but the guitar solo was the only part that I didn't really like, but it's grown on my a bit since when I recorded this. I was looking at it more as how the original guitar solo complimented the other instruments. This guitar solo is much more energetic, but it kind does its own thing and doesn't compliment the backing instruments.
Either way, we're just here to enjoy music and have a good time talking about our opinions. No need to be so hostile 😁
I’ve literally done breakdowns of drummers playing their own takes on songs and metal covers that are entirely different from the originals. I just didn’t particularly like the guitar solo from a musical composition perspective. Ripping apart my content because I didn’t like one part of an otherwise AMAZING cover is very narrow minded and ridiculous.

@@coversandcommentary Thanks for your answer, as I said, tastes differ. Our tastes are not the same, and that's a good thing. I looked at my reaction...it was more aggressive than I wanted...sorry. and yes, it's primarily about music that should unite...not divide.
It’s all good. I just love taking my studio and musical experience and applying it to my analysis of songs. I LOVE all kinds of music and this is no exception. I see what they were trying to do in the solo on this cover, but it wasn’t quite to my liking in terms of composition, but I’m glad you liked it. It’s still hands down the best overall cover of Unravel that I’ve heard! 👍
