Cracking bit of kit and a good video, thank you! The three mains sockets AC though, not DC. The DC sockets will be the low voltage ones like the USB and 12v. Love the idea of this lifestyle and really enjoying your upbeat videos!

For charging power tools that EcoFlow and solar panel setup just won't do it, especially in winter. You simply won't have enough power to keep recharging tools. Disclaimer: I'm a handyman who's been living off grid in boats and vans for the last 5 years.

It works for me. Granted I've charged it once in work and a few times on the incar charger but mostly solar. Surprising how little amount of power a jigsaw uses

Hey Richard, good to see progress. That little spot you parked at is about 40mins away from me and between those concrete plant pot looking things onto the footpath there is a 12 mile hike from that spot and back. Lovely walk and nice history to admire along the way. Not gonna say the location for obvious reason however be nice to bump into you one day as its where I take the kids and my 3 dogs for a good day out. Stay safe ✌

Hi Richard, Love your channel. I was wondering if the Ecoflow can power your Diesel heater? I'm seriously thinking of converting a van into a camper. I would like to run all electric items from a Power station. Installing an electric system is adding to the expense and complication.

Hey Richard, the little oil heater really blew me away! I've been looking into overnight heating solutions using the same Ecoflow 2 River Pro, and was wondering if you could share some more information on it's performance with the oil heater? Do you run it comfortably all night / how good is it's performance / how long does it take to heat the van up / and are there any other alternatives (like a 12v electric blanket) that you've considered?

16 hours at 634 watts on the oil heater???

Have you seen gadget John video and the Eco Flo? I think you should have a look at it and see what you think i'll get a mixed messages from the RUclipsrs who usually I don't know which is right and which is wrong, but the gadget John one is a bit worrying if it catches a light and they're using the right gauge wire for that for your job, so I'll keep an open mind at the minute I like to hear your opinion on his opinion of his eco-flow be very grateful. Thank

There is no way for this to catch fire. These newer models have an inelegant bms battery management system which will shut the unit down if it gets slightly to warm after its already started it's fan to help with cooling. Fused to the eyeballs. And it's the only portable power station that's certificated for safety. No other unit has managed to meet the requirements needed . These newer models are really advanced

One dodgy cable and all the ones that were saying Ecoflow was the dogs danglies are now saying how bad they are. My Delta max power station has been faultless.

I'm curious as to how well the dodo fleece insulation resists conedsation. If you get any amount of water in the insulation and can't see it... thats it. Your van is done. Few months later rust has spread throughout the body. Thats something I'm terrified about myself for my own build. Ensuring absolute zero condensation is impossible and spending my tiny life savings on a van build... thats it. One and done. I won't ever have the money ever again to either by a new van and rebuild or fix the issues that may crop up with the van that becomes rusted due to condensation. How you would solve such a problem I don't know.

I'd say keep Good money by for mechanical breakdowns etc, the rust (if any) will be the least of your concerns while breakdowns can be Very costly...and they all pretty much break at some point. 👍

ECOFLOW RIVER 2 Pro, 768Wh LiFeP04 Battery will run this 600 watt radiator for 1.28 hours on full power....unless the van is already warm enough for the thermostat to kick in and switch it off. Divide 600 into 768 = 1.28......................This could be Very disappointing for someone if they're expecting 16 hours use at 600 Watts 😲☹☠

mate the insulation doesn't look complete so far, you REALLY do have to get a complete, continuous and multiple layers to have any chance of good thermal insulation. read a bit about pasivhaus principles to see what i'm talking about

@@iNDI_VAN_A_JONES but it's discontinuous so you also have thermal bridging
