Great concept! There are so many little techniques that would seem like just a nuance but can make a huge difference. I'd love to see an explanation on bunny hopping and maintaining speed/boost management. Thank you for your work.

I've been practicing on mine and omg! I've been able to get 1 placement higher just by doing that... At least.
Not really, I was told they lowered it a bit. And from my personal experience it's still there. That hot fix was kind of a joke. 😔

With Belle since I was almost at Emerald b4 the reset, my cloak is level 4 (I think). That fire trail is so helpful.
But man, it sucks when you get constantly banged or stunned. That will kill your momentum. If I can go from 8th to 3rd in a race, I consider that a victory.
I think I race my best with belle. It really depends on each situation you're in, constantly, and which "item box" you get and when to play it with Belle. With her, as long as you keep your nitro boost going as your main priority, you'll find yourself using her other abilities as support to keep that nitro/speed constantly
And that, my friend, is how I was able to obtain my finest glory moments with belle before all others. Now on the flip side, that's also taking into consideration my play style and preference. I am terrible with brawlers 😅
And if you can bump up your combat stat, it *should* help minimize the duration of being stunned..... Buuut.. your acceleration also helps too. I think acceleration is also very important from getting back in there too!
this seems like a really great place to mention how much i HATE steamboat mickey, my absolute bewretched. his special feels impossible to avoid and u can get hit over and over, and he can just keep pulling it over and over, he really needs a nerf 😭

As with other viewers, we would all love to learn more from you, Lofton 🙏 Maybe more videos like this on managing to cope with the pressure in higher level races, where there're fewer than 6 racers? Yeah, would love to hear other kinds of tips, especially item management just like in MK8 Dlx 👌

@poppinoftenwithlofton6036 Actually, I do have recorded one clip 🤧 from the race I faced against you haha. I did my best but I would like to improve cuz I finished 6th out of 7th. Though I was under levelled at 25 and MPR 25, but same as Poppin too, maybe you were higher starred 🌟 Still, maybe you could see where I could have improved and whatnot? That would be so helpful for others too 🙏🏼

why did it become so sweat even on low ranks? feels like playing diamond on silver already.
The ranked reset caused a lot of the players to drop down. This has never really been a thing in early access, so I'm wondering if the devs didn't anticipate it.

Well..... Ranked races is all about stards/stars and not so much level. Poppin already did a video about how level, crew, etc don't actually matter. Right now though, with the adjustments made for season 5, all players (more so referring to 5* characters) are going back into ranked to get their MPR numbers back from where they were. So it's kinda hectic right now ifyoir stars aren't already there. However, that chaos should die down soon. If you haven't much DS lately, 1st take a look at the different type of racers (yes, poppin made a video about that too) and what they do. Then out of those types, see which character and their abilities suit you (and how you play) best. Then work and get to know that character and see what ability to use and the best/most opportune time to use said abilities.
@@Pokevaporwife skill plays a role, as well as being comfortable with your racer. It all helps.

Also, I am a returning Newbie who used to play a short while this past summer on my iPad Pro on my foreign iTunes account Great Britain. I can’t win to get rewards UNLESS I have Arbee drive on. Should I continue to use Arbee collecting rewards for awhile or should I work on normal mode??? I have Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Mulan, Shang, Elizabeth Swann, Meg, Hercules, Sully, Mike, Bo Peep, Jumba, Elsa, Hans and Kristoff.

It's really up to you how you want to approach speedstorm. I wouldn't really play ranked unless you have two stars or you're about to get it. You get shards as ranked rewards.
Regulated is a great way to get used to the game and how to race. It also helps you earn a little bit of rewards per rotation.
That's a hard one to answer though, it's really just what you'd like to do.🙂
