- I talk about counting ALL the time... and I'm well aware of that :)
However, I'll be the first to admit that there are some times, particularly in a slow blues, where counting is pretty tough - if not impossible.
When that happens, your options become limited and you really have to focus on one littler part of the lick at a time... just one beat.
I'll show you how I approach these types of licks in the video.

Just learn the notes and play it…. You have to worry about all this malarkey give it up and call it a day
Judging from the lack of videos you've posted of your own playing I'll take it that approach is working well for you... great. For those that don't have a natural sense of rhythm or timing (which is at least half the people on the planet) your asinine suggestion doesn't help. So maybe try to come up with something useful next time instead of just bashing that which you just don't want to deal with.
If it's uncountable, you can't count it.
Just play it like SRV & bb king did. They felt it. Not read it.
Yet, they played remarkably in time, unlike most people who aren't them. How do you expect someone who doesn't have an innate sense of time or rhythm to improve and play what they hear in their head? Your solution doesn't work for most people, that's why they are here.
