    These exercises exposed a lot of hidden tension in my neck and even thoracic muscles. Still a way to go to get the release I feel can happen but so far the release brings a nice freedom. Thank you for making the video a "do with me" otherwise I would probably cut some exercises short.

    I feel grateful to you for your videos. I need your advice. I feel great with all your exercises except one! That exercise with pro Lordotic neck exerciser: Head tilt back- Tuck the chin- come back to neutral routine. If I TUCK THE CHIN and come back to neutral (12:20-12:22 in video)) I get a sharp shooting PAIN through my head. If I DON'T TUCK THE CHIN and come back to neutral, I don't get any pain at all. Please advice me. Thanks.

    I have had chronic neck pain for the past 3 years. I believe it's radiated up to my jaw which has been spasming and causing pain. In addition, I've been having tinnitus, ear pain and pressure for the past 3 months. I've gone to ENTs, physical pain doctors, chiropractors, and physical therapists. I did the Day 1 exercise last night and when I was finished my ear pain, pressure and tinnitus were gone. I actually had a good night's sleep for the first time in months and it was even quiet when I woke up the next morning. I did the same video again, and it really helped me throughout the day since I have been working from home and have a job that requires me to speak all day.
    I just want to thank you for your work and dedication Dr. Fields and I hope with consistency I can eventually become pain free or at least have it significantly lessened. I see you're in California, I am in Southern California. What area are you in and are you taking new patients? I would love to eventually come in for a consultation. Once again, thank you for your videos, they truly are so helpful to so many people!

    Really happy to have found your series, I'm on my second time through (of I hope, at least 8),. My pain is not just in my neck though - it's around the base of the neck -- in a band about 3-4 inches wide. How can I get at those muscles?

      It's about stretching and massaging but, also, about strengthening the opposing muscles. Look at my shoulder series.

    t's all coming together Doc! I noticed wrist discomfort 3-4 years ago from a bad posture on the computer. Then recently I had a bad stressful month which led to teeth clenching and TMJ along with neck/shoulder pain that have been on and off for a while now! Trying my best to fix posture while on the computer and also avoiding that forward head positioning while texting on the phone. Any other videos you recommend for me? Basically trying to fix my anterior pelvic tilt and TMJ at the same time but both are definitely correlated. Which videos do you recommend for me, there is Days 1-7 but which one should I focus on for TMJ/Neck/Shoulder pain and how many times should I do it per day?

    Hi Adam! It is not possible for me to even hold out my arm straight in the nerv flossing because it is like a string of pain all the way from the fingers to the bicep. I was wondering if there are any more ways to help with that, feels like these nerves might be very inflamed?

    • @dradamfields
      @dradamfields  4 года назад +1

      If you are having weakness or symptoms down your arm that are unrelenting, be very cautious. Otherwise, go for it but listen to your body. If you get a flare up you can ice for 15 min afterward. If you get worse during the exercise, stop and take note of what type of exercise gave you the pain. All that being said, I think you are in the right place and should be doing neck exercises regularly.

    On the first nerve flossing exercise, I feel the strain even before being able to bend my hand back. Is it better to raise my arm in order to bend the hand back, or should I keep the arm down and out and not bend the hand back very far at all? What else can I do to loosen this up? I am extremely tight on that movement. Thank you.
