- Hey Everyone,
I was looking at all the different types of plants I have, and I realized that out of all them, the plant species that I have the most of, are Hoya’s. I guess I never realized it because most of my Hoya’s are small, but they have become one of my favourite houseplants lately. Partly because of their beautiful wax like foliage and blooms. I also find them easy to care for all year long.
In this video I’ll go through my collection tour and share with you how I care for my Hoya’s. Let me know what you guys think after the video. Are they an easy enough to care for houseplant for beginners and black thumb’rs ?

Are Hoyas a beginners houseplant? What kind was your first Hoya? 😊
I agree! Once you have one, you can't get enough of these beautiful beings!! My first was the same, Hoya Parasitica with my second being the Hoya Pubicalyx. They are so interesting to watch grow.
Truly appreciate your videos! Thanks for sharing
Crazy Plant Guy my first Hoya was a given to me by a friend ( twenty years ago ) a Hoya Carnosa ....bloomed once but the blooms were amazing!
I have to say Hoyas are my favourite houseplants💚
My first hoya is a beautiful publicalix splash and he is still very happy in my care 😊
I think hoyas are perfect for beginners. I have 7 different hoyas and 3 of the Crimson princess. I have a hoya Bella and love her but she was only 2 limbs when I got her I did cut them both and propigated the cuttings back into her pot I also bought a second Bella in a 4" pot she was supposed to be delivered on April 24th but now its showing monday. A 60th Birthday gift to myself as well as a 4 inch verigated string of hearts. Your hoyas are beautiful!! I have a krinkle 8 and a couple starts of a chelsie I love them both. I gave my mom the hindu rope. I guess I dont have the patience for the rope. I like to see new growth. Happy growing to you.
Hoya Crimson queen and Hindu rope varigated..i bought them together🥰🥰
"Hi, my name is Christian and I'm a Plant" he is finally transitioning Into a plant!! I love this guy! His positive attitude, content and alllll of his plants!! 💚🌿
Bwahaha I didn’t even notice I said that until someone pointed it out...lol I meant to say I love plants, but I’m a plant sounds right too. 😆🌿
@@CrazyPlantGuy it does sound right!! Lol keep up the great work my friend!
Omg! I'm not the only one who heard " and I'm a plant." LOL 🌿
I thought I was hearing things, he talks so fast lol
I heard that hahhaa i thought so
Sounds like you re-pot FAR too often. I have had hoyas for 20 years. I re-potted them the moment they came home. That was 17 years ago. The originals are still in their pots and they bloom. Every year (May to Oct)
They will not flower if you keep disrupting their home.
When it comes to amending the soil, I have simply left the OG's in their pots and scraped out what soil I could and added new soil.
There are 3 that I have repotted as they are huge and out grown their original pot. They still flowered that year because I repotted then in the down season so they had time to get used to their new homes.
Oh my...Thank you so much Claudia for all of these great tips and information you’re sharing from years of experience. Wow. Love hearing others experiences especially when you’ve had your plants for a long time. So cool. 😊🌿💜
I never realized Hoyas could be so sensitive to change in pots, but actually it makes sense when I think about an experience I had. The only Hoyas that ever died on me had fallen from a shelf really high up and I think the plant got shocked from the strong impact and being out of its pot. It was like it just withered up and died.
After repotting, hoya first fills the pot with roots and then flowers, so with frequent repotting you are postponing the bloom. (That's what they told me at my local flower shop.)
I have a different experience. I repot every other year or every three years. My hoyas grow faster that way and they continue to bloom.
My biggest hoya had been last repotted spring 2019 and spring this year it was worrying me very much, getting dehydrated fast, even though I was watering every week! So I checked and it seemed awfully rootbound. Since it was starting to bud up, I didn't want it to blow the buds, so I carefully repotted it in such a way that I barely disturbed any roots. I just lifted the plant out of the pot (big plant, 11 years old 😅 ), set it in a pot 2 sizes bigger, old soil and all, and just refilled with new soil. The roots didn't even notice a thing, but the dehydration symptoms went away, leaves got plump again and none of the peduncles got blasted. Had 11 flower clusters that spring :)
I do love the continuity of your white pots, Christian. Your eye goes to the plants and not the containers. You just made my Sunday morning. Coffee, you and your hoyas!
Thank you my friend.
Darryl
Yes you have a pedunkel on the H. mathilde :-). My first Hoya was a H. carnosa, I got her as a little leaf :-)... and now we have spent over 40 years together :-)
Wow. 40 years. Amazing, man that’s so cool hearing stories of plants that people have owned for along time. I’m looking forward to the many years I’m going to have with these Hoyas. So exciting. Thanks for sharing. 😊🌿💚
I was amazed and stunned when I saw a Hoya carnosa compacta in my local plant shop. She was quite expensive, but I had to have her. Her name is Mabel and she has been living with me for 10 or so years. I would put a photo on if I could. Love and hugs, stay safe xxx
Wow what a find and 10 years old now. Must look amazingly beautiful. 😍
@Linda Weisman, I love that you gave her a name! I talk to my plants and teach my kids to do the same. Just found one too, will have to name her after you.
Anytime I question my plants spending I think back to my drug addiction and how much money I wasted with nothing to show for it
Sober now high on life literally plants plants plants flowers butterfly's birds
@@danman4300 YES!!!! CONGRATS on your sobriety!
Thanks for just.... talking about plants. This is the content I need to de-stress with everything going on in the world.
Yes, your Hoya Matilde Splash is certainly giving you it's bloom. Well done.
My first hoya is the Krimson queen! Love how they’re pet-friendly to my cats! Now I’m addicted to your collection 😍
That’s awesome and good know they’re pet friendly.
Crazy Plant Guy Idk if you have issues with Nemo destroying your plants. But when I first adopted my kitten he destroyed everything!! That’s why I created this channel to share my experience!
I love Hoyas, I have about 30 my oldest being about 15 years old. I find them easy as long as you don't over water
I love hoyas!!!! Krimson queen was my first! I have a krimson princess and australius coming in the mail soon! As of right now my favorite in is the linearis i got from planterina, it’s amazing!
Awesome thanks for sharing, . Adding those to my list now .lol
Love the engleriana and yes, that mathilde is a peduncle. Happy blooms. Awesome collection.
You are such an enabler, lol just bought my first Hoya princess 👸 plus watching you I got a string of hearts and very happy 😊 thanks for all your information.
I just started to plant at home and i have no idea of what I’m doing. Your videos help a lot. Thank you.
I am obsessed with the jade scindapsus pictus on your shelf!! It is beyond perfect
No better way to wind up my weekend than watching @crazy plant guy Video. Love your channel!
Thank you.
Just like Pokémon 😂😂😂😂 I’m going to start giving each of my Hoya a Pokémon character name!!
Hahah right. Great idea, ah I miss Pokémon , childhood memories. 😆
Hey Crazy Guy, you had a live chat yesterday. I tried going on, I got a message saying I have to get a update to RUclips. I went to the play store, nothing available, I have the updated version. Your chat is not even in your past videos, I have subscribed to you. So if you had a bad turn out maybe that's why. Never had that happen before, must be something wrong with your RUclips account. Check it out.....
What we really need is some Hoya trading cards! The rare ones can be holographic lol
I like this idea😇
I just bought my first Hoya. The Krimson Princess. She’s so pretty!!!!!! I’m about to go back to work to my office from working at home so I’m excited to bring some new plant babies with me.
Hi Crazy Plant Guy - im not so crazy plant lady just starting my houseplants.
I love the Hoya xxxx particularly the one with the tight curly wurly leaves !! Your contents are very informative and I’m checking out all your videos!! A new subscriber here !!
I just got my first hoya today! Pubicalyx splash! Watching as many videos as possible to make sure she thrives 😃
Just watch the overwatering....my publicalyx got a few yellow leaves when I watered it for the first time. ☹️
It probably didn't need watering yet, even though the pot was light.
@@seaglass8940 I did notice the light pot, but decided to wait 2 days before watering her. Glad I did
I love Hoyas, they are beautiful! Thanks for sharing yours.
I'm new to houseplants, but got my first hoya just a few days ago! Hoya wayetii started my obsession, and now I've got my own Krimson Princess :) can't wait to collect more!! I love the hoya kerrii...
Love your video. I just got the princess... well I got two. Two years ago I decided to learn about plants and I found your video.... thanks for the information
My first Hoyas is the same as your first. Love' your collection.
So true! Hoyas are addictive! I bought my first one which was a pubicalyx around 3 months ago and now I have 12 and getting more tomorrow! I just think they are such beautiful plants and I definitely go by leaves and not the flowers.
Yesterday was my first time seeing a hoya and I had to get it ... my first hoya krison princess 👸💖
Today was the first time I saw Hoyas at my friends house and she gave one to me! I’m so excited
@@nanabananainavana7534 that's very nice of her
I always had plants my whole life and thought I knew a lot , but since this quarantine I ventured into more unusual plants and have learned so much , my biggest lesson , watering too much !
This is how I killed my variegated string of hearts but got a new one .
I hear you about learning new things, even with some of my plants that I’ve had for a while, I seem to learn something new now that I spending so much more time with them.
My twin brother has an amazing hoya that climbs about 8 feet in his living room. It's stunning. I have a baby from it but it will never compare to his.
(I guess that's what you get for being 3 minutes younger!)
Wow. Sounds like an amazing Hoya he’s got. Thanks for sharing.
you have the happiest rubber trees i've ever seen! just gorgeous
Tq so much. U r the only one who really mentioned about how long I need to wait in between watering
I'm with you Christian, once you get one Hoya, you have to keep getting more. My first Hoya was a Carnosa, from a two leaf cutting my Mom gave me over 20 years ago, and I ended up propagating it and the new plant is going crazy with all of it's new growth, they are so easy to water propagate, at least it was for me. I have 9 so far, but probably 6 of the ones you have are on my wish list. I think if you have the right lighting conditions for them they would be an easy houseplant to start with. Thanks so much for this video and I hope you stay safe and I look forward to your next video, XOXO, bye for now.
Wow Holly. What started out as a cutting over 20 years ago must be an amazing looking plant. Love hearing stories like thatX reminds me of my Jasmine that I got as a cutting from my mom 15 years ago. 😊 thanks for sharing.
I'm in a really good hoya group on Facebook. People asked all sorts of questions and instantly people are answering. There's so much knowledge there it's amazing! If you have a lot of Hoya questions you should definitely join that group.
Awesome. Thank you for the suggestion, I will for sure. 😊
Hoya newbie here! I went from 0 to 4 hoyas this week LOL and probably adding another today. Could you please do a hoya update video on what you have now & care tips you've learned along the way 😊
It's a bloom peduncle - beautiful! A great collection which enjoys good care.💐
My first Hoya was a publicalyx, and it bloomed for me after three years. I think the more root-bound they are, the more they want to bloom. But we’ll see. My collection keeps growing. I think I have around 20 different plants now, mostly different species.
I got a hoya cutting from a friend's mom and she has had it for 25 years in the same pot! Blooms 3 times a year, many Blooms. If you get a bigger pot they will concentrate on the roots instead of leaves and flowers. Same with all her plants. She has had even older plants in the same pot and they love being root bound! She has also had weird Blooms like sanseveria (I did not know it bloomed). But do trim them sometimes. I'm a plant newbie but I learn from veterans 😁
I started collecting plants because of your videos 😁 love from the Philippines
Haha. Awesome. Welcome to the plant life!
I still haven’t jumped on the Hoya train...I just don’t get the appeal 😂 but they are cool and yours look great!
l said the same thing before I got my first Hoya. 😅😬 Haha. They’re resilient, fun and cute.
There is also a tactile quality to the foliage, which is very satisfying to experience. I think many people collect for the variations in flowers. Which are really fascinating on their geometric conformation and the waxy, sticky texture. I love weird plants!
Same here and I have two
I wasn't until I got a free, plant after 3 yrs, mine is about to flower for the first time and am excited.😘
My 1st Hoya was a vine that fell off a Crimson princess hanging pot from a big box store. I asked the manager if I could take it, she said yes. Rooted some in water the rest in a potting mix. Both have rooted and are now residing in a 4" pot together. Then last Friday I found a full hanging pot of Crimson Princess in HD for $9.96😍. I have also recently acquired a String bean hoya and an Australis. The addiction is real! I really wanted a retusa...purchased 2 and both died, even the cutting with roots turned yellow and died when water propogated.😭
I just bought my first hoya... a Krimson Princess from walmart...😍
This is so true! Once I got my first Hoya I was HOOKED! I want every kind now! Lol krimson princess was my first and I still admire her every day!
Go to 11:11 if you just want to learn about care tips!
Bonjour Christian !You have a magnificent Hoya collection !I have Only one for the Time being...the Australis.I dare to propagate it in water and it is beautiful...lots of roots and even new stems and tiny leaves !!And today I repot it,I put all the stems in a Terra Cotta pot, with perlite and potting mix plus I water it...I cross my fingers,it was my 1st Time....
Thanks for the vid and see You on The next one 😉🌿🌱🍃🍀🌿
That’s awesome. I haven’t tried propagating any Hoyas, happy you got yours to root and excited for the growth to continue now that you planted it in soil mix. Good luck Celine.
@@CrazyPlantGuy thanks, you're so Nice 😉😆and thank you for taking the Time to answer to every body...that's so sweet of you!🙏😊
wow so nice and beautiful ... i love it here new friend for waiting your next vedio
I would think so. I have a Hoya Publicalyx, and she is a GEM!!!! 🙂 Beautiful!!! Thank you for sharing your collection.
I'm a total beginner, and just bought a Hoya Indian Rope ... I just love love love the look of it!!
Yay. Congrats and excited for your plant journey...also love the way the Hindu Rope looks too 😊
“Just like Pokémon’s!” Lol You crack me up! Thx for another informative video! Your knowledge is very much appreciated. 😊☀️
LOL... Riiight. I want to collect them all now. :D
Crazy Plant Guy Me too! 👏🏽🌱😊
Love your Hoya collection!!! I’m getting little Hoya crazy lately!! My first Hoya was Krimson Queen!!
The kerrii, obovata and macrophylla can withstand more light than the others. I have mine on my south window. Don‘t be afraid to move them.
I love your humour, these videos are such a great help!
Hey Christian!
I don’t have a Hoya plant yet ? For some reason they intimidate me . I’m afraid of killing one ! But , maybe some day when I’m brave , I’ll take on the challenge. Thanks for sharing! Greetings from New York! 🌺
I love your videos! Informative and entertaining. Just recently started to get into Hoyas and I feel an obsession coming on 🤣 Thank you!
I definitely think that there's SOME hoyas that are great for beginners like Hoya obovata, pubicalyx, and carnosa krimson queen. But there's plenty of hoyas that require extra attention, and care that makes them finicky.
Yeah true. With so many species of Hoyas there’s a range of easy to fussy. Lol can’t wait to experience them all, just means more Hoyas. Haha
Is hoya cornosa tricolour OK?
@@nublessed8993 that's a carnosa cultivar. I think those are rather easy...though I guess the carnosa compacta is extremely slow.
My first hoya was hoya bella. You must get one of these. Mine bloom frequently and smell heavenly. They're in a southeast facing window. I now have 6 hoyas in total and will be getting more when I see the right ones. My last one is a hoya hindu rope. It looks like it will be the slowest grower. I have many houseplants and succulents, but I think that hoyas are a good beginner plant. Succulents, on the other hand, I find are quite difficult to grow. I enjoyed your video. Thanks.
Your the best! I love watching you, enjoy your lovely plants. Keep up the amazing information you give us!
Yes, I’m sure by now that you have blossom. I have a Hoya carnosa that includes cutting from cutting from plants my mother got in 1961. They do like to be root bound and not over watered.
Now I have to hunt for Hoya Philippines 😳 Thanks Christian! 🍃💚
Haha riiight. 🇵🇭
I recently purchased my first Hoya and now have four of them. Lol. This is the first informative video I have found on here! Very useful!
I currently have two krimson queens, bilobata and a wayetti (I think).
Haha so funny, and I do want to collect them all like pokemon! 🌿
I have a Crimson Queen and just got my #1 Wishlist Hoya, Fishtail Hoya, this past week!
Oh my, I just googled fishtail Hoya. Ok ima want that on my list too. 😆 Thanks for sharing.
@@CrazyPlantGuy They are beautiful! It didn't ship all that great, though. In shock a little after its trip. Hopefully it recovers well 😅
Loving your shirt! Hindu rope is on my wish list....but now I have to change that to a variegated! Love the video 👍🏻🌱
Thank you. Yes the variegated one is so pretty. 😊
I love to buy the “basic,” more common Hoya that are considered more “beginner” plants because they like to dry out and don’t act dramatic once I find a spot in the house they like. Because they’re slower growers for me, I’d rather pay a little more and get a bigger one than get the tiny ones. I do use the spray orchid fertilizer, too.
I just got a Hoya Australis lisa. My first I’m sure if this one does well, there will be more😊
I looove them so much, I have about 15. I love them for the foliage so much I don’t even get mad if they haven’t bloomed yet. I have many small babies and about five larger sized plants. The macrophylla has been my most fussy one so far but I think I have it dialed in.
❤❤❤ I agree! I started with the the Hoya crimson queen. Got gas xmas gift n year later I like have 10 as well 😂🎉
I was an orchid collector for 30 yrs ( only store bought phalaenopsis, mostly to collect different colored flowers) and a lot of other houseplants I can keep in Ontario Canada weather...then last year, i just felt bored with my orchids collection as they were getting some scales infestation that wont clear up after treatments so i just threw them all out ...and a year ago i started to get interested in hoyas so i bought 2 first, a Compacta/h
Hindu Rope and a Krinkle 8, just to try my hands on them... I bought them in the middle of winter here in January and I trelissed both of them from the start as im not a fan of trailing or hanging plants ( l like the look but I dont like the work of going up a height to water them or check their soil as im older and have artbritis and i dont want to have a fall) So these 2 hoyas grew okay steadily over 12 months to about 18" tall from a 2 inch tall cuttings, and no growth for the winter months of Dec Jan and Feb...so since March which is spring month, i started to fertilize them every 2 weeks to wake them up from their dormancy...and instantly they started getting active growth points on their vine tips, having 2 peduncles on each hoya appeared, had flowered after a month aftwr the peduncles showed up...theyre so beautiful!!! Soooo exciting! Guess what? After the success of these 2 hoyas, l keep going to my nursery and have been so crazy buying 6 of them at a time, so now i added 20 more hoyas to my first 2. Yeah its an addiction for sure! But i also love plants so much that when I look back over the years, whenever i have a hard time looking for them and finally find them, I buy them in multiples of 6 to 8 pots, so i can expetience them all. Theyre not created equal for sure....I did this with rex begonias, alocasias, phalaenopsis, philodendrons, euphorbias, and some cacti...its like hoarding 😂😂😂 but plants always makes me happy...its better than collecting clothes, shoes, watches, handbags or jeweleries because i did all those before...and plants are so much affordable ! ❤❤❤
Hoya Obavata, then, Queen, Princess, Kerii variegated, Publicalyx Red Buttons....I'm hooked!!!🌱💚🌱💚love your info, thanks much💚💚💚
They’re so addictive...😆 The Publicalyx red button is nice.
0:15 those ficus trees are handsome. I got myself some ficus last week. I never tried ficus elastica until I watched Crazy Plant Guy's ficus videos.
Haha. They’re great plants 😊
My macrophylla was super dormant since I got it back in...September, I think, then all of a sudden EXPLODED with new leaves. Then all my other hoyas started up. Spring is the best! New growth everywhere!
I just got a hoya kentiana on a whim from Quebec. It arrived in pretty rough shape (covid is really killing my plant ordering vibes) and dropped a LOT of leaves, but I'm determined to keep it alive! The long skinny leaves are gorgeous.
Nice. My parasitica was like that dormant forever and now just shooting out growth. 😊
Oooh Kentianna. Agree those skinny leaves are so beautiful
That is a padunkle. You are going to get a bloom!
😎
Yay. Thanks for confirming. I’m excited now. 😆
@@CrazyPlantGuy More than welcome!
My of my first plants was a very small, one 2 vine Hoya Krimson Queen. She got huge, but last year mealybugs came in. I thought I saved the plant, but wound up taking clippings and making a small plant.
😎
I think it was carnosa crimson princess. It was many years ago, and I hung it out side the window and it bloomed. Sadly it was left behind in a move. I'm trying again I purchased cuttings of krinkle 8 and a very nice princess carnosa in hanging basket at home depot. I've been wanting to repot it. Thank you for sharing.
Just like Pokémon 😂I have about 16 and can’t stop 😜great video as always Christian, hugs to Nemo.
I just received my newest one the Exotica, very similar to the Queen from Planterina website. She’s a plant tuber who owns a plant shop.
Love your hoyas💗🌱
lol. Riiiight Elizabeth, I think my fav Pokémon we’re always the plant ones. 😆
Lol same 🤩😂
I love your video! I makes me excited about your hoyas. I have about 12 but they are striving hanging outside in a shaded non-bearing tree. I was suppose to be completing a stand for inside & making a half greenhouse for my other plants but became ill! Hence they are still catching shade & rainfall but growing like crazy. Only one had a tiny puduncle (flower) I have propogated about 6 of them inside & they took off like a jet too & they are outside too.
That could be a puduncle. Will have to show us if it does flower. Have you thought of a hoya multifloral? Mine blooms more than four times a year. The flowers are more of a firework of shooting stars. Real cool.
I’m addicted to Hoyas! I just got my first and want so many!
Yay. Congrats on your first Hoya Emma.
Hey Christian, love your Vids and all your House plants. keep up the good work. you're very encouraging.
Beautiful collection Christian! And that Hoya sp DaNang Vietnam is stunning. I missed the boat on that one for sure!!! 😍
Can’t wait for the next batch of Hoyas to come in. lol 😆
@@CrazyPlantGuy lol Same!!! Was already thinking about it. 😂 We have a problem....seriously. 🤣
Yep that's a bloom coming. I have two on mine now.
Sooo excited for the bloom.
I own about 45+ different species and cultivars of Hoya and I must say most have similar care but some does require a little bit more humidity and can be more fussy than most. Other than that, I’d say the more common Carnosas are the easiest and are definitely a good beginner Hoya for those who are still unfamiliar and would like to expand their collection. For the more rare Hoya, I would definitely do my research first as they do get quite pricey depending on your location.
Lastly, I believe my first ever Hoya was Carnosa Tricolor aka Krimson Queen. Ever since then, I was hooked!
Wow 45+ so cool. Thanks for sharing your experience with different types that may require a bit more experience. Agree that once you get into the rare kinda just like tropical plants to do some research first. 😊
Yaaaaaas you keep your hoyas in plastic pots just like me.🙌🏼 I converted the last of my hoyas into a plastic pot a couple fo weeks ago and they're all so much happier with firmer leaves. Also, that looks like a peduncle on your hoya mathilde congrats! Doug over at VermontHoyas mentioned once that his hoyas have bloomed sitting in northern windows so I think these plants are very adaptable and constantly surprising. My Hoya Wayetii is shoved right up in a south-west facing window and growing like wildfire now.
I prefer to have most of my plants in plastic containers and thanks for sharing your Hoya stories, agree that these guys are pretty adaptable, Wayetti is on my list too. 😆
I just recently know Hoya when I search indoor plants in Pinterest. Then I realise Hoya Carnosa are growing everywhere together with our coffee trees in our little farm in the Philiipines😂😂😂. When they’re in bloom and coffee flowers also in season. I’m addicted 😅 Now I know about it I try to propagate more. Thanks for the care tips. 👍👍👍
I got my first Hoya today.. I believe it’s a carnosa. Pinkish stem and variegated leaves. I’ve always been scared to have them, but I’m confident all of a sudden! 🤣
Enjoy your videos. They Educate me a lot about my house plants.
Thanks, glad you found them helpful.
Will you make a video about your jasmine plant ? And the care involved
I will try, but my Jasmine isn’t doing the best right now. I’ll need to repot and prune and propagate this season.
Crazy Plant Guy can you video your repotting, pruning and propagating of your jasmine plant when you do it?
@@CrazyPlantGuy I know that plan is special to you so I hope that you get it back to being healthy again

Yes I love hoyas too. Thank you for the video. Love your channel. ❤️
Thanks Remy.
My favvv plantdad is backkkkkkk😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰🥰 very beautiful hoyas❤❤
Haha. Thanks 😊🌿🧔🏻
I just got bit by the hoya bug. I didn't really get the hype but I decided to give them a try. I currently have a retusa and Hindu Rope, with a lacunosa and longafolia as well as my first dischidia coming this week
I just got a Hoya princess and I’m so excited to see how she does. I’m still a newbie I have tons of pothos . I think I’ll have her near my south facing window I’m hoping that’s a good spot for her.
My first Hoya is carnosa. Now I have a hundred of them! I just bought a hoya linearis and can't wait get it!
lol...I’m tempted to add another 20 or so in the next month. 😆
Ohh no why did I watch this episode?!! Now I want one just after saying I'm not going to get more plants (I dont have many, but the pests and plant fails take an extra toll on me as a new plant mom). I also need to get those plant display stands you have!!! My outdoor area is very sunny (blistering hot for 5 months of the year) so I may need one to put more indoors.
Its a bloompeduncle😉 congrats
Hehehe I’m so excited to see it bloom now. I’ll check it everyday and maybe capture a time lapse of it. 😃
Crazy Plant Guy haha I do that with all of my plants🤪. Morning and evening 😂
Yes, it looks like that peduncle is forming some flower buds. Hopefully the buds make it all the way and you get to see some flowers. Good luck!
Oh Hoya are popular in my home!! I have 11 and more coming in the mail! Lol 😂 I just got H. Rebecca and H. Krohnian Super Eskimo and YES that is a bloom!
Googling those Hoya Rebecca and Eskimo now. 😆
Your rubber plants make me feel some kinda way 🥴😍
It is definitely peduncle! You are getting a bloom! Congratulations!😊
Yay. Soooo excited. 😆
Well Christian. I just got my first Hoya carnosa Variegata. You inspired me , all your fault.
And I’m looking at many years of joy with this plant.
Greetings from New York! 🌱
I already have 7 Hoya varieties😍 want to collect more🤩 Thanks for the infos💛
Hi, so did your hoyas start to bloom? Have you seen one already? Thanks for sharing!
Hi Christian! I'm still new at this and I love your channel. I found a hindu rope and the wayettii at Lowes and almost died. I just found a krimson queen at my local nursery and I got a princess at walmart. I have a couple on my wish list like that varigated hindu rope. P.S. your collection is beautiful and inspiring💚
Christian, that is a bloom on your Mathilde!
Yay. Excited.
