Omnivere is better than unreal f you want your iclone scene to be intact. I've spent a whole week trying to get an iclone scene into unreal and everything gets scattered.. characters end up in T pose position or if you get the ani actions in separately they are in random positions in the scene messing up everything. I have 5 characters.. its not worth me trying to use UE.. would clearly take me too long. Omniverse is the one
Make sure to also download the Unreal Live Link Plugin in the Reallusion Hub, so that Iclone also has it. If you still don't see the Unreal Live Link Window in Iclone (eventhough you installed it) you can open the window by clicking on Plugins > Unreal Live Link > Unreal Live Link I hope that solves your problem ^^
i imported a selfmade charachter with live link i clone 8 into ue5 is it possible to record this in a sequence and then render it in ue5 ? because i am having troubles finding it , i asked the support team of i clone they tell me i have to contact unreal engine support , is it even possible to render from a live link ?

Quick question please? if there anything in UE similar to Blenders 'selection to cursor' please? As sometimes i have an object miles away and want to bring it back to where my cursor is. I have been using UE4 for years but this is one thing i have never found out how to do and it bugs the s**t out of me lol I always have to manually move the object back across the map to where i want it and surely there must be an easier way?
I KNOW RIGHT. So what I do is that I click on an object near to where I want to place it, copy the transformation and on the other object, paste the transformation. That will place it where it needs to go.

I did everything just like you until the 2-minute mark, then I gave up because nothing is happening on my end. Specifically, I connected iClone 8 and Unreal via Live Link, and after turning on virtual production and enabling the file transfer, my character doesn't appear in the project. There's also no RL folder, only CC Shaders. The only thing that's visible is the character's name and animation in the Live Link section, but the character itself isn't anywhere to be found. Do I need first to make the folder for character, and after that import him and afterwards start working with live link. Sorry, for asking but I'm completely beginer with Unreal. Could you help me out and tell me how to fix this? Thank you so much in advance
It doesn't work for me for some reason. I have the live link enabled in both unreal engine and iclone, i have the auto setup enabled, i have added the soure in live link (unreal engine) and after clicking transfer in iclone i get a black character without textures and it doesn't move. I have dragged the livelink blueprint into the scene just like you. Do you have an idea what could be wrong?
Just for clarity, do I need to buy iclone8, the unreal engine plugin on the Reallusion side, and then the free engine plugin in the market place? Cause I saw the Reallusion side plugin is PRICEY. but it looks amazing so I want to be sure.

Im sure in ue5 u can grab the gizmo on the circle corner ball > Grab the circle by holding down the scroll wheel. Then drag it to the plane > right click and set pivot etc.
@@Markom3Dohhh not sure. Do u get 2 widgets for 2 characters. Ive never used 2 characters to be honest. Try that click on the circle base of the widget with middle scroll wheel, then right clk, set as pivot... great feature.
It looks similar to what Gettaroboshinwun does in Iclone 7. To fix the animation root problem. from what I understand. Iclone 8 does have a option to fix that root animation problem.
Hey man my character wont move from the one spot in livelink im not using a sequence to record. Im planning on livestreaming. He moves but cant walk around. Any fix?
@@Markom3D I do add the origin first then I activate live link. When the character apears I can animate them but whenever i walk it slides backwards into the original possition instead of walking around :(

I'm having problems with this method, when I press play....if Unreal isn't the active window, then it doesn't respond to iClone. Meaning the only fix for me seems to be to put empty frames at the start of the animation so that I have time to go back to Unreal before it starts clipping frames from my animations. Jankiest thing I have ever seen. I really wish there were a better way to do it or that someone could help me figure out how to fix that annoying issue.
Update: I found out I can add an Offset on the LiveLink that acts as a kind of delay, also I was experiencing choppy animation, increasing the buffer significantly eliminated this.

I did instill on UE5 but on iclone I see in time 1:43 "unreal live link" did not appearance to me?? what is the problem??
Make sure to also download the Unreal Live Link Plugin in the Reallusion Hub, so that Iclone also has it.

The UE plugin is free for Indies unless you make too much $$ that is specified on their website.

So how do you get that character from iclone to follow the terrain in UE? Seems like a lot of effort for no benefit.

Can you bring more than one character in from iClone 8 and Live Link them? Have you done it?
Yes. It is very much possible. Make sure their names are unique and matched in both programs.

So do you use this to create your character animations in the game? Or is it just for cutscenes?
I want to know this too. As it defaults to root motion and creates an animation, I'm assuming you could use it for character animations.
