I want to get a retro handheld game console not only bcs i can play all the pokemon games it has and also relive my childhood memories by playing the retro games I love and growing up with. I fell in love with gaming when NES first came out, I was playing with it at a game store in our local shopping mall and when my dad saw how I was into it he bought it for me as my birthday gift and my first retro game was Super Mario Bros, after that my dad bought another couple of games, Kung Fu and Ice Hockey as times goes by new tv game console came out it is Super Nintendo System and they came out this game cartilage, 100 in 1 games something like that and when I was 8 years old i bought my first GBC with my own savings and my birthday money as time goes by i stopped gaming cause due to busy with work but now I'm in my 40s retired so have time in my hand so I ordered R36S now i can't wait to get my hands on it.
@JustChill_TV it always starts there. Then you remember other games you played on those consoles, or tell someone and you see how happy they get when they tell you about their experience with other games. You probably won't get to 30k. But 50 games with memories you cycle through is a level of happiness that everyone can appreciate.

Thanks, Josh. You're absolutely correct about channels putting too much focus on the hardware and not on whats actually important, which is games they can play and how we can take advantage of these devices to make the gameplay more enjoyable. The last thing I want is for you guys to spend endless hours tinkering and messing with settings and completing missing the point of these handhelds, which is to play your favorite games and discover new favorites you never had the chance to play.

Hey guys, I successfully got the Wild Pokemon Modifier to work. Do you guys want it? It's 3 codes and and you'll have to be on the 1.0 versions of firered and leafgreen.
I just finished playing Crystal Legacy on my PS Vita. It had been a while since I played one of the first 2 gens, I forgot how freakin' slow the game is at times. I played the entire thing at 5x speed and it was fantastic. I had never heard of Radical Red before, I'll have to check that out. I just started a nuzlocke of LeafGreen, randomized, with no catching allowed (only gift/purchased pokemon). I found out by accident that in Retroarch you can start a file in one ROM, then swap in a different ROM with the same name, and the save will still work. I haven't found an application for this yet lol but it was really surprising.
So an interesting use case for this, especially if you want box arts and the games to be recognized by console in RetroArch, is to create a save file on an emerald (or any other version) file with NTE (no trade evos) to be able to evolve your trade evo mons, then replace the NTE version with a clean unpatched version so it properly displays the game. That’s my best use Pokémon specific case for this
I am apparently a "grown up" and still love the Pokémon Core Games (at least) - I cannot say that I have loved every game in the series... or that I have loved every generation's introduced 'mons... but I find it hard to find good monster collector/tamer/battlers with a similar degree of - mostly optional - depth - type match-ups, type effectiveness, STAB, move coverage, abilities, natures, megas, evolutions and on and on... the entire series to me is as simple or as complex as you want it to be
sorry but I have two questions for you: why when I write the code and enable it it still doesn't work? I tried multiple times and on multiple games, but the result is the same, I think I missed a passage at this point. second question: for codes with more than one line, how do you make the various lines? there isn't an "enter key " on the system's keyboard... thanks in advance!

If you're running retroarch via the device, you'll likely be using cheats, particularly gameshark cheat codes (cannot be used if you want retroachievements though) but if you go to the updater, there's a option to download a cheats database, you can enable certain cheats in quick menu (usually there's a master cheat you enable for many of the others to function) but essentially there should be ones for the tickets for the event island.

First time i tried the fightcam and the other one i was exploring the city and got into a puzzle. I couldn’t leave in both of them scenarios and had to reboot. ( i didn’t know and so i didnt save the game…) Long story short, do you know how to habdle that?

Hey how do I get to the “quick menu” from the device? I’ve pressed the menu button on the system but takes me to a different menu. Can’t get to the cheats
Gen 4 & 5 are DS games. The experience is a bit compromised because you'll be having to switch back and forth between the top and bottom screens. Also, there's no touch input, so you'll have to use the power to turn on stylus support. Overall, it's a bit awkward but doable. Try it for yourself. You may be okay with it.

Can you do a tutorial for the original RG35XX if possible?
Any chance you still have any stickers?
Been trying to use cheats for Pokémon hgss golden edition. It uses the same cheats as the original game. But when I run it on my RG35++ it doesn’t pick up any cheats. Have any ideas how to fix this? I’m going crazy trying to figure it out 😂
Hi there I have the R36S and have been playing pokemon diamond but it keeps crashing now when I try to load up the game it just comes up with a white screen I saw on Reddit that I can fix this by adding a new core and emulator but when I view the core and emulator it just says default and I can’t change it. Do you know how to fix this?
How did you Change the fast forward speed?
On this device, is it possible to get the tickets in Emerald in order to catch mew, lugio, ho-oh, deoxys and more? I have a rg35xx+ myself and would like to catch all the event legendaries. I use a normal Pokemon Emerald ROM, so no modded version.
What if my device does not have the start retroarch option?
I'm playing storm silver rom. Anyway to enter cheats for this? It's using drastic
Hey, thanks for the very useful video. Spent like 5 hours just to prepair my pokemon for the top4 and saw that video 1 day after just to realize i could save so much time with rare candy.
I have a important question for pokemon soulsilver (nds). Is there any solution for the touch pad? I just got stuck 2 times because the touchpad was required. First time i tried the fightcam and the other one i was exploring the city and got into a puzzle. I couldn’t leave in both of them scenarios and had to reboot. ( i didn’t know and so i didnt save the game…)
Long story short, do you know how to habdle that?
Depends what device ru using?
@@JaviPlayRetro so sorry for that missing information. It‘s a rx35xx plus.
I found the solution: just one click on the power button and the dpad switches to a cursor.
But thanks for the fast reply. You got my abo😀 well deserved
Can you do a Video on how to wild spawn a pokemon of choice, cant get it to work, not sure what cheats I need on/off etc
Can you please make a video on how to make cheat codes to work for Pokemon Emerald on the R36S? I'm not able to get it to work
i'm playing pokemon yellow but i didnt find a way for use cheat on it, can't understand
Hey how do I get to the “quick menu” from the device? I’ve pressed the menu button on the system but takes me to a different menu. Can’t get to the cheats
Select + X
Do you know where I can get codes for Pokémon Emerald. I can’t find any that work 😢
Played through all of Ruby then after I beat Stephen it forces you you save which boots you out to the title screen. Bummer.
How do you trade or battle on red blue or yellow
Hey brand new to all of this, i just got an RG35XX Plus with the idea of pokemon games, whats your opinion on putting gen 4 and 5 on this lil thing?
Gen 4 & 5 are DS games. The experience is a bit compromised because you'll be having to switch back and forth between the top and bottom screens. Also, there's no touch input, so you'll have to use the power to turn on stylus support. Overall, it's a bit awkward but doable. Try it for yourself. You may be okay with it.
@JaviPlayRetro thank you so much for the response, looking more into your channel is showing me that and I think I'm pretty okay with it, just being able to get that is pretty cool. Definitely intimidated by the process with never having any experience in it but your videos look like they'll help!
@JaviPlayRetro I've never gone about getting roms and emulators and what not so unsure about how to download and set them all up and what not but shouldn't be too bad
