Join me as I take an in-depth look at a new tabletop miniatures game from Modiphius the creators of Fallout Wasteland Warfare! Not in the Core Rule Box Set! The miniatures are sold in separate packs. Be sure to check out the pinned comment for more details and to access PDFs of most of these books. :)
Hey Justin! Thanks for watching the video. With its core mechanics based off FWW, that's a big plus for solo gamers! I don't promise playthroughs, but I take feedback on interest! :)
No miniatures - at the end of the contents list it says 'Miniatures Available Separately' - man, this looks fun, but you can bet the minis will be expensive. And I think you might need a LOT of minis ...
@@marksdicetales Yeah, my thoughts too - I think the 'official' figures will come with specific stat cards, meaning you will need those figures to get the stats. I remember Games Workshop withdrawing a whole set of rules once they discovered people were using what they had instead of the 'official' figures. I hear good things about Fallout, but the price here (New Zealand) made me reconsider.
So silly to me that a Core Box doesn’t include any miniatures for a miniature game. Why not just combine the Core Box with the set that includes the Dragonborn and Draugr?
Hey Camden! I can understand your thoughts. This is the case with their prior entry as well (Fallout Wasteland Warfare). It helped them with timing/production issues of printed materials and minis.
Not had much experience in either 2 missions in each game but skyrim is Slightly more complex .. due to extra abilities like hide and boosts .. more dice compare and check unlike rangers simple roll and compare 2d20 .. also so far rangers had nice tailored events for each mission where skyrim events are a little generic for now.. 1st impressions from me any how..
yeah i would have to disagree, i think they look great. i like that they were able to get icons and photos direct from the game. What is it you dont like about them?
Only thing that looks okay the use of the visuals in the card designs. Design of the backs of the cards was out of fashion 10 years ago. Looks like it was made with Paint. Even background design for items and armors has not been made. It looks like a draft.
I have no idea how this plays, but they should have worked more on the cards. The art on most cards is pathetic. Even the layout and other graphics on some card types are too boxy and uninspired. For a game that doesn't have minis and has so many cards, I would expect their presentation to be way better because now it looks like a cash grab. I love the Elder Scrolls series so hopefully, the gameplay is so good that I won't care about how the game looks. And as I write this I realize that all the art is stills from the game. I'm all for nostalgia, but I can't help but attribute this either to laziness or an effort to cut corners.
Thanks for watching! Be sure to check out the pinned comment for more information as always! They package and sell the minis separate and this states the Core Rules Box Set. So the rules and structure to play. :)
About the art? Yeah, maybe, but perhaps it's to draw in players of the video game? But I agree, you should be able to look at a card and instantly tell what it's about.

Hey! Thanks for watching and hope it helped you get a better look at all the cards. Cheers
Can't wait for the full play through! I just pre-ordered everything. So excited for a wargame that has solo and coop build in from the ground up.

Happy to help you find it!
That extra card is the shout card for the Dragonborn (13:44)
Ah! Thanks for clarifying that. Should have known. 😄
It doesn’t look like it has everything in the core set to start playing. Do you need to buy the miniature sets?

How does this game compare to something like Rangers of Shadow Deep?
Hey Nick! Great question but unfortunately I haven’t played that one but it’s certainly one I want to try. Cheers!

@@marksdicetales Do the delves build off each other? Or are they just straight one offs and what happens in one has no impact on others?
what no minis? weird

i really like this game
Glad to hear this is one you enjoy! Have a good one Leo. Cheers!
Thanks for showing Adam. I thought the cards were really good especially the player boards.
Thanks for checking out the video! Hope it helps you out Brandon :)
Thank you 🤗 unfortunately card designs looks awful :(
Hey SG! Certainly wouldn’t agree it’s awful as I’ve seen awful haha. Not every game is for everyone though. Thanks for watching! :)
