Arista then forced Linn, using threats, to sing "Everytime It Rains" solo (for the band but without Jenny) in an apparent attempt to increase her visibility and eventually to try to make her the lead singer and frontwoman of the band like she used to be (rejecting in the process Jenny's recording of the song, apparently just because it wasn't Linn's). Naturally, Linn deeply resented how they treated her (and probably Jenny) in this case--with utter disdain for her wishes. I suppose this was the last straw for her regarding her willingness to stay in the band, although she would stay on nevertheless for several additional years for the sake of her siblings and what they wanted. Jonas was only telling part of the story--clearly there was a lot more to it than that. As for Jonas' relationship with Linn, they live very close together (just a few houses apart), so he sees and does things with her quite frequently--they've been spotted shopping together, so it's not like she's holed up on her own island or in a dungeon. ;) They've always been close and I'm sure that he loves his sister...but I can't help but think that he's still working on getting her back into the studio, as he, much like Ulf, is so business-minded. He has finally gotten her to talk about music with him again lately, and he's been demoing his newest songs for her. This does not, however, necessarily mean that she will sing them--that would be a huge leap from merely talking about music or even listening to demos, but progress is being made, in any case. Meanwhile, Jenny has changed her mind and said that they're done working together (as Ace of Base), and would focus instead on being family. It's stressful to do both (her relationship with Jonas was seriously strained when he went and replaced Linn and her with two other girls, which didn't pan out), and at this point she chooses to put family first.
