I don't understand how people didn't give this musical more love. It has beautiful music.
Edited to add that I think I've listened to this about 50 times since yesterday.
What an asset of the music world you are... you make me smile every single time i hear a song and my heart opens up. Thank you Tim, kisses from the UK
It’s fascinating how this song can be so frickin’ good either on solo piano or with Chris Nightingale’s utterly gorgeous orchestration. And your vocal chops have improved so much just in the few years I’ve been following you (years in which my entire life has become something I love instead of something I endure).
Thank you, Tim, both for your music and for being the catalyst that led me to happiness. I met my husband and all my best friends because of you, and words cannot express my gratitude 🥰
That's beautiful
That’s what creatives live for. Just here to reach you and share the light. Keep enjoying, everything.
Wow Tim! So good to see you again! ❤ 😍 💖 ❣
Tim Minchin, thankyou for putting these on RUclips for those of us who are basically housebound! I've loved you from the beginning. When you thought you weren't 'deep'! What a legacy, sweet child! Your genius is just hanging out for all to see! 👍💙💖🥰✌
Such a talented guy. Seems like a genuine good bloke.
I second what Laura Jarrell said! You are my favourite artist bar none.
Much ❤️ Timothy!!!
That was so beautiful.
84 baby yet I'm learning of U 🤙🤗
Much love Tim
I can't say how much this show means to me and my wife. We're going to have to figure out how to get to London just to see this again. Thanks so much for this moving rendition, literally brought us both to tears
I've been obsessed with this song all week! Been on repeat. So beautiful. I LOVE the cast recording but man it is SO nice to hear this in your voice Tim. Thank you for this.
This is the highest level of artistry. I know You are revered, Tim Minchin, yet I think still underappreciated as a musician.
I already have tickets to the Old Vic and I am so excited it's unreal
You never cease to amaze me.
Astounding as always Tim.
I was absolutely convinced you were an incredible songwriter and storyteller when I first saw Matilda in Stratford upon Avon and at the big concerts at the NEC where you could have heard a pin drop at the end of ‘White Wine…’.
Just incredible.
Stunning song
I adore this song. I love the difference between your vocals and Andy Karl's. GHD has been the only CD in my car for years.
I love this, I love you and GHD I saw it in 2016 and again this year and I still loved every second. If it comes back again I would see it again ❤
Beauty!
Thanks, Tim. I needed that.🥰
Please never stop playing music, you're fantastic Tim!!
Beautiful!!
Needs a road trip clip. Lovely.
When I first heard this song, I was obsessed and played the RUclips videos you posted on a loop. Lucky enough to have seen the show at The Old Vic in 2016 and hoping to see it again, but with my 3 adult children this time. Love this performance Tim. Still gives me the chills. ❤❤❤
I saw groundhog Day in previews! I loved it so much!
These are my favorite kind of videos, pure unfiltered talent. Absolutely love this!
This is really great
T H A N K Y O U ! 💗🎼
Freaking awesome, beautiful and soulfully complete. Thank you.
Great!
Как же красиво... Каждое произведение, каждое исполнение - шедевр!
Quote. " I'm Tim Minchin and I'm going to make you cry. Freakin ball like a baby" quit breaking my heart bro
Thank You, half Bosum. Good News! With the death of Grand Fiddler on the Roof you've been scheduled for the role of Candlestick in the next production of the Yiddish musical.
-Man Ray
Outstanding vocal performance.....Portugal is waiting
Thanks for this! I live in Kansas, but saw Groundhog Day on Broadway (twice!) and if I could, I'd book a trip to London. I saw Matilda on Broadway and loved it too, but if I had to pick one it'd be Groundhog Day.
Tim is god! ♥️🚗
Fervently but patiently waiting for your next musical, whatever it may be. Kind of hoping you will be reading something, like Terry Pratchett's Discworld or Winnie the Pooh, or watching something like Casablanca or Stephen King and just get suddenly inspired and write another genius show.
In the meantime, loving the songs You've already made. Gonna go listen to them all again.
Awesome Song, but why didn't you turn your phone or camera horizontally...
🥀♥️🥀
Drove out of town, took a right onto a northbound highway.
Was it really only yesterday.
If I had known what now I know maybe I
Would have taken a moment.
Maybe looked over my shoulder.
Maybe shed a tear.
Now I'm here.
A storm rolled in, overwhelm me sometime late this morning.
Think I ignored the warnings.
I spent a lifetime seeking signs, reading lines,
Trying to forecast the future.
Always staying a day ahead.
Well that was the idea.
Now I'm here.
I thought I'd seen it all, was sure by now I knew this place.
I swear that I knew every hair, each line upon your face.
I thought the only way to better days was through tomorrow,
But I know now that I know.
Yes I know now that I know nothing.
But I'm here.
And I'm fine.
And I'm seeing you,
For the first time.
I'm alright,
And I'm seeing you,
For the first time.
I thought I'd seen it all, was sure by now I knew this place.
I swear that I knew every hair, each line upon your face.
I thought the only way to better days was through tomorrow,
But I know now that I know.
Yes I know now that I know that I'm here,
And I'm fine and I'm seeing you,
For the first time.
I'm alright,
And I'm seeing you,
For the first time.
well done! :)
Love this❤
you're gifted man! 🙌🙌
Fantastic! I remember as a kid in Kambalda in the middle of the WA desert, watching musicals and opera on the ABC just because it was so good, would be amazing to have a performance/recording of Groundhog Day like that! Whaddya reckon?
Under estimated 🤯 laugh and cry
I dont need arena-Tim. Just a room-sized Tim with a piano by his side.
(unless he gets in a JCS prod again. Please God 🙏)
Holy fuck!!! Bernie and Elton better be scared!!! Youre more talented then they are together!!! Please, i mean no disrespect to either Bernie or Elton!!! They made an incredibly, amazing team!!!
You, tho, blow my mind!!! I love your funny, factual music and now im finding these beautiful songs i didnt know existed!!!!! So, thank you!!! Im so happy you were born🎉❤❤❤
German Tank Camoulflage Patterns
The Tiger Tank camouflage pattern is derived from a failed attempt to model the pattern of marble at the base of model flag pole pedestals.
It's the looking glass approach where the telescope is the inverse of the microscope. I'm doing a city simulacrum rail model at the moment and that's how I figured it out. Marble patterns are created with a mixture of mottled white, grey and black in acrylic. I'm making a doll house sized pedestal for a flag pole. It looks a bit like marble
Спасибо Tim!
Which piano sound are you using ? I think it could be better. Aside from this, Amazin 🎉
Dedicated to My Summer Love from PD ❤😘
see you babe
Tim looks like he got caught out in the rain.
Tim understand your most likely busy .but how can I get that sound from my just defrosting out flat ...what mike and amplification ...excellent sound and piano play , sensitivity on those keys ..fine chord combinations..all the best now mate...from the land down under..
What happened to the ginge??
you sir need to take a step back and look at what you're doing to people with your writing and composing and singing thing your music either gives me a giggle or a smile to help me look at things from a different aspect or take a brief respite from the world as it is, or it tears out my heart and makes me think of someone i've lost forcing me to keep them in my heart and remember all the good times we've sha.... you know on second thought sir carry on, and thank you.
When will this tour to Australia?
When did you become a non ginger!?! Love new content, keep it coming!
songs that make me spontaneously cry are so damned annoying..makes me realise..once more..how very little control I have over my blasted emotions! But anyway I still love this song a great..great..deal.
Comedy and wit is your forte ... make me laugh again 😄
Cliche Love songs are for Disney animations ..
Rare ones stand up without trying and stem from humor or irony ..
Nice compositions though 👍👍
Stop living in the past, Tim has not released new comedy material in well over a decade. He done and finished with comedy so get over it already.
Truisms of The Palm Sunday
It was written in the tomes of the classical renditions about the Roman Marbles of Greece, and the big, Brisbane Dinosaur bone that one Alain de Bottome did contemplate in the Museum of Time the nature of the cheeky strain on Jesu' frame the day he chanced his only true friend namely- a Donkey into Jerusalem.
"If I offend thee good friend then I part one cheek for you. If that cheek offend ye then I grant thee the other cheek for free and without fear of fee.". Jesu said as He whisked a fly from his face with a thin thatch in shadow of Palm Tree graced.
"Then good friend I give to you the grace of memory in the asterisk of my flank so fine. It blesseth your mind with the kindness of a bouncy loaf behind a horseshoe return twice in kind". The Donkey replied with ears turned back and shoes that chimed against the cobblestones of this very olde town lost betwixt a Tower of Babel in the nature of fable. In the valley of the hills one Alain de Bottome I grant to you the Theory of Beauty to tell in the mythologies of folklore Rhymes.

Re: Position(s) of parklands in relation to churches and schools
The Churches are facing the wrong way. This issue goes back a long way in town planning. I'm thinking it relates to an inability to control the penal settlements in Australia who may have perverted Indigenous moral practices in the home over the course of settlement.
Beautiful🥹
Criminally underrated musical
Ta
Tim, I sure hope you get some residual from the myriad of RUclipsrs posting "Tim Minchen reaction videos" on your content. If not, seems like serious content pirating.
I'm sure your management wouldn't let others make millions off your creative content.
You're getting fitted up.
Loki... grant... Gilbert o'Sullivan.
Leave
Wonderful!! Now do “Night Will Come “! That song really wants your voice!
tim looking like the great mad al yankovic.👍
😂
No human can be as talented as Tim Minchin. I hope he never goes back to his home planet.
Word.
Of all of your incredible body of songs, this one, sung by you alone with your keys, brings me to sobbing tears... wishing for one more moment with one who has passed... "but I'm here, and I'm fine... I'm alright...."
Thank you for sharing your genius with the world.
Tim in the raw. Kinda a cool scene. Just in his element signing and getting his music as her plays. Looks nice. A little weird if you're used to the frazzled hair goofball but such an intimate moment. I love his emotional range and insight about his life through his music.
You always make my day better doing whatever with your art. Thanks 🖤
Gave me chills. Beautiful, Tim!
Love this song, love the musical!
I am loving these. Guess the upcoming show is to thank. I have heard these songs thousands of times so I’m really appreciating hearing them directly from you.
DO MORE GROUNDHOG DAY SONGS
Oh. My. 💓 - thanks Tim. Wish this could be released on CD - like a mix of your musical songs with you performing them. I do have the GHD soundtrack but I'm just a HUGE fan of your versions to be honest.
Hope you & the fam keeping well!
Your music has an annoying habit of finding the softest part in the underside of my heart, digging it's way in, and tearing me to shreds in a way that makes me beg for more. Thank you again, Mr. Minchin. Now I'm going to ruin another box of tissues while I listen to this on repeat.
This is when it kills me that I live in an apartment where I can't really play this as loudly as I wish and sing along as loudly as I want.
Perfectly said...even playing in major keys, those minor chords, combined with Tim' s brilliant lyrics and in of incredible sense of timing, undo me every time...
Tim’s music moves me. It’s everything I love about music wrapped into one beautiful package.
Words with a strong impact 🎉 Thanks for sharing your thoughts 💜
Wow, that was absolutely beautiful Tim! So glad I clicked on you and heard this masterpiece. My eyes actually teared up. Thank you for sharing your songs/music with us!!!!!
Merci !
Best song from Groundhog Day, not doubt

@@PGurgelSegrillo Damn. Guess I have a show to watch in the future.
@@Mihoshika I'm looking forward to it, too!
Thanks for the smiles!
I am loving these new videos ❤
criminally underviewed...
This song is just so beautiful and moving. Love the version you did on TV show, with strings… keep coming back to it. ❤
Tim, you’re an artist in the purest form of the word. Keep being you!
Devastating
_If I didn't have you, I guess someone else would do._
May god b-less. ; )
Thank you so much. I love your music, and I most love to hear you sing it.
I seriously enjoyed your Groundhog Day musical. I could only see it on a bootleg DVD someone took at the show in New York. I would buy a ticket, a DVD, hell a VCR tape if I could see it for real.
I saw you play a koala, Judas (you were magical in that role!), and a beat-down man moving an upright piano across Australia. Also a lackadaisical security guy. I'm sure there's more I've missed, I haven't caught up to your Californication role yet.
But the best you do is music. You have transformed many moments in my life with your music. I have every CD I can find in the states. I'm going to have to buy a new copy of Groundhog Day because I've worn it out.
Particularly the song you just sang.
Thank you.
I never thought I'd hear a more poignant end to a musical than West Side Story, but this is right up there with it. Such a beautiful song with incredible meaning. Gutted I won't be able to get to London to see it.
I agree. And I never thought I’d put anything up there with “Somewhere”. But I’m here…
by far my favorite musical, incredible!!
I wrote to Tim about potentially getting another U.S. tour or something related, hope I can one day see him perform live :)
When did Tim turn into frank Gallagher🤣🤣
😘🥰💋
I really love how the musical went in depth on the other characters, especially with Rita. The blend of different styles of music throughout the entire show were so powerful, I love the portrayal of Punx and the weather
Your lyrics give me hope.
Absolutely amazing, love your music Tim. I have been listening to you a long time now and somehow I can't escape the addiction I have to the "Cheese" song. Thank you.
