How to Tie Dye a JAW DROPPING T-Shirt in 1 HOUR! Step by Step for Beginners!

- Today I am demonstrating how to tie-dye a JAW DROPPING T-Shirt in 1 HOUR using the H.W.I. (Hot Water Irrigation Technique) tie-dye method. This is a step by step tie-dye tutorial video where I cover the entire process beginning with the folding and drawing of the design on to the shirt. After that I tie off the design using sinew, then scrunch and rubber band the remaining material of the shirt.
Now that the shirt is all tied up it's time to apply the fiber reactive procion dye powders (colors chosen are displayed in the video) directly on top of the shirt. After that I apply a thin layer of soda ash on top of the dye powders for vibrancy, and then head on over to the sink to apply the hot water. For proper hot water application I first use a spray bottle for a light mist to help saturate the dye without it blowing all over, and then I use my garden pump sprayer that has been filled with water heated to 160 degrees Fahrenheit for proper saturation.
For the final steps I first let the shirt sit 20 minutes, then give it a good rinse, and jump right on into the reveal our new tie-dye jaw dropping mandala t-shirt. I hope you enjoy and as always...Happy Tie Dyeing!
***Before working with procion dyes or any kind of fiber reactive dye please make sure to pay special attention to all labels including directions, warnings, and first aid instructions***. I highly recommend gloves, eye protection, and a respirator or dust mask per these instructions.

Love love love the shirt hot water irrigation is my all-time favourite application and shittake mushroom is my all-time favourite dye I love the way in breaks down all By it’s self showing many many colors I have done a couple dozen of the hot water with shittake scrunches and spirals-just love love it thanks so much for sharing. It is beautiful! I get so excited for the reveal on every single video. Tie dye is a new hobby/passion for me and now I want all the colors and want to know all of the folding methods. The only thing I dislike about it is the waiting. Patience isn't one of my virtues. Lol What dye would you recommend that I could buy in a store and also online? I like bold vibrant colors. I like being able to see the colors in person before I buy them but I'm sure the best ones I probably need to order online.
Yeah I don’t know about buying in person because I don’t have any good dye stores near me but dharma trading company is the best dye but shipping is outrageous and then there is grateful dyes and pro chem and dye. So just make sure your getting dye to use with cotton or other natural fibers.
