Affinity Designer - How to create album artwork

hello, i have all 3 affinity apps on my mac, but cant find a simple cd label template to just place a regular square photo into this template to end up with a round shape an a hole in the middle. Can you help me?

I switched to edit on Affinity Photo but then could not switch back. The Infinity Photo option was greyed out and couldn't select it.

+Jbeezy breezy Hi, are you on the latest version? If so you need to choose the "Create artboard" option when you create a new document. Hope this helps.

***** When you go to create a new document its there in the menu under the document units, a check box thats says 'Create Artboard' - I hope you are referring to Affinity Designer...

I am new to all this design thing. I want to do album/songs cover but I bought Affinity photo. What the difference and do I need Affinity designer?

You can use both Affinity Designer is a vector program where you can create vector art with smooth lines in text and you can also insert pictures as seen in the video, and you can also do light compositing too, Affinity Photo is like Photoshop you can do heavy compositing, more filters, and it is a raster program only like Photoshop which allows you to do the same except there is no artboards its found only in Designer, but making albums covers or putting pictures together is no problem with this software you have it is great too.
