- In this video I explain my top 5 tips for moving to Atlanta the video is a little lengthy so I have put time stamps to help save you from my rambling. I hope the video helps. I've lived in atlanta for 4 years and since I've been here I had shot 400 videos here working as a videographer and I also have driven uber and done uber eats. So I have learned the layout of the city pretty well.

"It's just a nice looking apartment with ghetto people" is 1000% true! I just moved to ATL (midtown) and got a nice big apartment with a bunch of stuff in walking distance. I thought this meant that the people who would be in the apartment would be decent too but NOPE. I'd say it's more like a 50/50 split with folks just minding their business and dope boys for some reason. My main concern isn't even folks acting hood or whatever because your culture doesn't specifically make you a good or bad person but if you're selling drugs near me I'm done lmao. This video helped me in my apartment search for next year lol

Got shot by a Lyft passenger on July 12. (You read that right) Physically I've recovered, mentally not so much.
Lyft hasn't cooperated w police, the police haven't done their job effectively AND I'm stuck paying my own medical Bill's (10k).
Gig economy work gives the illusion of making money. By the time you factor in gas, repairs, food, etc.... you're better off working 40hrs/week at coca cola.

You are the true definition of what it means to start from scratch and work your way up to the top! It’s just so unfortunate that they’re still holding that old eviction against you... love your voice, by the way.
He's full of it. An eviction means the landlord had to FORCE a person out. Next time pack up and leave immediately when you can't pay the rent. Make sure you clear the place out and clean it. Now this guy is giving financial advice??? 🤣🤣🤣

What I learned back in the day when I lived in Atlanta in the early to late 2000’s, one wise Kat told me that you should wait till the weekend at night to see whether you want to live in the apartment settings, You see more on the weekends, rather than seeing it on weekdays….Good luck with your Home Search….Eviction mishaps are bogus, good luck with your future a s goals, it’s always great to see Positive People on Saturday Mornings Bro, I may move back to Atlanta, perhaps Houston or Charlotte….Those are my 3 future cities in the next 3 Years…I Wish I could afford to live in “The Bay”……Peace Fam

This video was very helpful. I was thinking about moving to Buckhead or Midtown and I been looking for apartments in those areas online but I rather look for apartments in person. Im also thinking about staying at an Airbnb for a month or 2 before I get a apartment. My gut is telling me to move to the outskirts but I rather be in the city. I’m a city person lol.

I did the Airbnb for three months thing when I first moved here, the place itself ended up bananas but it was the best thing to do in moving blind. I took that time to talk to ppl about the areas and see them!

If you can, try buy a house in the metro. Cheaper than renting, and you can get an amazing brand new huge home. It's crazy here.

We share the living room and kitchen. Aside from that I have the basement which is about 1000sqft and the master bedroom suite. So I have about 1400sqft of private space in the house. I prefer this much more than an 1bdrm apartment. The house is safe, clean, we have a garage.

U have to find a second chance apartment property if u have an eviction. It will fall off your credit in 7 years and u will be good. Your on point about the areas from nice places to the hood. Stone Mountain in the hood too 😂😂😂. I lived in Atlanta for 5 years. Thinking about moving back.
Second chance apartments are trash! I would suggest to find another way...
@@oluwilliams1221 all second chance apartments aren't bad. It depends on the area. I lived in one in Norcross between peachtree corners and Alpharetta. Was it luxury? No, but it was liveable and gave me the time I needed to get back on my feet. I will ask this, what do u have in mind since u seem to have it figured out because I know in Atlanta, they will not allow anyone to rent if u had an eviction and it's not paid off. That's houses included. Keep in mind, they may not have the money to pay the eviction.
It's all about adapting. You have to know how to adapt to your surroundings and respond to certain things. For example, if you go to a gas station in the hood and you see some young dudes outside selling water or mixtapes, it would make sense to support them because they're out there hustling trying to get a dollar. I rather support them because that could be the same young dude with a gun in your face trying to rob you. So, it all depends on how you carry yourself. If you're in the hood filming a video with expensive gear, no armed security to control the environment, then yes you might get your ass robbed. East Point is a nice area, people say it's bad but it's not all that bad. Yes, there's crime but there are actually nice areas and nice homes in East Point/College Park /Camp Creek. Now, traveling north to Dunwoody/Sandy Springs, yes it's nice out there but there's also crime there too. Everything that looks good ain't always good. Atlanta is a very big metro city and sprawled out. South Fulton area like Fairburn, Union City is nice, but there's crime there too. Same thing for the Clayton County area. You have good parts and bad parts. At. the end of the day, it's all about you carry yourself and respond to your surroundings when you're in a metro city like Atlanta. it's no different than being in Cali, Miami, Houston, Vegas, etc.
