This popped up on my RUclips, decided I had to watch. I remember putting crisp packets inside the oven as a child so this intrigued me. Not sure I'd make anything though. I did thoroughly enjoy watching x
Love what you made. I make earrings with shrink plastic for my Christmas craft fairs. I make Santa, gingerbread cookie, and reindeer earrings. They get sold fast. Love the one you used today the best as well. Holds the colours really well. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for your tutorial on shrink plastic. That used to be one of my favorite crafts to do. I did so much shrink plastic projects. I may just have to try doing this once again. God bless!!!
I love shrinky dinks. I did them as a child, did them with my kids, and now do them with the grandchildren! We use sharpies. Colored pencils are just very light. Lovely work. Maybe I will pull the box and help the boys make gifts!! Thanks for sharing!
Sam, I literally made a ton of money with these. I made 1 1/2 squares that were album covers, and book colors. I just set my printer settings to light ink and then I baked them at 350 for 10 min. I didn't have a heating tool back then. So if someone can't find a stamp of what they want at a certain angel just grab the artwork and print it on your sheet. When I did band ones, I did every album they made, then flipped the artwork backwards on the back to get color printed on both sides. Book covers from your favorite books.
I have never had much success with Shrink Plastic. I do still have some, might have an other go, see what happens!! Thank You for another great Tutorial 💖
Forgot about doing this, great job. You can use colored pencils on the one you used in your tutorial, on the rough side. Just color lightly, as you know the colors intensify. If you want to use pencils on the other two you have scuff up one side with sand paper. Sand in one direction and then the other (north south and then east west (cross hatch)). Thanks again for the reminder.
This shrink plastic is pretty cool eh. I love the way everything turned out. Especially your ring. It is gorgeous and very vibrant. Tfs your video. I always did mine in the oven. But it is interesting that u can use your heat gun. I will have to try that.
Love this, Sam. Was going to give it a try this year but just another thing I didn't get round to... They look great, specially the ring ! Thanks for sharing.
I made loads of stuff with shrink plastic a few years ago. I liked making charms and adding them to cards. I used my jelly roll pens and the glitter comes though really lovely. Thank you for reminding me about it. Will be rutting through my draw and getting it out to play. Christmas word stamps are particularly good. I sounder if you could use dies??? Didn’t have my die cutting machine then. 🤔 bye for now 💁
Takes me back to my shrinky dink days. I had Tom and Jerry. 😂 (Still have Jerry somewhere). Great tutorial and more ideas to make. There is no end to your talent thank you x
Wow never thought. I love snowman so this be cool for me to do. Guess we can't use zig real brush pens. Planner charms or whatever charms. Cute to put ribbon through and put on a gift.
I Love shrinky Dink I used to do it with my kids and I have done it it with my Grandkids. This is a fun project to do with my Granddaughters, W Can't waite can make necklaces. Whenever I babysit they come running "What did you bring to craft"
Cool!!! The ring is gorgeous!!! Did you use a pre-made ring to glue the flower on to? Might have to just go hunting in Aus to see if I can find some shrink plastic!!!
Does the plastic smell 🥴 when its shrinking in the oven. I had some cancer treatments last year and I have to be careful what I inhale 😫 Love all your projects you're an amazing crafter. 🌻🌲🌻🐈
I love working with shrinky dink’s! I’ve done them with my children and also with my grandchildren, they love them too!

I think dies would crack the plastic but its always worth trying 😀
I have used bigs dies with great success and basic thin dies just can't be too intricate
Hi Sam. This is a brilliant project, not one I’ve tried yet, but would love to have a go with your great instructions 😊👍

Óptimo.... obrigada..!
Sharpies are excellent for colouring on these if people don't have the Spectrum Noir markers
Hi I use sharpies x
As far as I can remember you can use plastic that has 6 in the recycle triangle symbol. Haven't tried that myself but def read it somewhere.
Hi. I did my dog a tag in shrink plastic as she kept losing them so now if it goes missing I just make another x
Cool!!! The ring is gorgeous!!! Did you use a pre-made ring to glue the flower on to? Might have to just go hunting in Aus to see if I can find some shrink plastic!!!
I used a metal hoop I had from a broken ring 😀

Versa fine ink doesn't set and smudges even after shrinking. Sharpies and water colour pencils worked brilliantly for colouring
Hi you can use pencil just colour lightly you don't have to worry about your ink then.x
they shrink up to aprox 70% not 7x....just incase anyone is confused as to how much they actually shrink.
