Your comment that you were near the motorway that Links Moscow with Pekin brings to mind the question; How long would it take to make that drive? And that adventure might be a view magnet.
As a general rule of thumb - long distance driving in Russia goes at about a rate of 1000 kilometers per day, if you're not trying to break any records (which you won't be able to anyway). It'll take you about 3-4 days to drive to Omsk, but from there you're going to have to go into Kazakhstan. I've never been there, so I couldn't tell you how road tripping works in those parts.

Sam just be yourself don't worry to much about explaining yourself all the time. I have learnt as I got older there isn't much point and who do you need to explain yourself to anyway. Do your thing people will like it and enjoy. Thanks for the efforts
Good tour Sam. Lower income area, still nice pleasant people .Unlike many in usa low income areas ,people crushed and broken , desperate, destroyed by a society in collapse. Government by rich for richest.
So the lady who got mad for recording… it reminds me of how some people respond to the “1A Auditors” here in the US. Obviously, the auditors are generally looking for an explosive reaction from people they’re filming because that’s what gets views. Sam is obviously recording in good faith unlike most 1A auditors lol
Sam's channel is gaining traction.

Good luck in your exploration.
People are just people.
You are good to them - they are good to you. (But some may dislike feeling a zebra in the zoo to expose).
It is a bit shabby but unlike in the US it is safe.
All areas are different
Most neighborhoods I know I. My area in the US even the not so pretty ones are safe
Maybe a new name for you is "randomly roaming russia"? x Anyone can do the usual stuff where you keep it real, says a lot about your character. Nice one.
Thanks. I do my best to show what it’s like here and that is a really good channel name.
@@SamsRussianAdventures Thank you,im full of random stuff i used to be a song writer. I have an ariel which is connected to a creative info station somewhere. It also detects BS in a millisecond lol.
it's amazing how many Lada's (Cars) there are still in use in Russia, I guess parts and spares are still available and it's cheap to fix them eh Sam?
Why be surprised -they still make Lada cars there. A rather stupid statement .If you had said that about that about seeing Lada cars in England you might have made more sense.
Sam ? have you ever on your travels ever come across an old russian Zill car would be interesting to see one. take us all on a tour of russian vintage car museum.
Hi Sam, another good video! Couldn't read anything, as I am studying Japanese. If you want views get some lawn equipment. Film cleaning up abandoned lots or walkways, they get lots of views. Equipment is cheap this time of year, be ready for spring! 😹 You could start with your own house! Thanks for the video 😸
Damn that woman in the thumbnail is gorgeous
Yes! I only realised afterwards, sometimes I’m so focused on filming.

You don’t really see homeless people in Russia that I can recall. Alcoholics turn up here and there, but they’re harmless and have the sense to go home when the buzz wears off!

Russians drink much less now than in Soviet times. Capitalism leaves no time for leisure, everyone working hard to pay off mortgages, loans, credit card debts. The reason why men live less than women is 1)stress 2)smoking / overworking/ unhealthy diet no sports 3)drinking 4) cavalier attitude to regular medical checkups
Usually the first to phone the police has the advantage.
I love Russia because of your videos and hope to go there some day.
the only forbidden thing in Russia (while you deal with Russian women) is asking about their actual age... however you may avoid any conflicts with a simple question: "Are you eligible to by an Alcohol in local Liquor store?" and If she says "Yes!", that means either you just have got a companion for this evening OR you will never see this person again with your money... anyway, you have effectively skipped the potential conflict situation.
You ask for their VK account and most of the time their age is there.
@@peterwilliams2152 most of the time their age is fake LOL
@@megaotstoy That's not my experience, but my daughter's former in-laws are always trying to line me up with their widowed relatives and friends.

Russia is a trip. Been there numerous times and miss it. The areas you are strolling through are just typical Russian neighborhoods.
some people fear camera more than a gun, they care more about privacy in public places.
I didn’t even film her though!!!
Hi mate, what kind of camera do you use?
This is on the GoPro 12
In the USA, we also have nutters who tell us we can't film in public. Actually, it's legal to film in public, and you are not obliged to ask anyone for their permission - including the police. If you don't want to be filmed, don't do anything in public you wouldn't want to see on RUclips the next day.
The architecture is very random, it looks like everyone just designed their own house. I noticed bars on the lower floor of the apartments, is there a lot of burglary there?
Over the past 20 years they have decreased very much, there is no point in stealing equipment that is cheap. And almost everyone keeps money on cards.
Eject button!😂😂❤lol poor kid
Sam I love these kind of videos that you just walk around filming things. How much would it cost to buy that big house @20:06??
For me, that's the fun of RUclips. Just make videos that you enjoy. You have more fun making it
I noticed a lot of old car in Vladimir. I live in Yaroslavl and here’s a problem to find so many old cars
Yeah. If I don't make a video about Russia. Nobody watches it 😂😂
I don’t think the area is bad l, it has character. I grew up around cookie cutter subdivisions, which I really do not like. 🇺🇸
Yes! Cookie cutter housing is what I was used to also.
I like seeing all areas of a country. Even these areas may not look so modern. Is grear to see how Russia has progress, as a country. If you're looking for ideas for your next video. How about visiting Kasan for the BRICS meeting. I would find that interesting. On a side note, it is good to know that there are Karen's all over the world, even in Russia, 😂.
Love the videos. Keep it up
Glad you like them! Thanks mate.
It's not very common at all for anyone to just walk around, shooting some VLOG video in a village or suburbs in russia. In Moscow or St. petersburg no problem, but here I personally would not do it.
This is very much like Bulgaria as in random shit dumped all over the place!! lol
I guess they have the same post communist mentality
@@SamsRussianAdventures Nail on the head!!!! It beats me mate how they NeVER think of sending cars, tractors and on to the scrapper and make money??!! I'm dam sure there is a business there to be had tho doing it here in BG would mean a knock on your door by the goons asking if you need "protection" as they quite litrerally run municipals. Most Expats don't really see it until they try to open a business or who know peeps in the business world here.
This video shows how there is more freedom in Russia than in usnatostan.
Ask me why...

Like your videos, never was in Russia.
Sam, I m really having bad mood, visited Vladimir and havent meet you. It was awesome weather, and book fair just next to main cathedral. I will visit Vladimir again, for sure. Because I want to show it to my parents, brothers and sisters. I mean, not standard Russian neighbourhood you show in this video, as we see it a lot next to Moscow. 😂 And this is what I dont like and I will be criticising always. This is called not in good owner's hands. I lived in apartment next to central recreation park of Vladimir, where is mini football club, and the yard for kids between buildings looks disastrous, like pictures from abandoned Chernobyl towns.
So you say Russia has Karen’s too?
They are KGB Karen’s!
Can't believe how ugly everything is. People just throw their garbage everywhere. I don't believe I've ever seen such disarray in the United States unless it's in a broken down area of a major city. I could never ever live in a place like that. No pride for sure in that neighborhood.
If you watch youtube, you can find abandoned America videos 😂. And I do hope these areas will be turned into nice comfy place, both in Russia and the USA.
Well, then you should check out Los Angeles or San Francisco you'll be very impressed how ugly it's now, you don't get out much, do you😅
This will soon change. Homelessness exists...that's true.
