Love the 388 movement. The better ones are very precise. The "cheaper/simple" ones are also O.K. I did all sorts of repairs recently and still have some disasters from ebay to work with. It's many models using the 388 module and they vary a lot.

This is cool. Knowing me though I'd still manage to hit the crystal on something. I've done that to many a G-Shock.

You can replace the leather band with a hirsch leather band. Also, I've noticed that you like the watches set to June, is it because of Casio's official photos?

I set to June 15th because it's the middle of month and date. I reset the watches before filming so it just gives enough film time. Not too long and not too short. However I do like your explanation better. I will look into the Hirsch bands. Thanks Travis.

What a interesting watch, and for only $35 looks like a bargain to me , is there any chance of a link for the auction site you used thanks and keep up the good work. all your video's are always so interesting.

I prefer to use Japamart.com as their costs are not as high as Jauce.com. but Jauce has an easier interface. So I use a combination of the two. Mercari Japan is also a good site but the bargains get snapped up in a heartbeat. Still has good deals though.

The most desired Casio watch in the flip top range that I want is the AI-1000. But so expensive on auction websites and it was never on sale as new here in South Africa when it was originally released. However, I did manage to find a NOS cheaper version of it, the FTP-30, which really feels cheap and resin clip it has does not feel all that strong. So I have reverted to G-Shocks and using a vintage DW-9900 Frogman as my daily beater now.

I was lucky enough to pick up an IA-1000 for a good price. However, I found that the keyboard is very delicate which renders it near useless. Quite disappointing as it has become a display piece 😕. I will get to reviewing it soon.

@@digitalcasio2704 I have never seen the AI-1000 reviewed on RUclips. The only place I ever saw it was on an Australian technical show we used to watch back in the early 1990s called "Beyond 2000". I am guessig it was discontinued due to being so delicate? Nevertheless, I am looking forward to your review on it. 😊

Only 35? This watch is listed at like 100 dollars now.

Yes. When I started collecting Casio watches were good value. But as more people get into collecting the prices shoot right up. You can still pickup bargains but they don't come up too often.
