So, I bought the game probably more than one year ago but I soon gave up on trying it because the game seemed to me overly complicated and the rulebook didn't help present stuff in a easy way for me. Your video is exceptionally clear so thank you very much for this and I hope you keep posting videos for this game. One thing I couldn't understand from the book is if there is or not some sort of campaign mode. It seems to me a fantastic opportunity to have an RPG-style of campaign mode but I couldn't find anything, just some linked scenarios if I remember correctly. Lost opportunity?

great video and I see Gears of war in the background that was a great game too! on this game I'm planning to revisit call to Arms with its updated rules due soon if not out now? , I'm proxying in a smaller scale though one thing is not commented on solo mode the event deck is very repetitive i think that bugged me 1st time out disease and secret tunnel over and over again, only 1-2 card variations each game.. I've been hovering on getting an expansion and the 2nd thing that i remember bugging me is the shadow creature skeleton archer tactics are often not what expected. im not quite sure what expansion to get the plan is to play core again and see if i like enough to expand i guess, do you play solo or vs most ?
Love gears of war! I think it’s an underrated gem. The hand management/health system is perfect for a dungeon crawler. The updated rules aren’t out yet. They released a beta version and let the community take notes. They are only changing how it’s organized though so it isn’t changing the game itself. Other then adding the reaction action to adversaries. The expansions add a ton of content! Definitely worth it and for playing solo it might be good to also check out the histories of empire vol. 1. The campaign is pretty incredible with how much they have in there. Including an actual map of Skyrim that you fight for territory on. Thank you for commenting! Thank you so much! I've had the game since the game was first released, but I dragged my heels about getting the plastic starter figures done until months ago. I'm on the Fallout/Elder Scrolls demo team, but this video helped so much. You can easily get overwhelmed, but it's like the crusty old guy at work used to say, "How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time." It's just a matter of figuring out your start up, reading the cards and knowing what the various symbols mean and what the abilities mean. Starting with a Delve with the Dragonborn vs a few Draugr is a perfect way to teach and learn the game. I tried to learn/teach the game with a friend, and it sucked. I didn't fully grasp it until I played a Delve solo vs AI, and it was 100 septims, though I only gave the Dragonborn the sword and shield and the healing potion. I didn't give her any other items. The first time I tried to teach/demo the game at a con last January, the guy I was "showing" ended up teaching me as we stumbled through the rulebook and still got a few things wrong. You can't pull an Aragorn by blocking arrows unless you have the skill/ability. I'm going to try to go to a friend's house this week to refresh my memory and this video helped a LOT. I'll be doing Fallout and Elder Scrolls demos at the Huntsville Pop Culture and Comic Book Expo April 21-23 in Huntsville, Al.
Good luck with the demos! It really is just taking it piece by piece. Once it starts clicking it’s actually very smooth and easy to play since all the rules are so thematic.

Do I need to get chapter 1 cards and the appropriate mini box for it to start chapter 1? Or if I have the miniature upgrade set box and the core box, is that enough to get started and learn the game?
The core rule box and some minis are enough to start! But I would recommend picking up chapter one cards if you are interested. It comes with lots of items and the stat cards for more minis so you can choose what you want to get next.
Are there a list of boostable tests? Some actions allow to boost but not all. For example if i test my intelligence for Puzzle Objective, can i boost with 1 stamina?

I only have bleak falls barrow delve set. I want to play battle mod also. Can we play battle mod with different fractions? For example quest book always mention about stormcloak and imperial fractions on battle mod. Will you share a battle mod scenerio video for different fractions other than stormcloak and imperials? Is it playable for 1 player?
You can play battle mode with any two factions! All you have to do is choose your septim limit and then put your teams together to battle each other. My first battle mode scenario will be stormcloak vs. imperials, but I just started collecting dawnguard so I will get a battle mode with them in as well. For 1 player, delve mode is the way to go.

Great video! I’ve played 10-12 times and still noticed some things I’m here that I missed! I had no idea the skeletons couldn’t crit me, I lost many a game due to a single arrow dropping my champion with a well rolled critical.
