This episode of the Lock-Down series shows you how to renovate and care for the leather in your BMW. I will show you how to stop cracks turning into tears and how to care for the leather so that it survives the lock-down period. This method can be used for any leather products including the door cards. In addition the products I use can also be used on Vinyl.

We did not get this cosmetic package in the US...very similar to the 850csi leather bits without the wood. Just love the color combination of your car. Thanks for doing these videos. After 4 weeks of being shut in, I would watch you read the phone book. While some take issue with your methods that car looks just a few years old with low mileage. Keep up the good work.

@@TimmsBMWRepairsandInformation I found a a leather care product here in the States by a company called Sprayway, (who make a popular aerosol glass cleaner)- aptly named "leather cleaner and conditioner" that's also aerosol, for $6.00 a can. By far the best and least expensive leather cleaner I've ever used, and it smells amazing!
Cool vid as always! I’ve been gummy pflege-ing, teak oiling, headlight and wheel restoring. Leather is the next step but I can’t find the polish you’ve used on eBay at all. My interior is sand beige, not my preference but I’d like to at least have it looking a bit sweeter. Any chance you could point me in the right direction for this polish? Or something similar...? Keep up the videos! My E38 is looking tons better!

agreed those seats weigh a tonne ive had to remove my fronts twice , had to carry up three floors and had to have a little lay down after :)

Hello Timm I am Enrique, living in mexico City, I am about to buy a 96' BMW 850CSI and am wondering what should I look up before buying the car. I know repairs are expensive however it's one of a kind car, and I am willing to own one, but a will appreciate a timely good tip to know where are the mosto common maintenance problems I should look after woulb be of huge help. Hi Timm, have you changed/repaired the screen on the 8 before? I have dead pixels on my OBC top screen and I have an almost completely unusable radio screen. I can only find repair services and I begrudge using one of these when I have so much time on my hands in lockdown.
Luckily I have never had pixel problems in any of my cars! There are services on Ebay that solve these problems, and that's what I would go for.
Hi Timm, ever had radio cut-off issues with your 6 series? My e64 is brilliant engine wise but when it rains the radio goes crazy 😔 I did clear all drains out in the roof fold away bit.
No, not a common issue - if rain affects it then look for water under the front glass - make sure it has been 360 degrees sealed...
