I need new M+S or Snow tires on my Jeep wagon, but we haven't have any serious snow for the past two years....so I've been holding-off. Hard to justify buying something other than All-Weathers when it rarely snows, and most of my mileage is Interstate highway. ...The current tires are a death-trap when it does snow.
I bought my first new tractor three years ago. Got a snow blade with. We got over 20" that year and I could barely get it out of the shed. Hasn't snowed enough the last two years to use it.
Always so impressed with him keeping it interesting with the go pro angles angles. If I was doin it I wouldn’t remember to turn the camera on half the time. Keep it up, awesome video👍💪
Good video Zach. Lots of variety to follow. This early snow has complicated a lot for your normal schedule of things. All of your equipment starts really good in this weather. Very good. Neat wheels for the four wheeler. Glad you got the three point sticking up figured out. Good project for another day. Thanks for your time making video and to Becky for editing. Thanks. Iowa farm boy from years ago.
Hey Zach, I just wanted to say that you are one of my favorite you tubers. You are funny, helpful, and very kind. Thank you all farmers. Hopefully I’ll be one too one day!
I relate to you and your dad so much. I'm running around getting stuff done/fixed and routinely get stuck on something. Dad comes around and looks at it and makes an observation I missed and we figure it out. It works in harmony.
Thanks for this one. It is I think just as important to show this as it is the planting and harvest. Most people do not know that farming is year round work there are no days off so to speak. When one job is done time to clean up and repair and get stuff ready for the next job. I do want to see more of the snow removal and the snow plow.
Your dad is looking good. How’s his knee. One of the special features of your channel is seeing the generations working together. With your son joining in, that’s just something most of us just don’t get to experience. Thanks to you all farmers. We non-farmer type take way too much for granted.
We got the same 2 systems go through our area here in ND, people who still have corn out is having the same issues as the farmers in your area but fortunately we didn’t plant much corn due to how this spring went. Come to think of it it’s the 3rd year in a row we got a bunch of snow in October. Now the next few days the township roads will be painfully shloppy for the trucks. Great video!
Hope the weather lets you finish putting crops through that combine instead of snow. You seem not to worried about it knowing your relying on mother nature to cooperate. Great attitude is one of the reasons I watch your channel keep it up.
I am envious of your clean building. I clean it, Dad can't be bothered to pick up after himself... so it gets bad fast. (or put tools back in their proper place, though I have no room to talk, I have planted a few wrenches, they don't yield well in our dirt) =p
Your dad is wearing the same leg brace that I am wearing. I went to the doctor today and I have to wear mine another month. I start back therapy on Monday. I wish good luck to your dad.
Hey Zach. As a Deere service tech. Your problem to your 3pt hitch lowering issue, is the result of your rockshaft lift cylinders corroding with rust/dirt at top of cylinders/around and under outer dust seals. Swell around pistons, create a binding to retract, with no load on quik tach. Can take apart with leaving base attached/disassemble and overhaul cylinders...If not binding due to misadjusted sway blocks.
Children and their toys! Guess your other Deere tractors don't have sway blocks for 3-point hitch? One of the great Deere inovations. All of mine have them from the '57 620, '59 730, '78 2640, and '99 6410. Love your videos here in Arkansas!
On the 3 point of the tractor you can run the hitch manually. When youre standing at the back of the tractor on the top right theres a rubber cap that pulls off and you push and turn the screw.
What’s hilarious is that I watch your videos and now I talk lie y’all do. I say yeah a lot now and say golden all the time. Remember I am from Mississippi and we don’t talk like that but it’s definitely funny for around here. Lol
With the 3pt. We have had a lot of issues with that on anything with exposed cylinder lifts. Out Deere mechanic said always store tractors with 3 point down. Haven’t had an issue if we do that
Texas? Well last night we had a heavy fog to were you couldn't even see down the street all you could see was lights it was like Halloween My friend who i called started to legit play sounds and she tried to scare me but couldn't
I have a 6175r - you may have locked off the rear linkage (hydraulic arms) or set a minimum height that it wont go past. Both controls are on the arm controls to the right of the tractor seat. Just suggesting. UK Farmer.
The main pivot for the top “lift” arms needs greased (it took a ton the first time we greased ours). Our neighbor told us to do to not have problems with them not wanting to lower, after he had a tractor that he barely got to go down doing what you did but using a tractor loader. The grease zerks should be on the top outsides of the center casting. I’m sure that wedging the drag arms didn’t help, lol.
that 3 point is sticking because the quick connect is keeping the bottom arms a set distance spread, near the pto there are "guides" to push the arms wider when the 3pt is lifted. it stabilizes implements so when you lift them to travel, they don't shift around. Give this a thumbs up so he can see it!!! edit: watched the video, yup.
Seeing those shop doors open while you are moving things around has my dad instincts kicking in. Close the doors we aren’t trying to heat the county. Hahaha.
Possible that the burner nozzles need to be drilled out. Possible that the small holes are built up with rust. Had to do this at our plant every several years. Take a look at flame 🔥 and make sure you have a nice blue flame.
Your Quicktach is in Cat 3N. Switch it to Cat 3 and you should have no problem assuming your snowblower can do cat 3. Our dealer delivered one to us like this once and it took us a second to figure out.
In the 3 point settings there's an adjustment so it doesn't go all the way up. We have same problem with our case and it seems to help if we turn that setting down just a little bit
Another great vid. Thank you for sharing with us all. I do not know about anyone else. But has anyone noticed the large amount of adds that seem to be running during your videos? I have really noticed it over the past month / couple of months. It is at least twice as many as used to be and yes very very annoying. I hope you are getting a percentage of that, because if not you should be.
That 3 point hitch is real common for us in Australia on all makes of tractors (currently running a jcb 8310) Just flat out lack of use Brand new theyre tight Then a little rust gets on the pins and its game over We only use the 3pl for 5 days a year on a grader blade to dig drains So bit like you Use it a few times in mooiiist conditions then let it sit for 360 days To validate my theory we bought a used tractor off a vineyard and they use exclusively 3pl implements That hitch functions perfect with a bit of wear We got a little NH T4 for running a post rammer for fenceing
So we grew up farming. Planting, doing chores, bailing hay, chopping, picking corn, and waiting to take dad’s snowmobile out! And shooting some miscellaneous wild animals! Watching you and your son makes me reminisce about my childhood!
More than likely on the 6175 the rock shaft got rusty from being up all summer and not using the 3pt I bet once the blower is on and you are constantly going up and down with the 3pt it will free up seen it a bunch on western truck and tractor repair channel and it happened to one of our tractors
Quick hitch are great in theory. Not so great when switching between attachments. I'm with you, make the snowblower fit your quickhitch. Not the other way around.
I’m not sure if you know but your three point hitch comes apart. There should be two bolts on the side. Take them out and the bottom hooks (or sides of the hitch) you can swap them. This makes the bottom two hooks wider. This moving the arm farther apart
You dad is awesome. Enjoy him every time you can.
I hope the weather holds out so you can finish up on the corn this year. I also hope you and crew stay safe for the rest of the harvest.
Back in the 80's I bought a 4 x 4 pickup. Didn't snow for 4 years after that.
Then you sell it and it snows
lol
I bought my first new tractor three years ago. Got a snow blade with. We got over 20" that year and I could barely get it out of the shed. Hasn't snowed enough the last two years to use it.

Love you’re content. It’s because of you that I am now a member of FBN. Thank you
It's such a blessing to have bonding experiences with your son. I should know, I have 4 sons. Ages 20, 18, 14, and 12.
Thanks for this one. It is I think just as important to show this as it is the planting and harvest. Most people do not know that farming is year round work there are no days off so to speak. Awesome Video and Much Love from Kentucky!!

Hey. Every tractor he moved had a working battery.
🤣 didn’t even notice. Good catch!
He didnt move the trucks.. Probably different story there....

True
Thats why I don't think this is the real Zack. This is the actor that plays him.
Thanks for the video. Needed this today. That snowmobile is sweet.
Good ole minnesota weather lol, I'm hope you can get back out there soon. Great video as always!
Hope the weather lets you finish putting crops through that combine instead of snow. You seem not to worried about it knowing your relying on mother nature to cooperate. Great attitude is one of the reasons I watch your channel keep it up.
Love your Dad! Always calm and cool!
Great video the new wheels and tires look good and the snow mobile looks fun!!!
I love your office references! Allows me to enjoy even more!
When your 5 minutes into a video and you realize it’s just uploaded 🤣 I have been binge watching the videos all day keep em coming man!
Hi Zach. You are one busy man. Thank you for the video. You were so busy it wore me out. I have to go and take a nap.
Snow pushes are the best. Ive worked at places where we have em on skidsteers and wheel loaders. Can move a ton of snow
Good luck with the rest of your harvesting when you can get going again!
Your Dad seems so easy going, you seem to have such a great father -son relationship.
💥 Onyx must be the coolest kid in school.
*Keep on tractoring!*
I am envious of your clean building. I clean it, Dad can't be bothered to pick up after himself... so it gets bad fast. (or put tools back in their proper place, though I have no room to talk, I have planted a few wrenches, they don't yield well in our dirt) =p
My Millennial farmer hat and hoodie got delivered today! Hoodie is comfy for sure!
The Welker wagon....to funny!
Farmin is always busy if not hard work and you do it! Good to follow with alittle sled and son quality time. Makes it all worth it.
Your dad is wearing the same leg brace that I am wearing. I went to the doctor today and I have to wear mine another month. I start back therapy on Monday. I wish good luck to your dad.
Hope everyone's day is going good wish you guys the best in these times ☺
Nice video . Hope you will have some what of a mild winter
Hey Zach thanks for the great video, hope you guys can get the rest of your corn harvested soon 👍
Great Vlog, Snow with crop out is an unusual, problem in the southern hemisphere, and not with the amount of corn you have to get in, thanks
Now this is what I call awesomeness!!! Nice job zach
as much as I am not ready for winter.... 15:33 changes my mind immediately.
Cold looking sunset but very pretty!! Stay warm guys 🥶
Our 3 point hitch does the same thing. Usually it takes a few people to stand on it to get it to go down.
Good Works Tractors for the win! Love Master Courtney the owner, such a class act and good man. 👍🙂
The Welker wagon 😂

I about lost it. Hilarious.
Got me laughing pretty hard!
I just subscribed, love your show, I used to work for a green framer but now I work for a red farmer, SORRY
I would like to give a shout out to Becky for the awesome job she does putting these videos together! Thank you!!

Hey neighbor! How’s the farming doing? And also Tractors are like a stop light, Green tractors go and red tractors don’t go anywhere 😂 have a good day
Like watching Goodworks videos as much as yours!
On the 3 point of the tractor you can run the hitch manually. When youre standing at the back of the tractor on the top right theres a rubber cap that pulls off and you push and turn the screw.

Braaaaaap !!! Put's a smile on my face .👍
With the 3pt. We have had a lot of issues with that on anything with exposed cylinder lifts. Out Deere mechanic said always store tractors with 3 point down. Haven’t had an issue if we do that
You may have a return valve on the rock shaft sticking in it's bore. Might also need an rockshaft adjustment procedure done.
Like your videos keep up the grind I love tractors to my favorites are John Deere
It’s a good thing you put the case in. A few more days outside it will be faded to pink.
The sound of that new pipe got my heart racing. Had to go to the shop and start my sled up.
How many are enjoying this nice rainy day? Good time to catch up on videos.
LOL yeah but i caught up the other day and I'm getting snow tonight possibly
Not rainy for me lol it’s cloudy and windy boy don’t ya just love hurricanes 😂
Texas? Well last night we had a heavy fog to were you couldn't even see down the street all you could see was lights it was like Halloween My friend who i called started to legit play sounds and she tried to scare me but couldn't
Called in the dogs and peed on the fire early today, it’s almost snow here. Just plan dam and raw outside.
Hi mate
Your Dad looks to be getting around better despite the weather, I hope Isla is still in good sprit!
Thanks. Really good video
feel free to film more snowmobiling! and look forward to seeing the snowmobile jump 😃
Heck you needa have a Sunday fun day!!!💯💯 With the boy and the toys!! And if the girls wanna go!!🤣🤣❤🚜👍👍🇺🇸
I would so like to come to your farm and try the amazing machinery, pretty sure its hard work, but looks so fun

Ahh i know that problem on our 6175R as well, we do have one implement that did the same to our 3 point hitch...so now we put that thing to our 6115M.

I’m sure that wedging the drag arms didn’t help, lol.
It’s the quick hitch! Mine does the same thing!
After I bought my HLA Snow Wing 4 years ago we haven’t had enough snow to use it. I know if I trade it we’ll get a big storm.
Awesome video as usual, thanks !!!!
that 3 point is sticking because the quick connect is keeping the bottom arms a set distance spread, near the pto there are "guides" to push the arms wider when the 3pt is lifted. it stabilizes implements so when you lift them to travel, they don't shift around.

Just subscribed last week and I’m binge watching all your previous shows. Love it. How many John Deere machines do you own.
Under the little cap by ur pro tase and lower u can set it up on how high to pick
I watch your video's to bring some sanity in my Day.....with all the mess in the News it is sobering to watch Farming on a large scale....
Very nice video, thank you.
Possible that the burner nozzles need to be drilled out. Possible that the small holes are built up with rust. Had to do this at our plant every several years. Take a look at flame 🔥 and make sure you have a nice blue flame.

All those tractors on tracks and the 9870 is the kid coming to school in new balance shoes. I think an S780 would be a perfect fit lol
In the 3 point settings there's an adjustment so it doesn't go all the way up. We have same problem with our case and it seems to help if we turn that setting down just a little bit
Like those odds and ends type of videos. Keep em comming :)
Love from South Africa🇿🇦

So bit like you
Use it a few times in mooiiist conditions then let it sit for 360 days
To validate my theory we bought a used tractor off a vineyard and they use exclusively 3pl implements

We got a little NH T4 for running a post rammer for fenceing

Snow mobile looks like a blast!!! Its burning up here in South Carolina!!
Your dad is awesome !!
First view from Panama! :)
May need to adjust the shims on the wear blocks that touch the sway cams. The quick coupler may be a bit narrow.
Great video thanks again
Nice upgrade on the Ranger! And on the XCR!
So we grew up farming. Planting, doing chores, bailing hay, chopping, picking corn, and waiting to take dad’s snowmobile out! And shooting some miscellaneous wild animals! Watching you and your son makes me reminisce about my childhood!
Love all your videos keep it up
You want cold we are sitting at 5 Fahrenheit for last couple days in Northern Ontario . Stay warm !!
Your quick hitch is pulling in the three point arms so yes change the spacing on the arms
Love the new Trumpet
More than likely on the 6175 the rock shaft got rusty from being up all summer and not using the 3pt I bet once the blower is on and you are constantly going up and down with the 3pt it will free up seen it a bunch on western truck and tractor repair channel and it happened to one of our tractors
