    The "inconsistent feel" and the bottoming out from the xplor fork was due to wp cheaping out and not putting a mid-valve in. Worst fork every designed. Moving to a cc fork stock was a face saving move, and very welcome one, at that. The other upgrades are very nice, but f you've never experienced a cc fork for enduro, this is the #1 reason to get this bike, hands down.

    I living on 5 acres an i want to put a small mx track on the front 3 acres an im watch because notoriously the enduro bikes are much quieter i really have no noise ordinance but i want my neighbors to be happy an a race four stroke or yami yz 250. 2 smoke mite be too loud unless i can build a custom carbon fiber silence that cuts the noise down by a ton...i enjoy the motor sound im not ready for an electric bike yet...that would be the solution but i want the noise still.....

    • @tireballastserviceofflorid7771
      @tireballastserviceofflorid7771 Год назад +1

      With dirt bikes you can't generally build a quit muffler. The quite the muffler the more the heat load on the engine. And the jetting will have to be changed or tuned if not within the window of fuel injection. A new stock bike will all be about the same noise level. New 2 storkes don't really smoke either. It's clear your new to riding. I suggest heading to a local mx track and get to know some people. Help you decide the best bike for you. As a starter bike depending on your size.look at the ttr 125 or the ttr 230. Maybe Dr 200. You will need some saddle time before you fly. If you just build a ramp and nail it without knowing what your doing, you will brake your neck.

    I have the xc tbi 250 version. 1.5 hrs, has always had a nasty bog @ part throttle off idle and or getting on the throttle at lower to mid rpm. If you're standing and counting on the power for balance, it becomes annoying real quick. My tbi 250 feels loaded up at slower speeds. 60:1 oem oil and plug.
    My te150i was much more luggable and didn't have any bogging or flat spots.

      Usually when you have weird feeling injection bike it’s either the ccp sensor or ambient air pressure sensor.. try switching them to see if it changes and then replace them. I’ve had some work for 80+ hours and some 5 hours

    What is your height and weight if you don’t mind me asking? I am new to dirt bikes and was interested in the 150 but the salesman said I’m too big for it. He was steering me toward the 250. I’m just looking to enjoy the woods with my buddies and was worried about buying too much bike as I am pretty inexperienced. My only experience is riding pit bikes around back yard homemade tracks. Thanks in advance.

      Six foot one, 180 lbs with gear on. The 150 is a bit underpowered but if you are a new rider it might suit you. Size was not an issue in terms of height, weight, etc.

      @that427dude Год назад +2

      @@cyclenews okay. I think the salesman was more concerned with its power and my weight. I am 6’ 220lbs. I was initially looking at the Honda CRF250RX which has 37hp and then I saw the 150 which also has 37hp and have just heard that 2 strokes are a better tool for slower, more technical woods type riding. Again, I have no idea. I’m new to all of this.

      I’m 5’9, 185# + gear, over 50A rider. I LOVED my 2019 150xcw. Climbed hills at 3k’ elevation w/sea level jetting, & raced national enduros and local xc races with it. Only sold it b/c I couldn’t afford 2 bikes and wanted more roll on torque out of slow grass track corners, otherwise it was really good for me. You being 40# heavier might be worth getting a 250xcw, but the 150 should still pull you around okay if you wanted to upgrade later. I rode mine from low to upper mid-range in the power and it hauled me just fine.

      @@that427dude My personal opinion is that the 250/300 two strokes are the bikes to get whether you are inexperienced or ride at a top level. The power is easy to manage for a beginner, but there if you need it. I ride A level, 195 w gear. Current bike: new gen 2023 Husqvarna tx 300. I have had tpi’s and about every four stroke model as well. Having said all that, I love getting on my wife’s old gen 21 Husky te 150 as well. I think you would really like the 300 though. You will probably be happy with any ktm/husky you get, but even happier with a two stroke😂
