I'm glad I found your channel. I've been looking for a decorative, functional and cool way to protect the chainstay on my mountain bike. Assuming this won't inhibit tire clearance, I think we've got a winner!
@@secondhandlyon2603 Thanks.. I guess the chance of "waisting" 2-3' of cordage isn't the most pressing of my concerns...lol.. I think I must have smoked my lunch that day, ...I do appreciate you shooting me an answer to a kind of foolish question.. ~peace
Thanks!!! This made my Benchmade fixed Adamas look even more badass than before! I used some digi camo cord (mostly od green with bits of tan and black throughout) on my Adamas, which is Desert Sand in color, and it looks sick and feels awesome!
@@gochi6542 NICE! You'll love it! I initially planned to just wrap it until I could make some actual G10 handle scales, but I liked how it turned out so much that I'm leaving it! And when it does need replacing, I'll just wrap it the same way. The knife, itself, has a lot to do with it. Because I've wrapped plenty of knives in the past and just hated the look and feel. This wrap on the adamas blade is just a perfect match IMHO. I hope you like it as much as me!
👍Used this outstanding weave on the Rock Island Armory VR80 Semi-Auto Shotgun forend hand rail. Wrapped the forend hand rail with the "flat-top" part of this weave on the bottom of the forend hand rail. Common sense, since with the knife weave the "flat-top" sits in the palm of the hand. On the forend of a long gun, your support hand palm is positioned on the bottom of the forend hand rail. Worked out great for me. Great heat shield with rapid firing of 12ga shotgun ammo. 🇺🇲Stay well. Go in peace.
EXTRA HELP HERE over handle, over, under, pull over handle, under, over, pull Switch 4.5 feet of rope. 4.5 inch handle. When first starting, stagger the rope to be longer on the back side (the side with the knots, opposite sharp end). About 8-9 inches. This way the rope will be even by the time you get to the end.
I’m going to have to watch this video several time to keep track of when to bring the cord up through the bottom versus down through the top. But I really like this as a handle cover.
put two loops of a smaller diameter of the paracord under the winding, then thread the ends into them, tighten and pull out these individual loops..Hello,....
Hmm. Don't know if the pace or the metronome tick-tock made my eyelids heavy. (YAWN!) Sorry. All in all, decent wrapping but I'm concerned the wraps aren't secured well enough that they won't come unraveled. But maybe it's just me? Inquiring minds wanna know. Overnout
I never thought a square knot would look so nice as a wrap. But then again, you make every paracord project look good. Thanks for making this video. What would you recommend as a wrap for a spinning fishing rod (the butt end of the rod handle)?
I guess I did it backwards but here’s the only way my brain can understand it: Blade right: Left under right Right under left Blade left: Right under left Left under right Hope this saves someone hours bc this took me forever to figure out 🫡

How do you determine how long of a piece of 550 to start with?
About 12 to 16 feet or 4 to 5 meters is my guess. It depends on the wrap style. I've done a few and that's my guess

Here for THIS!
Oh its a bunch of square knots on each side , nice.
Used this on a vintage Case knife that had a damaged handle, turned out perfect. Thank you!
Haha this is what I’m looking to do to a old case hunting knife also
Took me about 45 minutes to get the pattern down. Thank you for the video

Hi from Ukraine 🇺🇦💪💯🚀💥 your video is great and knots are very nice! Thanks 👍👍
This is just like West Country whipping, except you use a square knot rather than an over hand knot. Looks good ! Thanks!
Nice work very helpful! How do you do the knot at the end?😊
Really like that wrap
Ficou muito top amigo 👏🏾
7-6 5 pm. Please if you can tell me where to look to wrap a small flashlight. I’m a little frustrated, but will stay the course.

cool, but how much paracord do I need?
That's a good looking wrap.

I alternated the pattern it make the wrap more tight and a bigger grip

I like that knife. What is it?
How many feet of paracord did you use for that knife handle size?
1' = 1"
@@chookum5093 1’=1” for what width of handle? Without this info, how do you come up with the number?
Awesome!.. what kind of knife and sheath is that??
It looks like a wildsteer wt4 or wt4 xl, they came with that sheath also but not sure about it..😉
put two loops of a smaller diameter of the paracord under the winding, then thread the ends into them, tighten and pull out these individual loops..Hello,....
Ya think it’ll work on a smooth oval handle?
Starting length of paracord?
Right "left" left "Right"
This was it's own kind of hell to have to take instructions from.
How many feet of paracord do you need for this?
Ummmm question.... how big are the two pilot holes on top and bottom???
Can this be done on a bat handle?
Thanks! Just wrapped my training knives 😎 peace!
That's a nice looking knife what is it ?
How do you do the knot at the end
Why the quotation marks on "knife"? And what knife is that?
Does anybody know where to get handle-less knives from...please!?
Amazon, maybe.
benchmade
Can you do this on an actual knife handle? I have an old Vietnam era Kabar from my dad when he served. Would like to try to wrap the handle
How about centering more the knots? it would add uniform thickness to the very middle of the handle, and it wont look too squared on one side.
Where did you get the knife
How you make the last round knot? Not shown in this video
What would you recommend for a machete
a different person's tutorial

they should be enough secured if you are tightening them properly.
Isn't the paracord Handle mainly for survival Needs For rope? Not just looks.
Just tie square knots. Sure knots are secure (don't tie granny knots. Granny knots are knot secure)
I literally almost died
Used this wrap style on a hunting knife I had, worked phenomenal with 550 paracord, Cheers !

That wrap doesn't work, it's complicated and it's not functional, try to untangle that and put it back together, it's going to take a long time.
Paracord is not easy on the hands, be careful when tightening.
