Like so many of their best ones, this sketch was performed out of love and dedication. This is the nicest mockery you will ever see. Hate is absent from this.
I have loved this sketch since it was first aired and it took on an even better aspect when I finally watched the movie adaption of the Importance of Being Ernest. All the quips in that play is just like all the sayings in this sketch............brilliant stuff. Long live the Pythons!!!!!!
The sketch is funny, but the explosive gastrointestinal nightmare at 3:40 is hysterical! It sounds like she's rocketing hundred pound bags of cement into the deep end of a swimming pool at the end!
The first time I saw this, I lost it on the raspberry. I was laughing so hard, that my wife came from the other room to check if everything was alright.
this is one of those genius python sketches that has genuinely stood the test of time and will be funny forever.
14 years on from your comment, happy to inform all the sketches have and still are.........Big Nose...
Don't even understand why Wilde and Whistler suddenly decided to gang up on Shaw lmao
@@halfling49 because they could.

James McNeill Whistler authored a book called The Gentle Art of Making Enemies. However he did not prepare for this scenario.
@lamontcranston3177 very nice reply!
The only thing worse than watching Monty Python is *not* watching Monty Python.
I wish I'd said that
You did@@bobacrey1068 , you did.
@@bobacrey1068 You will, you will.
One of the best Python skits ever! BTW... Whistler was over 30 years older than both Wilde and Shaw!
One of my favorite Python sketches.

the Hungarian subtitles make this even funnier, somehow
Since I don't know Hungarian, I have to wonder whether they used a dirty Hungarian phrase book.
@@thexalon "My hovercraft is full of eels."

The streets of London are full of Hungarians.
C'mon Shawry!
the ONLY thing WORSE than A friendly WARNING, is A stranger's GREETING < #
Also amusing how the celebrities alternately address The Prince of Wales as "Highness" then "Majesty" .
Those photo stills reveals all !
So glad for these Hungarian subtitles. It's the only language I speak. wink wink nudge nudge
I sodding well did not! lol
It was one of Whistler's
Yes!
The one thumb down is Bernard Shaw.

All time best for me 😅😂😊😅
Multitudinal's comment will also stand the test of time.
Ahh! That's better!
Why does the title say, "Az Oscar Wilde-jelenet"?
Isn't this just as funny as fuck? Only 55000 views guLi? Should be more my friend, should be more,
