    A couple things on the 24D: The ends on both sides of the dinette flip up so you can use them to elongate the seating and stretch out much like a recliner. The table swivels around for easier access to the under storage and seating. You don’t have to remove the cushions in order to lower the Murphy bed; they are designed to stay in place. Also they didn’t have the cushions or mattress buckled in with the straps; this aids in keeping everything in place when the bed is lowered and raised. There is a lot of storage under the couch. The cabinets/pull out drawers next to the refrigerator is considered a pantry because of the bathroom having a designated wardrobe. There is a storage cabinet behind the TV and a place for paper towels to hang. I agree about the bathroom/shower size, but the awesome spacious counter and double sink in the galley was more important to us (personal preference). Good video and overview, just wanted to help out a bit with a couple additional details.

      The reason we try not to preview the units is that we like to keep our first impressions as real as possible. We do try to find out as much information as possible beforehand, but we have found that even the salespeople at the shows aren't always familiar with the individual units. We do appreciate it when viewers add things in the comments that we missed.

      @@halffasttravelers2702 I totally understand; first impressions are definitely important for your viewers. I hope my additional information above didn't come off as arrogant as I just wished to inform others watching some more details on this floorplan. Happy Travels!

    FYI the seat are recliners. Saw this unit at Hersey Show. It also has tables that attach to the seats. It is amazing. You can use the bed with the slide in.

      That’s really good to know, we didn’t even notice that at the show! We had a feeling there was a recline option, we just couldn't find it. Thank you for pointing that out.

    We bought a Thor Delano FB this week. We liked the View D but we really wanted over the cab big skylight. We do have circle sink as a trade off. Delano has amazing CCC on the new 2025 chassis. So much storage in all these Class b+ floor plans. We definitely checked our slide caulking. Sorry y’all had water damage.

      So happy you like your Thor, and we wish you great success with it. We too are big fans of the over-cab window. It brings in so much light, and we wish it was available in our Wayfarer. Thanks for the kind words and support.

      Many of the Mercedes dealers will not work on the larger RVs due to the amount of space they take up on the lot. They also have space limitations in the bays. We are due to take it in next month, and we will let you know if we run into problems.

    Why don’t they start using the 4500 sprinter chassis? Thor has it so one would think Winnebago would as well as Tiffin?

    • @halffasttravelers2702
      @halffasttravelers2702  17 дней назад

      The tow capacity on the 4500 is actually less than the 3500 and that might have something to do with it.

      @halffasttravelers2702  Месяц назад +2

      Yes, thank you @turnbulls travels735, we too believe that the OCCC is a big concern for these models. We personally would not buy a unit with a cargo capacity less than 1000 pounds. In our opinion, 692 pounds of cargo capacity is ridiculous and unsafe.

    Do you know the difference between Navion and View?

    • @halffasttravelers2702
      @halffasttravelers2702  Месяц назад

      We didn't have the Navion at the show to do a side by side comparison, but we think there are some design and styling differences between the units. Looking at the Winnebago website, they do seem to be very similar on paper. We will keep an eye out for a 2025 Navion so we can do an actual comparison. Thanks.

    The CCC is too low. If four adults ride in this RV, weighing 200 pounds each person and carrying fresh water and belongings, it will exceed the CCC.
    200 x 4 + water is almost the CCC.

    • @halffasttravelers2702
      @halffasttravelers2702  2 месяца назад +3

      We were shocked when we saw the OCCC on these models. In our opinion, this makes the 24T unusable for us and many others. Exceeding the OCCC and GVWR is like rolling the dice. Eventually it's going to end badly. We did a video on Cargo Capacity and we wish the manufacturers and dealers would make these numbers more easily available to the buyers.

      We have done videos of all three, but we can certainly do a comparison. We should be able to find all three at one of the shows we're going to be attending in the next few months. If so, we will compare similar floor plans to be fair. Thanks for the input.

    My wife and I have been looking at the various Class C’s out there. I like the 24D a bit more in terms of layout plus having the overhead bunk is a plus. I prefer the dinette to what they have in the 24T. Are these units rear wheel drive or all wheel drive ? I will have to go to the Winnebago site for specs to compare to others we have looked at along the way.

    • @halffasttravelers2702
      @halffasttravelers2702  2 месяца назад

      Thanks for the question, it looks like they are only available in rear wheel drive at this time. On a side note, we did have 4WD in our Patriot Class B, and in all our adventures out west we only switched to 4x4 once. We do wish it had a full time AWD instead to improve handling on the road, but it didn't become available in that model until the year after ours. Good luck in your search.

      @@halffasttravelers2702 Thank you. I agree with you on the 4x4. It would be nice to have not so much for off-roading ,but for handling. I have been looking more at units without propane if possible. I want something that will sleep at least three people and have room for two dogs. What are your thoughts on the Dynamax Class 3 ‘s ?

    A big hint of a compressor fridge, it doesn't have the metal fins going across the top shelf inside the fridge. Go look at any rv absorption fridge, you'll see what i mean and you'll never question what kind of fridge it is at a glance.
    Winnebago used to mean quality, now imo it rides on its coattails of what it used to be. I used to love them, but no way i would want one today as they r just like Tiffin now, used to be quality. Paying for a name that no longer holds true of quality build. 🍻

    • @halffasttravelers2702
      @halffasttravelers2702  2 месяца назад

      Interesting, we'll have to keep that in mind when we check out the fridges in these new units. We have heard this a lot, and we are wondering if it is a Winnebago issue or is it a problem across the industry with implementing new designs and technology? Hmmm.

    • @SpykersB
      @SpykersB 2 месяца назад +1

      @ I'm not sure what exactly u mean but i dont think neither design nor technology has anything to do with it. Change a floor plan but still put it together sloppy. They still build the same roofs. I'm not talking about the appliances, the stereo's etc that kind of tech, nor about the tech in vehicles today, they have nothing to do with the biggest problems, the build of the rv box n of the slide mechanisms, same ones they have been using for years, n the materials they r using. Bad plumbing practices but refusing to use proper connectors and so on. For instance u never saw massive slides before, but u do now, with the same mechanisms. Build it faster, bigger n cheaper is the problem, and nobody overseeing the worker bees skillset, thus sloppy work. Stapled to death I say! Right now so many of these big mass produced manufactures are all producing sloppy products. Like another example notice the CCC on those u just reviewed, y so low huh? How long until u see chassis problems cause how can u not overload with food, clothes, camping gear, water, propane n humans? Build on the minimal chassis, again cheaping out. Remember that class B u reviewed with the crooked drawers? Believe it was a winni too? It's so sad. 🍻

    • @halffasttravelers2702
      @halffasttravelers2702  2 месяца назад +2

      I guess we should have phrased that differently. It seems like they are always trying to tweak building techniques and materials to make them easier to install and more lightweight. Not to mention, cheaper (for them). We wonder why they don't just stick to methods they used in the past to produce higher quality builds. But then we remember that they are in business to make money and grow the company. It just feels like sometimes they forget that the best way to be successful is to give the customers what they want with as few hassles as possible. The OCCC on the 24T is unforgivable. What were they thinking? Thanks for posting your thoughts. We always appreciate your viewpoint.
