Hello, I was looking for battle rope fitness exercises and happened to come across your page! I absolutely love it!!! I’m just a chick looking to lose weight. No interest in joining the military or anything. Do you have a weight loss training program? Do you offer online personal training? Thanks in advanced!
Hey! Check out grittysoldier.com 👍
@@GrittySoldier thank you
@@tiadickerson449 absolutely, you might also be interested in training on the app: my.playbookapp.io/gritty-soldier
WOW! I got tired just watching the video during my supper! I‘m going to give this a shot the next time I get access to the ropes at my local gym.
Supper? Nice to see old people are into the battle ropes!
@@cleito001I’ve tried them before, but I didn’t have a great systematic workout like this one. My Beats, iPhone 📱, and I will head to my local World Gym soon and give this a shot!
Finally I did two rounds, it took me almost a year to do the 2nd round.😂
Yes I love the battle ropes workouts. Thanks for doing these sir they are so motivating.
🫡
4 rounds
Awesome! 💪
Did 3 rounds
Excellent
great Support ☠️💥💥💥💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
2 rounds then stair master after.
Yep, got smoked. Wouldn’t have it any other way. 😄💪
Thanks!
I did 1 round as a finisher 😅
I did 2 rounds and then 2 sets of bench presses. Thank you for the video. Definitely kicked my a$$.
Perfect!! 😂
Tried this for the first time after barely a week with battle ropes. And I did it immediately after doing your other 10 min rope video from 10 months ago, so I am BEAT. But you make these so fun that I'm excited to keep it up and try for more as I progress! Thank you man!
Huh lol
Hey Gritty, you should join us for the Fan Dance Winter edition. Mote epic and more pain and gain with the winter weather.
I would this year but just won’t be able to on the date it’s happening, I think I’ll be able for 2025 (next winter) though!
Very curious to see you take a mock PST for the Navy Seal contract at your current age. I know you’re in shape and would do great I’m very curious! I commented this on your last video as well but just in case you didn’t see it I’ll post it on here too. 500m swim for time 10 minute rest, max push ups 2 minute rest, max sit ups 2 minute rest, max pull ups 10 minute rest, 1.5 mile for time. Have a good day gritty!
Might have to give this a go 😉
@@GrittySoldiersweet!!! Looking forward to it.
I never understood the point of battle ropes. Ive used them several times at a gym, swinging my arms was effortless once I found a rhythm. I've burnt more calories cleaning my bathroom vs using battle ropes.
If you could share long term benefits of using battle ropes as part of regular exercise, I'm all ears.
Cheers. 😉
In conjunction with another workout, where would we fit this in?
As a warmup or a standalone from a workout? Or something different in mind?
For example, lets say I have the following schedule:
Day 1:
AM: rest/sleep in
PM:Chest/tris (focus on slowed eccentric and explosive concentric, reps between 3-5 after warmup),
Bench press
Upright bench press
EZ bar/straight bar Superset (skull crusher, overhead pullover, closegrip bench press)
Dumbell fly
Dips
HSPU 10 reps EMOM for 10 minutes
10 minutes run/bike/swim/climber at easy pace
Day 2: AM: Sprint workout
1 mile warmup
1 mile
75 mile
50 mile x2
.25 mile x 3
PM: Legs, Core, Grip
Power Cleans
Deadlift
Barbell Squat
Lunges
Superset (KB Swings and Box Jumps)
DB Carry
Core (alternating speed bike, hyperextensions, medicine ball plank)
Day 3:
AM:5 mile run or 15mi bike
PM:Back/Bis
Pulldowns (back, front, narrow)
Single arm DB rows
Bent over row
Superset curls (3-5 reps heavy, then 10-12 light)
DB Carry
Day 4:
PM:shoulders/arms
DB Arnold Press
Machine shoulder press
3-way raises
KB Swings
Abs
Day 5:
AM : Active Recovery (stretching, light cardio)
PM: Ruck (cycles from 4mi to 12 mi, starts over at higher weight once 12 is reached)
I am attempting to add detail to give as much to work with. Its been about 3 months with no major changes to structure on that schedule, and the progress is slowing down, so I was thinking of seeing if I could add something like this somewhere to introduce some variables.
Smoked💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
💪 👊
Way to kick my butt! Thanks Gritty! Please keep ‘em coming. HR was at 175!
The ones at my gym seem heavier than the ones you show. What is the weight on them
Im using a 2” 50ft rope, it’s pretty heavy.
I’d love a Battle ropes workout for shoulders
Where do you get your boot laces? I know you use sneaker laces, but I want to make sure I get the correct laces.
Where did you get these battle ropes?
Check the description I’ve got the link in there 👍
Great video Gritty! Any chance we could get a pull up focused work out next?
This is my second day doing these exercises, and I have completed two of your sessions. man I feel great 🙏🙌💪
You look like you’re on one of those old gladiator horse and buggy things
I needed two IV bags just watching this. Dang!
Great freakin workout 🏋️♀️
Get some!
💪
Fire set
🔥 🔥 🔥
Good stuff.Im going to do this at the gym this week
This is not going to build muscle.
Yes it is
@@GrittySoldierHow do you increase weight as you get stronger? Do the ropes just keep getting heavier and heavier? How do you increase volume? Just keep adding time to the workout? Where does that end? As you get better at the skill of battle ropes you'll get less stimulus. Do you do conventional weight training?
Try it and come back to me
@@JerBachandYou think after 3 decades of strength training I'm going to find new growth from doing cardio with battle ropes?
@@JGH1708if you want to increase the difficulty of each wave "rep" you can make the waves bigger meaning greater work to get them up also you can stand closer to the anchor point so you have to bring more rope in each wave and yes it does build muscle but mainly strength and endurance so if you combine it with conventional weight training you can lift greater weight for more reps and together it's really good combo. Also dont take this as a hit I don't want to be mean just informative. Have a great day
Hey gritty I really really need your help and guidance. RUclips or ig isn’t allowing me to post my comment to your posts I’m not sure how I could get it to you. Long story short; I just need your opinion on what my recruiter is telling me. I’m trying to enlist with a ranger contract but was short on the GT score with a 100. Is there an email I can reach you at? Would mean a lot! I just think he may be lying to me just to get me to enlist.
Great stuff just wish u wasn’t having back pains and covid body aches otherwise I’d do it
Hey, Gritty I tried this and its challenging but, I feel like your other battle rope was harder just my personal opinion. I've been using your other battle rope workout for this past year now and its helped supplement a strong upper body. So, thanks man.
what do you use for the seconds countdown?
