Really enjoy your presentation style. This is arguably the most detailed video regarding the MACV-2 that I have seen thus far and has convinced me to get a pair myself! You've got a new subscriber in me!
The heel platform does not actually give you any heel inside, leaving you kind of flat footed, which I was surprised of. Strong arch across the middle, enabling excellent downhill, walking capability. Overall very lightweight, well constructed and durable.
Got mine in the cart and used your code, will most likely order tomorrow-I just like to think “big” purchases over for a day or 2. Hope these last for a couple years at least. I’m a utility man and on my feet walking 7-8 miles per day and also just started rucking last week so I think these will fit the bill. Thanks for your insights.
I agree with that thinking on purchases over a few days. How have you liked them? Also, have you gotten entered into the bow giveaway going on through the end of the year?
I cant wait for them to come out with the leather variant. I held off on the MACV1s because I heard the soul didn't last that long. I hear the MACV2 improved the durability
I haven't had the same luck with the MACV-2, only suffering. I've walked 80 miles, and the middle toe of my foot is still bothering me. This only happens with my right foot, because it doesn't matter with the left. I should clarify that I also have the MACKALL, the same size, and they don't cause any kind of discomfort. I think it's the rigid plastic of the toe, which irritates that area of the foot considerably. It could use some padding in that area. I'm going to sell them because for me, they're a pain in the ass.
Great info. These look really nice. Decisions… black or coyote..? I wonder if there will be a third option. I may have missed it, but how is the toe protection on the upper? Or is it really just at the very front with the sole material? Thanks.
I wish there was a happy medium when it comes to the insole. The insole that comes with the MACV-2 is too robust for me. I like the thickness and the shock-absorbtion, but I find the arch support to be too aggressive. I have a very low arch, and the GoRuck insole doesn't allow my feet to flex like I need them too. My feet feel very fatigued after wearing the boots for an extended period of time. I can't afford those SheepFeet, so if anyone has a recommendation for something as cushiony as the GoRuck insole, please let me know. Having said that, I think the boots are really well designed and made. I just need to solve the insole problem.
I can definitely understand that. I really like it but I can understand why they’d be beefy for some feet. Try superfeet or I personally like sheep feet.
@@redbeard_outdoors Superfeet pretty much offers no cushioning. The best I've tried so far are the Spenco Polysorb. They're the closest to the robust cushioning you get with the GoRuck insole that comes with the boots.
Hello, just started watching some of your videos. Thanks for your information and reviews. I have one thing though that drives me crazy in your video room. The American Flag is displayed incorrectly for being placed vertically against a wall. The blue field is supposed to be to the left as you look at it, not to the right as you have the flag. Glad that you have it displayed though as most people are afraid to display the American Flag because of the political climate. You can look up proper ways to display the American flag online if you do not believe me. 21 years of military service does it to you.

Thanks man! I try to keep it as close to the idea that you’re sitting in the room with me chatting about gear I’m excited about 🙌🏻

I couldn't agree more.
Just ordered the high top macv2. Will be the new boots I wear for my deployment.

supersoles
Great review! Might have missed it, but how does the sizing feel? Any need to size up or down?
I love the sizing with the wide toe box I’d go true to size for sure.

Would you say the MACV-2 are cushioned or are they more of a firm boot (specifically the heel area, got bad heels)
more firm in the heel but have good cushion as well.
@@redbeard_outdoors thanks!
Nice one, fella.
Thank you 🙏🏻 are you getting a pair?
@@redbeard_outdoors Might well do.

Appreciate the feedback. I have never hung one vertically before so thanks for the info and it’ll be changed in recordings going forward
Around 7:10, the repetition was too much . I abandoned the video .

Please fix your flag, field of blue goes on the left
I did in the more recent videos. Thank you for the feedback
