Riah do you always turn it over and put dye on both sides when you HWI? Some people do I’ve noticed and some people don’t. Is putting dye on both sides your preference
I actually haven’t always but it helps with saturation and to make things look a little more even. I have been experimenting with liquid and HWI to see what works best for me. ☺️❤️
Does doing this application use more product then using a bottle application?
Yes it definitely does but it’s worth it. Plus when you dye this way using the hot water irrigation technique you have no batch time so it’s instant gratification😊🧡
@@RiahsTieDye can you use the same dyes as cold water application or is it a separate type of dye? I jist recently realized there are way more then 1 kind of dyes 😂

Are your dyes mixed with anything? The results are spectacular, but it seems a very inefficient method given how much dye has to be used if they're not mixed with something.
I mix my dyes with soda ash for hwi. I use a 1:1 ratio😊🔥

I have such a issue getting wigs to wag
I definitely get it. They take some practice and even with all my practice I’m still not satisfied with mine so I completely understand. But we’re not giving up😊😖
So, 20 minutes goes against everything I have learned about TD why such a short curing time?
This one is HWI which is hot water irrigation. The hot water makes it batch a lot faster. I’m not super familiar with the microwave tie dye but it’s kind of like that…speeding up the batching time.
Really hard to see what you're doing with the white background.

bruh...this is something I WOULD DO, and I be doi'n TOO MUCH. If you're watching this, yes you have to do all this to get a good result and it's amazing but DON'T BOTHER its TOO MUCH.
Lol. This one actually wasn’t too bad. You should check out some of my Dye Art shirts. Some of those have 10-15 and even over 20 hours involved in them😊🔥
