cool lesson. it's good to view this as a start and then we can learn some stuff by experimenting by ourselves instead of just following tabs. definitely wanna see more of these!
ok,here's why I think its a good idea: 1. TEXAS FLOOD blew my mind the first time I heard it, my first SRV too. Years later it still gives me thrills. 2. You can get free tabs on net if you look hard enuff but it doesn't help much, its been so long since I last sat down and learned the whole songs. I'm a programmer who still wants to continue playing whenever 3. More hows and whys on what makes TF ticks, Very cool!
I'd say it's more of a 3,000 foot view... Got the lessons and they're teaching me new licks and chord techniques within the song guide info for Texas Flood. Super Cool. Thanks!
Anthony, your new concept of offering $10 lessons is a great idea and I'd like to add that you are a great teacher. Thanks for sharing your talents to those of us that have always wanted to learn how to play some of our fav blues artists
Amazing idea anthony, got to tell you that i'm a weekly follower of all your videos here from Spain! , you're expanding through the globe!! Thanks for all of them!!
I found this very useful but let me say I play bass reasonably well but I'm not musically gifted and also I have bad hearing and I've always been more or less Don deaf. so my problem is identifying the chord structure on which to play bass. often do not have the ability to learn and remember what is played on a record, but if I know the structure I usually play an interesting bass that fits and this is for jam sessions and open stages. I'm not in a gigging band. I was very confused by the introduction and the turnaround and when I looked at ultimate Guitar etc. I ended up more confused but you laid it out in such a clear manner. thanks very much
This is an awesome idea. I'd much rather learn the 'song guide'- enabling me to do my own improvisations instead of learning a note-for-note solo. Just my .02
YES EXACTLY! learning a song note-for-note is so boring once you understand guitar. You've hmgot to make it you're own! If you love a song enough to connect to it and understand and fell the emotions that the artist does, then you've gotta tell YOUR story. Its great. I love it. I'm happy now.
you probably dont give a shit but does someone know a tool to log back into an instagram account?? I was stupid forgot the login password. I appreciate any tips you can give me
great lesson structure i like the idea of this it helps me out alot to know the premise of the song im fairly new and my ear does not hear everything going on nor do i know alot of the basic music theory yet great vid!
Hey Anthony! This is really one your best ideas IMO! I really like to learn what I play and why I play it. I think this will drastically improve my blues guitar playing! Keep it up! Another thing that I would really like to see is an advanced blues rhythm guitar course! Thanks!
Good lesson in depth of real 12 bar with notj ust minor pentatonic scales that was some of srv ways to copy albert and add his own flooding of the fender
The biggest challenge I have with this lead playing is hearing the chord transitions in playing. It sounds mostly like G. Its hard to pick out when it goes to C. It really just sounds arbitrary. The D turnaround is clear though. When he starts the singing it really sounds like just playing G then simple transition to C quickly then the turnaround.
Most guitar players don't read music anyway. no need to for the most part on guitar as opposed to an instrument like piano. SRV definitely played what he felt though better than just about anyone. Phenomenal player!
Hi Anthony, I’m watching this video today and I’m interested in purchasing the course but I’m unable to find it on your website. Is it no longer available? I. Just noticed this video is an older one so I’m just checking to see if the offer is still good, let me know please
i think its a great idea with the whole lesson costing ten bucks ,,, maybe i need to make my first purchase from you and get the box series full lesson.?
Cool stuff! I’m not familiar with your program. I learned the traditional way, back in the 80s. But still always learning. Anything newer, like the CAGE method, or the system you have created, just seems confusing-to me. But I can kind of see where people just learning theory would find this helpful, or maybe more of a shortcut? Which is totally fine. Man, I only got through a couple years of theory myself. I just wanted to get out there and play more, so I dropped out of music school pretty early on. Anyway, I was wondering why your box three and five, in particular, looks so different from the traditional box scales. Are you just doing a different pattern, maybe based on your method, or maybe I will have to watch a little more closely. Thank you. A lot of great stuff. Great tone! 👍🏻🎸
Texas Blues Alley What do you think of the Zexcoils? We had Scott on our radio show a while back and was really impressed with those pickups. Got that single coil sound and super quiet. What are your thoughts?
Please I need to learn a live not studio version of "life without you" I know begging is humiliating but I don't care I'm willing to if need be please help me!!!
Check out my Love Again soloing lessons, much of that soloing was taken from live recordings of Life Without You: texasbluesalley.com/woodshed/full/love-again
Yes its the best way but its not for beginning guitar players it takes time to get your head around the way to play on your own by sound its little shapes of fingers strength in fingers and right hand left hand brain together function I enjoy watching for tips and gave up years ago being perfect note for note I beat myself up to much and do it 85 percent these days no body knows and who cares anyway
cool lesson. it's good to view this as a start and then we can learn some stuff by experimenting by ourselves instead of just following tabs. definitely wanna see more of these!
Great idea. I have bought the course and am working my way through....already have picked up some very useful ideas and concepts. Thanks!

Very useful. More please.this way is much better than note for note
This is an awsome idea, the why and the how of playing a song is what's been missing . Great job.

Low on cash right now but will buy the minicourse soon!
MusicVerzamelaar play pink panther on an urban street corner with guitar case open to earn them funds
great sound
What's even funnier is Stevie ray couldn't read and write music,he just played, all this technical stuff he didn't know he would just play what he felt
That is really crazy.

I'll never get that 2:45 back at the beginning.
The course includes 5 minutes of free time so it more than evens out.
You’ll never get the time back you spent trolling
Brillant
Thanks Henry.
Guys Carl brown will give you a lesson on an entire song note for note.
Less talk more work man
I would love to find a tutorial where the guitar is in tune ,not 1/2 low.
I'm not trying to be SRV I just want to play a song made popular by the man.
Why do you have to talk so much????
