Small tip: If you don't want your outposts that are getting infested, claiming your outposts that had no doors or rooftops (Examples: Cell tower, oil tank, seeds store, etc...). Those zeds won't infest them at all.
I just noticed this too. I was wondering why my cell towers aren't getting infested(I had a run where I only had cell towers and the landmark as outposts) and thought them being open area might be a factor.
Also some time plague heart are not connected to each other so you can kill few of them off without waking other one around it How to check if plague heart are connected to each other 1 open your map 2 move your cusor to the plague heart itself if you see extra hight light from the one you check that mean it connected to each other
A couple of minor points: There are quests that put an infestation on the map. At least 3 of them that I can think of. Also, Trumble Valley and Drucker County also have guaranteed cell towers close to the starting base that are free in Lethal difficulty.
They are not 100% guaranteed unclaimed cell towers! The infestations spawned by quests will not multiply or cause sieges. So not a problem. But 3 curveballs can awaken plague hearts which is beyond players' control.
I have zero infestations because I stopped playing. Undead Labs ruined the game, they even admitted in a stream that player feedback was there were too many infestations - so then they add even more..

Have you considered doing more tier lists for the bases, traits, skills, and weapons?

Infestations aren't my main worry anymore but the chance of a black plague heart spawning with the fuel deficency bane.
You forgot to mention that zombies killed by ai characters don’t count towards awakening a heart. Will you guys be covering sod3 when it comes out?
Our followers' kills will wake up plague hearts. But enclave members' kill won't.
Of course, I will be covering SOD3.

Have you ran tests with siege sites? I want to have a prestige-farm community but the siege sites doesn't trigger after the third siege.
farming prestige from sieges is not a good idea.
If I supress every plague hearts,and if I also secure every spots of the map, why there are stille some isolated zombies?
Drucker County also has an unclaimed cell tower just down from the starter base.
That tower won't always be unclaimed. I give it 80% probability to be unclaimed.

How are we supposed to know the distance between a screamer and the dormant plague heart?
Why do you want to know the distance? Other than whether it is being inside a territory or not

Aww poor you. There's not more infestations; you have control over it(and sieges) now instead of it being rng. It's way nicer this way.
