This song is infectious and jubilant. I hear this song and immediately feel it, as if I had been hearing it all of my life. Masterful playing, soul, and key changes. Everybody getting down! We lift our hands indeed. Hats off to you, Mr Stone!

I always noticed how Freddie's voice RANG out so soulfully in Sly Stones group! This is good to see. I often wondered what happenned to him. Wow, Pastoring his own church...and still playing and singing. Thanks for this upload. He always had a soulful feel when he had a lead singing part in the group!! AND there's Vet Stone too...yes from Little Sister!!! (I'm The One!) I always knew they had "gospel" in them, very evident.

Oh Yes, they get DOWN at this church! Great music, great insight into Sly. The shot from the back of the sanctuary with the woman in the white suit grooving is stunning. Wonderful.

I think the song is by Freddie Stone and the movie is by Greg Zola. It's called small 'talk about sly' and they haven't taken it to festival yet - i messaged the filmmaker.

In Monroe,La. at the Carroll High School Stadium in 1987..I got the chance to meet Freddie and talk at length about the whole SLY AND THE FAMILY STONE era. I found Freddie to be very grounded in his faith and beliefs. I could not help asking about Sly and his well being too. If its one thing the world of music and our sense of justice should understand is,in my opinion, is there needs to be brought together the highest legal minds to bring about justice for this band.Nowhere in America should we allow these talented people to close their eyes in this world without recieving what is due them for their hard work and talent. To have nearly all of their awards, financially in particular, fraudulently conived out of them is unconsciously unfair.Just because a man is sick or drunk gives nobody a license to go thru his pockets at his most vulnerable state. We should rectify this before they leave this Earth....where are all the great legal minds? I might add....if I were a judge presiding over this case...i would be raking down from the shelf..and throwing every "Book" at the party responsible...

Sly Should Have Followed His Brother Away From Drugs And Etc. He Looks Good, I Wonder Did Sly Give Them Any Of The Royalty Money He Received? Sad, But Broken Family Unit I Suspect.
