Nice! My install went clean and easy but when I get into Drastic none of my buttons work, an I cant navigate the menu to reconfig them. Any advice?

Works wonderful thanks. Quick question, how do you use cheats on drastic? I just want to obtain certain evolutions like Gengar which are impossible to obtain in emulators

nice except i think you forget to tell us less cpu savy where did you get the N64 games folder from?? It just seemed to magically appear on your desktop.
He made a folder and just pasted his roms in it. Google some roms you want, download them and paste them in an NDS folder that you create

Just got a R36s during the aliexpress sale, So sure. Last time I got the R35s they released the R36s, so prep for an R37s I guess
Hi @retrolunch, i have a problem. The games work fine, but i can't move the stylus (even after pressing the power button), and the screens don't change. Basically, i have no control.

Not exactly sure where i went wrong with it, but when i boot an NDS game like this, it just flashes a black screen and right back to the menu again.
i accidentally nested my folders. it was APPS/APPS/DRASTIC, rather than just APPS/DRASTIC
can you further clarify, i had the same problem
@@ionicxm check your APPS folder, see if there's an additional APPS folder in there with a DRASTIC folder inside of it. The drastic folder needs to be in the top one.

@@ionicxmwhat I did is I transferred everything from my original apps folder on the card to the new one from the drastic file, and then saved over the old file with the new one, also did the same thing with the skin folder so that the icon would pop up. Also make sure if you have the stock OS
Installed that you switch over the the garlic OS in your rg35xx settings. Drastic only shows up when in that OS system so if you’re trying to get it to show up on the stock OS it wont happen. I do plan on helping anyone with this best I can so feel free to message here if you have questions

Just create an NDS folder in the ROMS directory and add your game backups

im so confused, i get to the part where i copy to config core mapping and its no there? am i doing something wrong? it just has two files there drastic cf2 and cfg :(
I can’t get the nds folder to show up. i put a rom in it and nothing comes up in the console menu. I have tried adding gba games on a folder that already owned a folder but the folder I created and names NDS still hasn’t shown up. Should I be using 2 sd cards?

Thank you for the video. Here it worked perfectly. I only have a problem. A new icon has been created in the console list in addition to the Drastic icon, An icon like a cmd window. Is there a way to remove this icon and keep only the Drastic icon?
Do you also have the drastic icon as well and its working?
Check your coremapping.json file to make sure the entry is some where in the middle. If its at the end of the file, remove the comma at the end of the line.

Did you solve this issue. I don't like having both nds icon and a broken drastic icon, games launch from both so would rather hide the broken drastic one.
Wait I am about to play nintendogs it’s a touch screen game how do I play a ds game that a device doesn’t have a touch screen
@@KileighDerla it’s not a great experience, you tap the power button to activate the virtual stylus. It moves with the D-pad and touch is a button push.

So I went to the menu to use the touchscreen then hit return to default now the menu won’t open how do I fix it
I followed all the instructions, but I can't launch ROMs by choosing the NDS console icon (which just says "NDS") and hitting A on the game I want, only by starting DraStic through the APPS console and opening the ROM through DraStic. The games play fine but I'd like it to work the way you showed. Can you help? Using the one-SD-card system.
Double check the line inserted into the json file. Make sure the line is in the middle of the file with the comma, or at the end with no comma

There is no generic way to do it. I’ve seen patches for legend of Zelda games and one I haven’t tried for Star Fox Command
what does the patch do exactly ? ive read in the sheet that those zelda games need mic's to work so they arent recommended the second one specially.
I am not sure of all the changes, but it remaps controls to the D-Pad

I have a question, I’m very confused here when I plugged the SD card into my computer it’s telling me I have to format it. Will that delete everything I have on the SD card if I do that?
Don’t format the card if it’s telling you to. That just your operating system unable to read the Linux file system on Garlic OS. But the card has multiple partitions on it, so open the other ones that Windows can read

Im having a little trouble with the controls. I have done everything step by step in this tutorial and I do see the nds icon in my games section on garlic and I can see my games but when I try to open them they seems to be working perfectly fine but I cant do anything from there. My controls do nothing

@@brentonrozell9079 my only solution was to delete garlic os and try on a different one. I ended up on min ui and it worked. Min ui also looks a lot cleaner

Unfortunately it didn´t work for me very well... i followed the guide step by step, but the games don´t work in the NDS Folder - instead i have now drastic installed in the Games Menu and can start games from there - but the controls are all messed up and it just isn´t conveniend to start games like this - can you help me here? :)
That must be an issue with the line in the coremapping.json file
That is the part which connects the NDS folder to the emulator
Thank You very much for the fast reply! The NDS folder is working now, it seems i had used the wrong line in config. But still i have the problem with the controls... left is up and down is right an something like that, i tried to change it in the Drastic menu, but it doesn´t work...

This port of Drastic is just for GarlicOS 1
does this all work the same on mac?
Yes, I used Win32DiskImager in the video to flash the SD card, but Balena Etcher works on OS X

Are you using the stock Operating System that it comes with? This tutorial assumes you have already installed Garlic OS 1.3.3
For the ds files are they supposed to be zipped or unzip?

In my case, I bought a new SD card and kept the original as a backup. The SD cards you purchase are usually more reliable from failing. If you are going to format the SD card it comes with, take a backup of the card on a computer because it will wipe everything
