Awesome video man! I had my first at 32 because of symptoms. I didn't have cancer but it is better to find out if anything was bothering you. The test is basically free in australia yet less than half get it done.

A friend aged 40 asked why I was having this exam at age 45 when the recommended start age is 50. I replied that ads on the radio recommended it and I have no fears of this intimate probing. My friend started to have aches, went to a doctor, had this exam and was rushed into surgery for advanced colon cancer. He died at 42 yrs of age after an agonizing year and a half. He weighed about 80 lbs at the end. Avoid this exam at your own peril.

Very sad story. It should be done younger as it is on the rise.

Thank you Dr. Kratz for sharing your experience. After viewing your video I felt more at ease and ready to go for it! Your family is awesome and Grace so adorable. You'll have to make more videos and let your family continue to be the announcers. Thanks again.

Just had my pre-prep and having the prep in 20 mins..Im nervous..I had Diverticulitis for the first time in my life 2 months ago. Before that I had a few years of strange things with my indigestion but just thought it was gluten intolerance. I used to get really crampy intestinal ache followed by diarrhea..So taking the prep I hope I don;t get any pain! I don;t mind the diarrhea just the pain. Lovely friendly vid, thanks very much.

I'm having mine done tomorrow afternoon & have to take 1st dose of SuPrep in about 3 hours. 4 days prior, I was only allowed to have plain white rice, plain white bread, skinless chicken (or turkey or fish), Rice Krispies cereal no milk (broke filling out of my tooth), & clear drinks like tea & ginger ale. Today I'm having sugar free lemon- lime jello, sunburst lemonade popsicles (can't have the green ones, because I didn't know they are 🍉 , beef broth (smells like a wet leather coat). The ginger ale & chicken broth I bought taste horrible, so I'm mad! I can update after things progress. I tried about 20 years ago & they said I wasn't cleaned out & I didn't go back! Good luck with yours next month

Lynn P thank you dear 💐 nurses were wonderful, took 3 to hold me still for iv, but they kept me calm. Doctor said i was completely clean & didn't find any polyps. Did biopsy to try to figure out why i have been having chronic diarrhea for nearly 2 years & no medication worked. Still in much pain, though i was told i wouldn't have any. Bowels looked like green beans all yesterday & i didn't have any! I can tell you everything i ate & drank so you can have clear results too. Have a great day 🌻

Lynn P when I'm more awake, I'll give you full 5 day strict menu & helpful hints. I wish i could upload videos. This guy has cute family, but he made many mistakes that should get him fired!! My boyfriend has never had a colonoscopy (though every time he 💩💩💩, he clogs the 🚽🚽🚽, & has to use his collectors sword 🔪🔪🔪 to unclog it! 😒😞😣😩😫😖😵😲😟😦😧😕👀👃👃👃👃👃👃👃👃💩💩💩💩💩💩💩👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
But even he agreed about the dangerous dietary errors in this poor excuse for a doctor's video & we agree that everyone should give it thumbs down, flag him, & get him fired asap!! If you follow his instructions, you will fail your test! I failed mine in the '90's & put off a re take for nearly 20 years out of fear of starving & failing again. I was a big hit at hospital Monday! Main nurse is having her 1st on in February & i told her everything i did & what to expect & important things everyone needs to know that the videos & instructions & doctors don't tell you! & i even gave my gastrointestinal doctor a unique thank you gift that everyone loves & had never seen & he said he's definitely displaying it in his office! But considering he has offices all over the state, i might not get to see it for bragging rights. I bought myself one too, so there's my proof!

Lynn P Please let me know when you get my messages & when i know we are here at the same time, i'm going to post something just to you & delete it immediately afterwards so i can coach you & get you through this any time of the day or night. I'm straight & I'm not a doctor, but i know enough to not want anyone to suffer before, during, & after, so have 📝📆📌📌📌📌📎📘📂💻📱⏰👓☕
Ready, because I'm not going anywhere except maybe to 😴 if upstairs neighbors ever stay still (their 🚽 destroyed my ceiling & clothes & slumlord isn't doing anything but encouraging them) License & Inspection & Attorney General are getting involved

Why bother sleeping if you have to take the 2nd dose in a few hours anyways? I would be too anxious to sleep anyways.

Anxious about what? The drink is gross but tolerable and they knock you out for the procedure. No need to be anxious - unless they find something.

    Lovely video but...
I wish someone (including my own GI doc) would of warned me about the fire and rectal burning rash 🔥 😭 after taking the first part of the prep solution. Besides all those tips everyone must know and prepare with plenty of a really good diaper rash cream or in my case I chose to do a mix of frankincense-lavender essential oils to ease the burning ☺️

If I have part of my colon removed, do you think I can get away with drinking less of the colon prep.
The office has me drinking 1/2 of the bottle the day before, and the rest of it the next AM. (split-dose)
Do you think this is better than drinking all of it the night before?
Also I am worried about getting hungry the day of the prep. Do you think if I drink lots o soup broth, it will help with the hunger?
Also can I / should I drink a little bit of water with the prep the next AM, (the day of the test)
My test is at 9:30, and was instructed to finish the remainder of the prep by 6:00 AM.
I think a lot of times, you ask these girls in the office questions, they really don't know what it's all about, they just read information off a computer screen to you.
I asked the girls in the office about being able to drink less prep, due to having less of my colon, but they just took the easy way out (for them) and just said, "It would be best to drink it all.
Also, the nurse in pretesting told me, I would be better off to drink about 3/4 of the gallon the night before, and the remaining 1/4 (about a quart) the next AM.
Have you ever heard of that.

Hi, I will have one on Fri-Feb28. My doctor has me taking Suprep but before that Linzess 290mcg. about 12pm-1pm. What is your opinion of this.? I am afraid the Linzess will be harsh. . In the past I have had a hard time drinking all of the extra water needed to activate the Suprep. I ended up taking about 4 soapy enema bags the night before and again the next morning Will the Linzess be a big help? Thank You,
