Firstly, people beg for desktop level ultra-high performance gaming in a LAPTOP, and then they complain the laptop is too big ?? Jesus man, get a Macbook Air then.

Clearly there are problems sourcing panels in this size - options are very limited. MSI tells us they expect Titan owners will connect the laptop to an external display or TV.

Considering the panel size I would be tempted to argue that 4k was a tad wasted simply because I don't think you'll get the full benefit at that 18 inches. However, why oh why do these companies refuse to use 2k panels at 100hz+ with gsync? That just sounds perfect to me for laptops. Nobody's doing this! perhaps there's a supply issue...
Great review thanks, what a beast of a machine and definitely not pretty. There is something quite retro looking about the base of the laptop, reminds me of some 80s home computers such as the bbc micro or Dragon 32/64!

2 gtx 1080s with a 60hz screen? That's a total waste. They've essentially bottlenecked the gpus because the screen can't display anything past 60 fps. Total waste of money and power.
It looks like quite an impressive project, but I can't imagine why anyone would want it. Even if you're rich, there are probably better solutions out there. And if you're rich you won't be wanting for space in your living quarters anyway. If you're planning on taking a holiday and want to bring a gaming PC with you you might as well get an mATX box and just buy yourself a new monitor wherever you're going, it'll probably still come out cheaper than this thing and the sound of the fans won't drive anyone living near you and possibly even you yourself crazy.
What a waste of money with such a screen! One must be crazy to buy this. Get an Asus or an Acer 21x that have either 4k or 2k with high refresh rate, instead... Sourcing screens is no longer an excuse if competition can do it...
Im buying this from ibuypower for 4,135 in september gimme a thumbs up guys cause arma 3 and low graphics here i come! Lol help me im scared to run anything higher then medium cause this my first "real" gaming anything
I am planning on buying tgis to replace my 4 year old desktop.1 question, will MSI provide upgrade service for the MXM graphic card? if so is it global or only in selected countries?
I'm super late to the party. But I just picked one up for 2500 usd on Amazon (now last years model) and it's been the best deal ever! Love this laptop, totally worth it for the price I got it for.
This shit would’ve been good still crazy expensive if it had a 120 hz or a 144 hz screen with g sync and a better resolution
They could've atleast added a 120hz g-sync monitor...

Sorry KitGuru but what do you expect when having so much power under hood which generates a lot of heat you will need a lot of fan power to cool it down. If it does get too loud for some ppl, well they should then get a desktop or a laptop with lesser power.
A pure games does not care about fan noise..
Also it now comes with a RGP Keyboard if it makes you happy..
I own the latest model and it is an absolute beast without any limits, if you need a better screen get a desktop with a proper screen..
Also it is ment for VR like it says on the Model description but can also handle anything you through at it.
This is currently, when it comes to benchmark the most powerful Laptop on the market it is beating the new 9K Azer and the new Asus with ease.... if you dont believe me research the Benchmark tests which are easy to find on the web..
Also it has an overclocking program installed which lets you get even more power out of this Laptop, well if there wouldnt be the Fan noise ;) ...
