I’m from Michigan too! Would you suggest getting a roommate or jump into my own place?
It’s honestly all based on preference and what you can afford. Roommates can be great in a new city because they can help show you around (depending on the person of course) & you would be splitting the cost but if you get your own place you’re free to adventure on your own with your own space

I travel to ATL often will be moving there next summer from Los Angeles I can say your analysis is on point of the city from people I know who live there. My personal experiences I’d say more food than bad from where I’m from. Houston was my first option wanted to attend TSU for grad school but hurricane warnings stopped me. When you were in H Town it wasn’t much black culture or things to do?
That’s what’s up, Houston is a great city full of stuff to do, great food + black culture. I personally just wanted something different but Houston is great definitely one of my favorite city’s

Is Decatur ga a great place to live
There are some great neighborhoods in Decatur but honestly it just depends on exactly what part you’re trying to move to!
I was looking more into the suburbs area? I think it’s like 15 to 20 minutes away from the inner city.
