The 8RT gets to get a little sleep. Your most used machine gets to have a little rest. Good on it. While it gets to sleep a little you get this sweet new 8RX. Real cool watching this tractor! They are making a mod for it and other 2020 Deere machines for FS19! Can’t wait for em. Your map from mappers paradise I’m waiting for the most. Gonna be a good one
I would call that new tractor Seymour, as you both commented you can see more country on it while looking for the happy ending button! I remember when a umbrella and fender radio was high tech and the reason my right ear rings. Thanks to John Deere for letting you show off there new line, you both did a great job.
Awesome to see what John Deer as done with the new tractors and having tracks instead of tires. Nice to watch the different video's thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the video about the pipe laying with Randy knowing about how you drain the field to have a better field to have a better corn or bean crop. All this is a lot different way in the field. I like seeing what you do everyday on the farm.
That's one thing I like about farmers, one of many things. You guys all seem to be on the same team, trying to grow food trying to keep the crops from going under and trying to work together to make the best product you can. Other fields like Construction I can tell you for a fact , I can't get five people who were in my trade agree on the time of day, let alone work with each other for any great length of time, LOL !
Good observation ! And very true ! I had two wonderful neighbors bring there combines and trucks to help me beat the rain when harvest got way late last fall. My crop would have been ruined without there help.
Lots of big egos in the trades Management likes to divide. No wonder lots of cheaper labor has taken over in the past 30 years. Everyo 16" on center and keep the handle warm. Be safe and God Bless
So true! Describing it as all farmers seeming to be on the same team is perfect. I started hobby farming and am blown away by the support I receive from other farmers.
JD should be proud of your reviews. They are lucky to have a guy like you that uses the equipment for what its designed for and give opinions on it. Great video again.
I like how you share your equipment perks with the neighbors. It's great to see what they think as well as see their farms . Here in michigan we have planted all but 150 acres of wet areas. This spring we have planted 5200 acres between our land and custom work. Now it's hay season and cattle working and spraying time . Nice video stay safe and farm on my friends !
It is probably part of the deal with John Deere to give the machine as much demo exposure as possible. It sounds like a great deal for everyone involved. And we get to watch great videos of it.
Im new to the farming perspective. I have spent my whole life in Illinois and have like tractors and combines since i can remember. We don’t have a family farm sadly, but as I am now learning from your videos and getting to see how awesome your job is I really wish we still did. My great grandpa farmed up until the 70s or 80s raising crops cows pigs and chickens. Really wish we would’ve kept at least some part of his operation going. He is in his early 80’s now and still kickin. He originally had well over 2000-3000 acres of land (not all arable) back then, but over the years has sold it off and is down to 600 acres with most being woodland and the rest contracted to one of the big farm families in our area. Love your videos and im watching every one of them now. Love your operation and that deere is giving you the opportunity to show us whats new and helping you unilaterally. Keep up the content and keep bleeding green baby. #godeere
I'm happy your happy but I don't feel like I did much other than like and watch. I'm thankful your thankful too. This is by far my favorite channel. Best delivery and content or teaching ever!!!!!!!!
Absolutely fantastic video explaining tillage , and the reason for various requirements and options needed,... for all viewers , particularly in-experienced and non-farming people ,...great work Zac and thanks to John Deere too......awesome industry involvement from a major Agri company , we had similar experiences from John Deere Australia years ago with helping with product development .......well done to your family including your Dad !!! ...cheers from Aussie-land :)
Good stuff. Thanks for posting. I remember tee shirts back a few years ago used to have a phrase on it "Its not the size of your Deere but the size of your Johnson." Keep it clean. Always hope with water and soap.
I'm a John Deere tractor owner and recent subscriber. For +25 years, my daily commute to work passes by a Case IH dealership. Thanks to your videos, now as I pass by I'm constantly saying to myself "What the heck is that?!?!"
i wonder if anyone remembers John Deere back in the 1940's/ Oop's, yes I'm that old;) My grandpa had a beast of a John Deere for pulling power. The two cylinder engine was amazingly powerful for its day. The exhaust gave it a signature throaty sound. pop, pop, pop, pop, POP, pop, pop. pop, POP etc. I always heard John Deere tractor's called Popping Johnny's because of that unique sound. But Oh it could be a beast to start. On the left side of the engine was a large, heavy cast iron flywheel that was 24"-28" diameter as I recall. To start the engine you had to rotate that flywheel by hand until the piston came to the top of the compression stroke. Then brace your legs on the ground and pull hard across the top of the flywheel in a counter clockwise rotation. You had to do this again and again because it was not easy to get started. It would wear a man out just trying to start it. But once the engine was running with its popping sound, and you pushed the clutch stick forward. You were rewarded with some right satisfying pulling power. Those were great days for a kid growing up on a farm. Thanks Zach and family for rekindling fond memories from long ago.
Great video Zach! I like to see new and improved equipment. They have came a long way from the basic harrow and turn plow that we growled up using. Thanks again for sharing Zach!👍
It is a good job you have such large fields in your part of the USA that are relatively flat so that you are able to "exercise" such large equipment or indeed move it about easily from field! Here in the UK average arable field size is probably little more than 25 acres and nowadays hedge or tree removal is effectively banned for ecology reasons and any equipment wider than 8.5 ft needs special arrangements to made for each and every move on public roads.
it is really interesting to hear you two guys talking in the tractor. Figuring things out on the go and also comparing machines! thanks for letting us in on it!
I'm NOT a farmer. Why do I watch your videos? They're INTERESTING! Loved this video. (You might Shake Your Head, but I also watch Cole the Cornstar). Keep up the good work! Thanks, from NE Alabama. (We're all about cattle and hogs).
🤔 Did anyone else notice that Jake got on his knees, dug in the dirt with his hands and got them dirty, the millennial farmer just kicked a little dirt around with his foot! Have a good year, enjoy the time with your family because it can all change in a heartbeat. 👨🏻🦳
You guys are so amusing and funny together. This was a great vid by you fellas with the gear I'm jealous . I want John Deere. I want John Deere. I want John Deere....lol
With the kind of hospitality Midwest Machinery is giving you and if I lived in your area ( I live in SW Va ) I’d make them my JD Dealer just to support you!
Wow Kool! We never pulled any disc with our 4020 JD at 10.0 MPH! In the 1970’s. We would have had to be in 6th or 7th gear! Thinks have changed! Nice vid guys.
You're a GOOD Man Mr Johnson!
I cant WAIT...to run these machines in 20 years.
Exactly
I can’t wait to play his FS19 map when it drops
In 20 years all that electronic bullshit will be worthless and non functional.
@@Boomhauer333 It will all be run by a quantum computer then. Farmer will be in his office, waiting for the maintenance alarm to go off.
Cheers
In 20 years will be in the junkyard because you ain't you can't afford to fix the electronics
An American Framer and John Deere two things that you just can't beat. 👍👨🌾🗽
You have to be John Deere's number one salesman you are very articulate and well watched
Yep, John Deere's marketing department thought so too.
@Doc Savage massey is good buy a fendt instead of Deere.
Who says farmers don't know how to have a good time? You guys are machinery geeks for sure, ain't no better way to be. God Bless.
The 8RT gets to get a little sleep. Your most used machine gets to have a little rest. Good on it. While it gets to sleep a little you get this sweet new 8RX. Real cool watching this tractor! Highlight of my day when Millennial farmer uploads
Millennial farmer and Walker farms need to do more collaborations
Keep it going little brother! Proud of you and your Lady!

U and your family r wonderful I never miss a video you r the only one I follow that close
Great video. It was like a day out with the boys playing with fancy toys. Tillage Sam seems like a good guy to know.
Farming is moving into the future. Better equipment, better crops, more veggies, everyone wins! Great video on this.
And corn prices are still the same since 2000. We dont win
I agree those lakes are beautifull we really have nothing like that in Australia because of our floods and droughts.
I absolute love the demo equipment you get to use! I love the videos and learning so much! Tootles...
JD should be proud of your reviews. They are lucky to have a guy like you that uses the equipment for what its designed for and give opinions on it. Great video again.
New Deere equipment and technology is amazing. Nothing else out there like it. Thanks for helping us learn Zach.
Wow that was great using 2 type of tractors and disc's. Good video this city slicker learned a lot ...... thanks

Nice to see the difference in sizes of tractors, thanks to John Deere.
Nothing better to watch after cataract surgery then a couple of mean tractors tearing up some soil. Great video even watching with one eye today.
John Deere is knocking it out of the park with some very nice equipment. I can't wait to see what they bring to the table next!

Good stuff. Thanks for posting. I remember tee shirts back a few years ago used to have a phrase on it "Its not the size of your Deere but the size of your Johnson." Keep it clean. Always hope with water and soap.
Great comparison video for those curious of the differences on the tillage tools. We have some of those red "tractors" in my area too....
Thanks for your channel, I love the tractors, I wish I was a farmer.
