I found this cassette in my neighborhood in ~1996, It blew me away !! that slow, sublime music, on the top of that Linn's iconic crispy voice, I have not heard anything like this before. There is and there will be only one ACE OF BASE ever. I wish all the four original members, very very happy and healthy life for many many years to come.
I'm from Morocco. Ace Of Base was my Favourite band in the 90's. It's 2018 and I still listen to their songs with the same enthusiasm i had when i was 15. Good music never dies.
I loved them growing up but as a grown man almost 40 I couldn't possibly admit that. That is....until I learned something that I respect so much it's not even right how mindful they are. I never did understand what the heck they were talking about. All that she wants is another baby she's gone tomorrow? We are bouncing on the same side of destiny? I saw the sign life is demanding without understanding? So I saw in an interview that they gave a few years back that their one rule for making music was that nobody was allowed to put messages of any kind into the music. They could have lyrics but only random nonsense. That's because they said everywhere you look someone is telling young people what the believe how to think how to identify how to act when the only people young people should be listening to are their parents, their teachers, God, and themselves. It actually became a problem when the US record company didn't allow them to produce the Sign album for US release unless they included a cover of Don't Turn Around. Well, the band felt that the lyrics were too suggestive in that they actually tell a story and therefore risk making a point to conveying a message unintentionally. I think that that is just the most humble way to approach music. Hey we can make fun beats and make you wanna dance but we aren't anyone important you should be taking your direction in life from. I'm sure a lot of it is just that their parents were so strict after school they only were allowed to come back home and they decided to play music as a family in their time after school. Such a beautiful family. Now can say proudly yea, I love Ace of Base lol.

It was one of the cassettes I kept carefully on my bedside table in my room... And of course the others. Now I am in my 29th year of my profession and I still listen to it and I am happy. I listened to this album for the first time in 1996-1997, learned of it from a Polish friend. I adored it as a child as strange as it may sound. I revisited this album again in 2019. I still adore it. It is the edge of heaven listening to this album, nostalgic, honest, European
This Album is an absolute masterpiece! I love all of Ace Of Base's Albums, but for me this album stands out hugely. It's like their music has grown up/gone to the next level since the Happy Nation Album with different Ace of Base sounds... the original sound will always be there within the music. I do, however, wish we still had Ace Of Base bringing out new music, because I wonder if they know just how much everyone needs their music to put a smile on our faces.
I agree with you. The Bridge album is definitely their best album. The Aces also looked the best in this era. Ace of Base could still bring out new music (by releasing demos). We have Hidden Gems 2 now, in time we just might get Hidden Gems 3!

I listened to this album for the first time in 1996-1997, learned of it from a Polish friend. I adored it as a child as strange as it may sound. I revisited this album again in 2019. I still adore it. It is the edge of heaven listening to this album, nostalgic, honest, European

This Album is an absolute masterpiece! I love all of Ace Of Base's Albums, but for me this album stands out hugely. It's like their music has grown up/gone to the next level since the Happy Nation Album with different Ace of Base sounds... the original sound will always be there within the music. I do, however, wish we still had Ace Of Base bringing out new music, because I wonder if they know just how much everyone needs their music to put a smile on our faces.
I agree with you. The Bridge album is definitely their best album. The Aces also looked the best in this era. Ace of Base could still bring out new music (by releasing demos). We have Hidden Gems 2 now, in time we just might get Hidden Gems 3!

Ingegerd/Iryna/Anna orthodox saint, born in Västergötland, Sweden with a slavic/Obotritic princess mother. She had nine siblings and half-siblings.. The siblings in Ace of Base are probably related like Bodil in Timoteij etc. They have their deepest roots in Västergötland like Iryna... That explains their looks, musicality and spirituality....

Крутой альбом,в 95 году он на фоне других групп не выстрелил так ярко,как заслуживал.Но они повлияли на поп музыку после них,многие песни опережали свое время.
