Yes , very nice touch with the note and business card, but, i would right on the note a couple word about the guy who made it in the first place - Henry Likely form Rochester 1846 - 1925.
I am so impressed with everything you do but this one just blew me away. Absolutely beautiful. I NEVER get tired of watching you work. If that case could talk imagine stories it could tell.
Those are working man's hands. Never apologize for them. You work hard at an honest living and you're very talented to boot. The only problem with your hands being like that, is they can be very painful for you, making it hard to handle your job. Aside from that, those are gorgeous hands providing for your family.
What a cool youch leaving a note and business card. Imagine 100 years from now, another skilled craftsman like yourself opens it and finds it. I bet that would make his day, Like when you were looking for an old newspaper. A true living time capsule.
Once again you hit this one out of the ballpark Steve. You are always amazing. That time capsule idea is very fitting. Congratulations on a job well done.
Wow! The bag is amazing! As a historian I love your “time capsule.” Thank you for your message about making the day great. It meant something. ❤️ Lastly, I think you honored your Father so creatively with that tattoo. He is always with you. 👍👜
I really hope the man you restored the bag for has someone in his family to pass the bag down to that will appreciate the bag, it's history and your remarkable restoration. It's strange to me that in my family there are people that value and cherish things from my relatives and ancestors and others for whom nothing has sentimental value at all. It's my hope that the bags owner will pick wisely who the bag belongs to next. The history of the doctor that originally owned it and the bag itself need to accompany the bag on it's journey into the future. A copy of the restoration video would be nice too!
Agree with you it's sad how some don't appreciate history so many have the mindset just to throw it away and buy new if needed. I to see this with close family members and it's depressing to think of the things that were possibly given to goodwill or tossed in trash
I actually jumped in my chair when you were stitching in the basement and ran over the edge, but you fixed it up beautifully. When I was training, the old guys used to say You're gonna make some mistakes, but the gauge of a craftsman is how well he can fix his mistakes- or something to that effect Great job Mr. Bedo
As an old school mechanic, I can really appreciate the craftsmanship you put into every job. Keep up the good work, there are fewer of us left everyday.
I didn’t wanted to see this video I don’t know why I just hit next but am glad I saw this cause it was wonderful the idea of getting your dads remembrance in that tattoo and also the paper of your reference a Time Capsule nice 👍…. GOD BLESS YOU !!!
Thanks for the words of encouragement. I was feeling down because my 36 year old son passed away, he had health issues so it was a shock but not a surprise. But today is the day I need to hold it together and make phone calls. Not looking for comments just saying I am happy I watched your video. I will just get through this day
Just a beautiful, beautiful job Steve! That hand-stitching...I bet it gave your fingers a good workout. Keep it coming Steve and thanks for the encouraging words.
Your such a gem and remind me of my grandfathers craft as a mills man making beautiful wood pieces. Quality that lasts lifetimes. Keep up the wonderful work! You bring people happiness. Thank you Bedo!
Hey brother Steve !! Long time my friend. I love that you put a letter and your card in that beautiful bag !! I do the same when I'm remodeling an old Victorian home . I figure in a hundred years someone will be remodeling again and they will see what year and who did it. A fun thing for me. I've been in this business for 55 years and I did get one call from a job I did 30 years ago ! And I went back to the job and did another remodel job in another part of the home. Love it brother , miss ya man !
Bedos you are on top as always. You impressed me not only with your skill, but also with the fact that you remember the history of your family. Great logo for a company, great tattoo. Good luck!!!
I like the old worn look. It speaks to the bag's history. It is very dry looking - I mean it is over 100 so 🤷 I would have preferred for him to repair the small things, give it a good cleaning & conditioning to re-hydrate the leather. IMHO
Yeah, I think it looked pretty ok to be honest. On the other hand, I also get to refresh the material at some point (keeping the old stuff) and this still got enough to have the spirit still in there. My old computer from when I was young is now worth quite a bit, but I didn't remember it being yellow and stuff, it was white. So I actually changed the shell (sometimes also frowned upon), because this is how I remember it. :)
Unfortunately most of the stuff IS very dry and with use would crack and deteriorate, especially in the folding areas. This is why he specifically replaces all the folding areas and keeps the rest of the bag. It wouldn't be usable with all of the original leather, its much too far gone.
Steve, any day with one of your video is a great day sir. Your restoration on the bad was nothing short of miraculous. You can be very proud of your work. Thanks Steve. Cheers from Texas!
Hi Steve, you know how much I love a "bag video"😁and this one was AMAZING. You said that the bag was 100 years old - which makes it an antique - but after the work you've done, it ceases to be just an antique....it has had life sewn back into it....it lives again! Much love and respect to you and yours from the UK 😁👍
Very interesting video Steveroo... AND amazing work once again.... I am just amazed how you can do this type of repair... AND you are right, make it a "good day",,,!!!GG.
Yet another fine project completed. Fascinating watching you removing the leather, tracing onto newer leather and completing the bag. I liked the touch of you leaving your own ‘time capsule’ in the base. Thanks for another great video. Shine on Steve
BEAUTIFUL job, as always! That's such a sweet family photo. Maybe include it in your next time capsule? I know that when thatchers in Europe re-thatch a roof, they often put info in a jar for then next thatchers to find. It's a nice bit of history and personalizes it, too.
So I started watching this early in the morning before breakfast, and near the end you sat down to some coffee and reminded your viewers to "make it a good day". I am the sort of person who likes to reinforce good behavior whenever possible, and wanted to thank you for that. You never know who is listening to you, or what they are actually "hearing" when you talk. So if you are going to bother to speak, then why not try to be positive? I think I needed to hear that phrase more than I care to admit. But thank you for that all the same. You earned the sub from me before that, but your simple statement reinforced that choice to be one that shall be permanent instead of remaining until I become bored. Likewise, I hope you yourself have a great day too.
Beautiful job. Just a personal taste thing, I would have put a double line of stitching where you join the new leather to the old. Love the pebbled leather.
I really liked the positive message toward the end. What a relaxing and interesting video, the idea to leave some info inside was cool too, hopefully the story unfolds further! Very nice tribute to your dad as well. I am subbed for sure 😃👍
Imagine someone else 100 years from now explaining who Steve is and re-repairing this same bag. Thanks to Steve, this bags story continues.
Yes , very nice touch with the note and business card, but, i would right on the note a couple word about the guy who made it in the first place - Henry Likely form Rochester 1846 - 1925.
Well that ain’t gonner happen, and thats cos our governments will have wiped us out with vaccinations to hardly lethal viruses.
That would be really easy for the next dude 100 years into the future. There's a video diary for him to see what Steve did.
@@thomaschristopherwhite9043 Yes exactly. And imagine this scenario for all of humanity, big potential, big heaven on earth.
I am so impressed with everything you do but this one just blew me away. Absolutely beautiful. I NEVER get tired of watching you work. If that case could talk imagine stories it could tell.
You are a Master Craftsman! You are the BEST! NO Apologies!
Those are working man's hands. Never apologize for them. You work hard at an honest living and you're very talented to boot. The only problem with your hands being like that, is they can be very painful for you, making it hard to handle your job. Aside from that, those are gorgeous hands providing for your family.
Your fingers look that way because of hard work
You have to earn those lines and cracks
Thats a true tradesman
Leather masters hands there
Steve, when I am at my lowest I find you for peace. God hears my prayers but you are a great angel. Thank you dear friend.
Owl
That bag was in pretty good shape for its age. I love watching you repair all these old bags like this.
I like watch old stuff being restored, you did very great job, very great!!
What a cool youch leaving a note and business card. Imagine 100 years from now, another skilled craftsman like yourself opens it and finds it. I bet that would make his day, Like when you were looking for an old newspaper. A true living time capsule.

Honestly. You are the nicest human! You really spread good vibes. Cheers to you and your family 🇺🇸
The sound that old leather makes is very pleasing to the ears.😊
Perfect timing! I am just about to restore my own vintage medical bag. Thanks for the video.
There just aren't many people like you, god bless you sir!
Wow! The bag is amazing! As a historian I love your “time capsule.” Thank you for your message about making the day great. It meant something. ❤️ Lastly, I think you honored your Father so creatively with that tattoo. He is always with you. 👍👜
Bag repairs are my favorite videos of yours.
I just noticed the tattoo of your father halfway through the video. Very cool
Steve you never disappoint with these re-crafted masterpieces! The story lives on thanks to you!
I totally feel you channeling your late brothers energy when you were doing this job..turned out excellent
Steve, you are a magician. Your work is impeccable. Beautiful. God Bless

Your dad on your arm, how cool is that! Outstanding work on the bag too. it's always a surprise to see a new video from you. Thank you for that.

Fantastic repair. I also like the Time Capsule idea.
Great job with great result! I would have loved to see the reaction of the owner. 😊
Now this one is 'Challengingly' interesting job.
