I’ve had horses most of my life and thought I’d leave that behind when we moved to Mexico. I was literally just thinking what it might cost or be like so I googled “horses/Mexico” and your video came up! This answered all of my questions. Kismet! Thanks😊
Incredibly helpful video. I am moving to Puerto Vallarta and was considering taking my horse but now maybe not. I pay a fortune and am now amazed. OMG!
Hola Amigos 👋👋 I could absolutely see that we live just down the street from a farm They ride past our house daily heading to the beach 🌊🏖 Thanks for sharing your time with us 2 Canadians living on the Gulf of Mexico Yucatan Peninsula sending support to the world 🙏♥️😍 Cheers J&D ✌️👫🐶
If there's nowhere to perform dressage with a trusty steed in the La Paz area I'm afraid I shan't by participating in any equestrian activities unfortunately.
@@davebaker489 I'm assuming the bulls attack divers as potential rivals or something. Or they could see us as potential mates and that might be worse...
@El Ciclista - You might be bigger than me, but I don't think you're much of a potential rival for a sea lion bull. And unless your synchronized swimming is much better than I'm imagining, I don't think you have a lot of risk in the potential mate department. I say you jump in now... actually, wait until I'm there to film it!
@@AlmostRetiredinMexico Wow. Where can a single woman, 61 yo find a safe place though - 3 horses, 2 dogs, 12 chickens. Do you know what are safer places though? I wonder if I can bring my container plantsl. Wow. Thank you for answering so quick.
@@fifthavenuegirl A safe place for a single woman with 3 horses and 2 dogs shouldn't be hard to find. Chickens and plants might be harder to get across the border. Check out the Facebook Group Expats in Mexico to start. Then when you've found some places that might be of interest, join the local facebook group for expats in that town and start asking questions. There are a lot of single women moving to Mexico!
With the high gas prices nowadays the idea of switching to riding a horse has crossed my mind before. Why can't we just go back to the old fashioned way of transportation? Haha 😆
@@AlmostRetiredinMexico thank you so much. You have given so much great info on Baja. Sorry we missed you. We were in Loreto on June 19 at the restaurant where the sole guitarist was playing. No doubt same time! Funny.
Hmmmmmm. So you are saying I shouldn't tell Kat about the horses ? LOL That may cost you a Margarita or 2. PS as Pam is going to Tee Oh . (For you Newbies that's Toronto) and a major hub for the Canadian airlines. I priced out 2 tickets round trip to SJC almost 3 grand Canadian funds in AUGUST ! That is hardly a peek time. I may need to hitch hike or save a cowboy and ride a horse . Keep m coming . P n D
3 Grand Canadian is like $200 American, right? You Canadians and your "dollars." Kidding aside, that's crazy expensive. I got a flight from Milwaukee to Puerto Vallarta for $200USD in July. If Kat get's a horse, she can ride alongside Pam and her horse...
I love horses 🐴
That’s a beautiful horse and I’m so happy you found a place to own and ride them.
Yes - these guys are living their best lives!

Perfect! I love it when my videos show up in Google searches! Have fun with your horse in Mexico :-)
Really interesting video and beautiful horses.
Many thanks Lindylee!
Ever thought on having a horse by my own, but sounds incredible
Personally, I'd rather borrow a horse once every 10 years for a ride, but it would be cool to own one ;-)
Great vid
Thank you!
Thank you. I've been looking for exactly this. I just might do it.
Wonderful! Glad we could help / inspire you ;-)

Cool video! I love horses and it's great to see them so happy and well cared for. Thanks Brighton! 🤠🐴☮️❤️😎🤠
Glad to share Pammy! Any horse in your future?
Actually, not wanting to troll, they have given answers to questions I've had about moving my horses down there and seem to be great resources.

I love just seeing horses. There were a couple living in a vacant lot next to our house. Do the farmers sell horseback rides on the beach?
@@AlmostRetiredinMexico not sure friend but a great idea n information I should find out
Anything can be bought for a price lol

The good news is that you can still perform your synchronized swimming routine at the aquatic center...
@@AlmostRetiredinMexico lol, I will try that in the Sea of Cortez with the sea lions. When they aren't mating, though...

How much do the horse cost?
$1000 is a good average. Some more, some less.
Can you own property - horse property in Mexico? I will not leave my pets here in Nor Cal..
Yes - it's probably easier on the mainland than in the Baja peninsula, but it's definitely possible

Hi, I’m also thinking about buy a horse in Mexico and then transport to California, is there any websites that I can look at for horse info? Thank you
Would love to get in touch with Bev and or Rebecca. Is there a way I can do this privately?
Yes, on Facebook: facebook.com/bevfcf
