Hey Michael, just wanted to say that your videos are great and super informative! I just accepted a CJO for skywest (ground school date is in February 😊).Thanks to you I feel like I have a decent understanding of the process ahead of me! Keep making all the great videos!
Thanks you so much for watching and leaving a comment. Congratulations on your CJO!! Will you be flying the CRJ or the ERJ? And do you know what base you want? Be sure to subscribe, would really appreciate it
Bro you are an inspiration and so motivational 🙌 🙏! Ive been following you for a while now. I just got out of the Army and im attending MSU Denver that has an R -ATP. The dream is to fly for Delta.
@MichaelHsu95 would you recommend doing a pathway, building up time with cfi and then going regional at the 1000 hour mark? How has your regional experience been? McAir Aviation has a partnership with Envoy
I’ve been hearing a lot recently that the easiest way to say American, is to work for a Delta or United regional, or vice versa instead of waiting for the upgrade time. Great video!
It's an easy transition for truck drivers to move over into being a pilot. Because they've already been in commercial transportation . Becoming a pilot is the next step up for a truck driver. Being a pilot is a decent paying blue collar job
Bro, thanks for sharing your journey and knowledge with us. It is really informative and gives me insight on how the future could possibly go. Crazy question, would you pay for flight training?
Thank you so much for watching and leaving a comment!! Don’t stop chasing your dreams. Definitely would pay for training, do whatever you can to finish training fast so you can start working. It’s definitely an investment and you’ll get your money back and so much more. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions
Can you talk about the details of maintaining and earning a type rating. How long does it take to earn a type rating? does your employer pay the figure? What if you take like a 2 year break from flying, is the renewal process for the type rating any different than an active pilot? Etc etc etc additional details for the type rating yes. Your content is helpful and fantastic.
Hey!! The type rating never really expires as long as you are current but you do need to go to recurrent training every 12 months. Usually the company will pay for your recurrent training
@@MichaelHsu95 Thanks Hsu. The photo of you fueling jets humorous. Drop a vlog on the type rating please with more info, such as, also at $90 an hour, how many hours on average would a regional pilot receive a month
@@MikhailGonzalez-Maltes would happen to know if the renewal process for a type rating for an active pilot is different than a pilot who is returning to flying after a 3 or 4 year absence.
I’m not exactly sure about it, I am just a beginner student pilot but wanna see myself as a successful airline pilot in the future and I’m being motivate from your videos. ✌️❤️

Terrific video, definitely spot on with the number factor of choosing an airline:
#1- Crew base
Thank you so much, really appreciate it!

I will be on the ERJ and hoping to get the ORD base!
@@Katie-qt4zk that’s awesome 👏 feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
Hey Katie. How was your interview. I’m a Canadian pilot applying as direct entry captain.
Can you discuss your typical schedule, in a future video?
Great info, keep the videos coming.
This is a great video! I will definitely make this video
Thanks for the update, Michael!

I would agree with that!
So is it better to choose a regional feeder connected to the bigger airline or work for the opposite regional to skip the upgrade time? @@MichaelHsu95
Amazing video Michael, ill see you soon in a random terminal for sure, take care!
I’m sure we will! Can’t wait for that day to happen

@@MichaelHsu95 Sorry Michael, I wrote it wrong haha. I meant to say "Would you pay for MY flight training?"
Hi Mike, Thanks for saying your last name "correctly". It's the most similar pronunciation to Mandarin. I hear "Su" often and that's not even close.
Haha thank you for knowing how my last name is said correctly 🔥

Most airlines have a monthly minimum. I belive its 75 hours for most. 100 hours max a month per FAA regulation.

It’s who you have references for and right now CJO if you can get one.
Great and super informative. Wish you a very successful career.

Hi
I have been waiting my interview day with Skywest. What kind of questions you were asked? Do you any video about your interview with SkyWest?
Aside from getting 1500 hours,
Did your current regional airline require you to have multi engine or turbine time? If so, how much?
Yes all regional airlines require a multi engine rating with 25 hours. Hope this was helpful, be sure to subscribe!
Do you still use those Randolph sunglasses? I remember when you posted that video so long ago...
Still wear that exact same pair 😎
@@MichaelHsu95Awesome! It seems like yesterday. So proud to watch you grow.
Thinking of making an update video on those sunglasses 🕶️
Which regional airline would you choose? 🤔
Probably Sky West or Endeavor. I really like that SkyWest has a pathway for 4 majors
FIRST!
You the best!!
