Sam, I get just how you feel, and PLEASE be assured that we DO appreciate the effort it takes to make a YT video. I've done a couple myself, and it's not a 5 minute job, the content you make must take a whole day, and the editing alone must be a couple of evenings. And then to get just 5 views must be VERY frustrating to say the least. Your genuine subscribers are always behind you, and it's always a pleasure to describe you as "My mate Sam".

I’m trying everything possible but the main problem now seems to be that when one idiot refuses to handle your problem at support, they make a note and then each person reads the note and refuses to help! They say, I see it’s being handled by my colleague and so I can’t interfere!!! The problem is that nobody is handling it!!!

@@SamsRussianAdventures Went through a similar situation with Ebay (also google owned), I know it might seem hard to believe but they really are that incompetent and foolish, impossible to communicate or work with, and outright hostile to the people who make them money (and I'm not based in Russia). I ended up deleting my entire ebay account and moved to a different platform. Instant relief and a huge source of stress and frustration fell off my shoulders the second I deleted my account. Stop spending energy and time on Google. Move on, start afresh -you will be glad you did

I worked in Google many years, I know what you are talking about , you have tow choices find a RUclips agency in UK and they will be able to link your RUclips account but they take a big commission, the other option is to create a new RUclips channel and inform your subscribers , when you will create it use a British VPN and a cell phone also from England , the same thing for the Adsense account , never get access directly from Russia use always a VPM a UK phone numbers. To make a point Adsense never paid me 100K Euros without explanation
The agencies require me to have Adsense connected!!! They take a commission from my earnings!!!

You might be able to temporarily fund yourself with the holidays approaching just an idea. Your problem sounds like every conversation I've had with customer service here in America. Meanwhile, every customer service rep I've talked to on the phone in Russia has had a smile on their face and has been beyond helpful, despite a language barrier!

I really hate customer services! In the Uk we have an internet provider who also provides terrible service. But guess what? Three days after me uploading my video, both my channels were monetised!!!! So funny!

Like number 500. Very informative video, i had no real idea how it worked. I am frustrated that you are frustrated. YT is slow and daft, the new account thing will eventually come through for you. (I was baffled at the high commission thing)
My account was non-monetised and ticked for ‘no adverts’ from day 1, hour 1, click 1.
So i understand about it not being in YT’s interest to promote any content or work with no advertisement ingress. I had not heard about the wallet thing, i had heard the term Ad-Sense.
You have a great channel Sam, you do great work and are coming from a good place.

It is against the law for a country to issue sanctions against another. Fact. It is against international law.
If you are monetised then you will get the traffic but what I’ve also noticed is that once monetisation is taken away, it’s difficult for the algorithm to find the channel again! RUclips likes things in the correct order! When my 2nd channel was brand new and had no monetisation, I still got lots of views because youtube wanted to get my channel to the monetisation stage! But once I disconnected Adsense to try to connect to the UK, the traffic dropped immediately.

Hi Sam, I know the problem with this but Google is a US entities company and state department and HMT zero in on anything that increase tax collection in Russia, there are a number of ways to increase the exposure.

I've also seen people totally remove their old channels, reupload videos one by one to new ones (with new wallet creds) and hitting monetization fairly quickly (supposedly). Examples: askrus/rusask

The thumbnail is an old photo. The editing site needs a vpn because it’s blocked in Russia and the vpn wasn’t working. I was going to use that photo for an older video and so I had it on my computer
Try changing your name or ask your brother to open a google wallet and have him collect the earnings
The problem is that they already have businesses and my youtube earnings may take them into a higher tax bracket. That's why I opened a company, so that I could connect it to the company instead of me, but they still refused it!

A lot if accounts demonetized because less ad revenue so for google to maintain profits its simple they take yours. You arent the only content creator that is complaining about this.
But at the same time there are many channels who are not affected by this and continue to get many views.

We left a comment but then deleted it. We think you already analyzed the situation. Most of foreign companies cut off the business with Russia. This is also the main reason why you won’t get any revenue from the Russian audience.
But there are some channels which get lots of views and make lots of money, yet I am the only foreigner who actually interacts with strangers on my videos.
@@SamsRussianAdventures If you really watched other channels, they do interview contents with one topic, but not only one question. That way, you can get more interesting answers instead of a simple response.
For example, when you asked a secret in Russian farmer market. You can ask them about the proportion of pickling ingredients. That will be a more interesting answer for us.

I am hearing the authorities there are upping pressure on foreign nationalized Russians to report to the conscription centers..you have a pulse and they are paying good money there!
