Makita 18v brushless jigsaw is it as powerful as the 240 volt version?

A quick test and comparison of the Makita 18v DJV182Z with the older 240v 4350FCT jigsaw.

Hi there, yes my initial concern was the battery tool wouldn't be powerful enough. I hope this video helps people when making a choice of tool.

Thanks for this, seems like it has plenty of power for a 18v. Hate cords cutting large sheets, adding it to my 18v Makita tool arsenal!

Is there a reason why you're comparing mains powered with battery powered?
