    I am kinda new to mini painting and painted my 5th figure ever (a Lord Imperant from the Stormcast Eternals, who has some feathers on his coat), and this was SOOOO super helpful. My result looked kinda different, because my mini is way smaller, and because I got no skill (yet ^^), but it looks amazing. And then I saw you got only 255 subs (well, now 256), I can't believe that. Will shout out your channel on my platforms, and thx so much for the tutorial. Another of the Teclis and Celennar (and beginner) painters looking for some guidance, this looks amazing. I was thinking of going for a more out there color scheme, like pink/purple, but I guess the technique might be applicable there too?

    • @MiniPainterMeg
      @MiniPainterMeg  2 года назад +1

      Glad you like it!
      This would absolutely work with other colours, if you stick with darker pinks and purples where I’ve used the dark browns and blacks, and lighter ones where I’ve used the lighter browns and creams I think it’ll look really affective.
      Go with whatever you think looks cool, that’s what it’s all about!

    • @pederbergenwall
      @pederbergenwall 2 года назад

      @@MiniPainterMeg Thanks for the input, I'll probably give that a try. Will have to see what colors would best complement each other, but I like the idea. I just saw the inside of the wing on your IG too, that's truly amazing work.

  • @pbodan6691
    @pbodan6691 3 года назад +1

    Amazing, if you use this scheme for all of Magnus I really want to see the completed model.
    Do you think you can use alternate color schemes with this pattern to make super natural looking wings?

    • @MiniPainterMeg
      @MiniPainterMeg  3 года назад +1

      Thank you very much! I’m trying a cooling magma effect for his body and I think it’ll look really good next to these wings.
      You absolutely could use other colours to create different looks. I think even a blue undercoat slowly building through purple and red to pink would look great as a fantasy style wing.

    The drybrush at the end didn't pick up the raised edges at all. It just evenly desaturated the whole model.
