Seeing as the Viltrumites are some of the most powerful people in the Invincible Universe, it’s probably not a good thing when one lands right next to your and your mother while you’re having dinner, but this is exactly what happens to Mark Grayson when a viltrumite named Anissa lands on earth and immediately tells Mark that if he doesn’t come with her right now she’s going to end his mother right infront of him. This causes Mark to come with her 2 miles up in the sky, where she apologizes to Mark saying this isn’t how she wanted to start this conversation, but she tries to convince Mark that siding with the Viltrumite empire would actually be good for the earthlings since they’d experience an amazing Utopia and technological advance for the hundreds of years it would take the Viltrumites to drain the resources off their planet, something that the humans are already doing. She also tells Mark that part of her mission on earth is to have a child with the assigned Viltrumite agent for the planet, however she tells Mark that she’ll give him time to decide what he wants to do with her and Earth, however when the time comes for him to be replaced by another Viltrumite so they can complete the mission, she’ll be back for him to force him to comply.

She likes the hard way, it is literally the way of her people. That's how the viltrumites breed. If the weak survives the pounding of the stronger before the breeding, obviously the child's going to be pretty strong. That said, what Mark is going to go through is messed up.

I don’t think it’s going to be particularly controversial. It was really well done in the comics and the reception reflected that. In general, the show runners have elevated the emotional complexity of the comic, I’m expecting that whole subplot to be done with even more care and consideration, if anything.
Based on some characters beings changed, I bet they instead of the whole r*pe thing, it’s instead gonna be her pinning down mark and taking some of his blood, creating some sorts of child making machine into her body, I mean we can show people being killed but somethings will be changed like how they made amber be white washed, having her character be narcissist when it came down to her talking down to mark, also maybe they won’t take it off and they’ll just like make the whole r*pe scene in like three pictures and that it’s, with some sad shocking music , with the episode ending in a dark music

For those of you who don't know, Omniman implied that SA is kinda part of Viltrumite mating since the strongest choose their mates, whether they like it or not. He tells this to Mark after he told him what she did. I'm not trying to justify what she did, but just know the others can potentially do it too
Every Viltrumite, including Nolan, has murdered BILLIONS, and I can guarantee that most if not all Viltrumites decided to have some "fun" while committing xenocide. Anissa's rape of Mark is a rounding error on the scale of atrocities she's committed; Conquest and Thragg are worse.

The society we live in believes wanton murder and brutality are more permissible than sexual assault. A character can genocide a planet but as soon as they breach sexual consent it's some huge atrocity. The eviscerated characters certainly don't consent to their demise. I just don't see how this can be the worst character if they objectively commit far less atrocious behavior than other characters.

@@nanaiahmanoj6774No, I don't agree with that. From a narrative standpoint anyways. The SA was important in showing the audience how terrible Viltrumite society is, also his forgiving her later on, showed a political side to the conflict that set a precedence for all viltrumites. If Omni Man was forgiven for what he did, if General Thrag was forgiven then Annisa would be forgiven too. If she was punished for it, then non of the viltrumites would trust the new ruling family. Also she died just right, she died leaving a family behind and having a large amount of regrets. She didn't go peacefully, she died protecting Mark's wife and family, a family she broke and damaged with what she did. Also leaving a husband and two children behind. A death deserved by people of her terrible sins.

Probably very similar to how it's done in the comics - mostly in silhouette/implied. What's really going to take it to the next level is Steven Yeun doing some absolutely haunting voice acting. He's going to give the assault the emotional gravity it needs, and it's going to hurt.

Another Amazon animated show (Hazbin Hotel) just aired with an episode that tackles very similar subject matter. I think it was handled well, but opinions online definitely vary.
