    nice video tutorial. You mentioned using a non-toxic modeling clay medium to accept the image transfer. Do you know the name of the product or a brand? Also, how would remove the remaining transfer medium off the plate surface after the lines are scribed into the plate? I acquired some copper plates and would like to do drypoint on them but not sure how to get my sketch onto the surface.

    great video thank you. two questions spring to mind;
    1. what is transfer medium (gel medium, mod podge?)
    2. scribing the image is part of which process, drypoint or is this a stage to be etched later?
    Any feedback gratefully received.

      We use a type of non-toxic modeling clay, but you can also use a soft wax. The transfer is primarily used for drypoint techniques. Personally, I lightly scribe the transfered lines and use that as a basis for line engraving with a burin.
