H/H match trivia: Today was Nipsey's seventh attempt at the H/H match, but unfortunately he has yet to match a contestant. (Although I think he gave the very best possible answer to "________ POT".) And no, that's not a record. Richard's first match came in episode 58, on his *ninth* try!

Richard Deacon’s wiki bio says he was a “closeted gay actor”. But based on his outfits this week, I don’t think he was trying too hard to hide it! I love him: he died in 1984 only 62 years old (heart disease).
He was an actor from the 50's thru the 70's. I didn't know her was gay. Not that I needed to but it would've been nice to have some positive Gay role models. I'm glad that Charles was so visible and lived his best life. Brett was a supporter although I was too young to understand it. Loved seeing Richard doing his Paul Lynde impressions. This show was a leader in inclusion only for LGBT community but also for women and people of color.

Max Factor was an interesting man. A rags-to-riches story of a nearly penniless immigrant who built a make-up empire which was a powerful force in early Hollywood, and virtually all major movie actresses were regular customers of the Max Factor beauty salon, then located near Hollywood Boulevard. Although he passed away in 1938, his company remained family held until its sale in 1973 for half a billion dollars (1973 dollars). I imagine that sale generated a lot of news at the time, and so the name was top of mind to the studio audience polled for this question in 1974. A couple of times I've visited the Hollywood Museum located in the historic Max Factor Building on 1660 N Highland Ave in Hollywood. Among the exhibits are the original four makeup rooms Max Factor used - one for redheads (he worked with Lucille Ball, for example), one for blondes, one for brownettes, and one for brunettes.

SKULL, has a totally new meaning today. Lol
I don't know about that. I think we can hear Richard Deacon having a chuckle at Gunilla's remark, as if he understood something else by it.

The Swedish word is actually "skål", but never mind......
Thunder bolt? That would be "storm". A bolt is lightning!

Lovely Gunilla Hutton.. long time lover of Nat 'King' Cole. (Interesting story).. Lucky guy.
I am sure she was "Unforgettable". 😉
Before Natalie Cole passed away, she and Gunilla made amends for those indiscretions from the past with her legendary father!!!
